A lovely nursery surrounded by fields and trees

Situated in a stunning setting with woods and lakes to explore, Chandlers Ford Day Nursery and Preschool is set in a beautiful converted building on the Cranbury Park Estate. The nursery is mindfully designed to support your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

The baby room features a milk kitchen, nappy unit and separate sleep area. Toddlers benefit from a large main room, creative room and dedicated potty training area. Older children can enjoy a wide range of educational resources indoors, as well as freeflow access to the spacious gardens.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Outside, each age group has access to a large AstroTurf area and age-specific resources. Babies have a separate garden to ensure their outdoor safety, while the mud kitchen, balancing equipment, bikes and more allow older children to enrich their physical development and imagination.

The staff take every opportunity to go on walks in the countryside that surround the nursery. Exploring the woods and seeing the lakes and nearby horses are all regular experiences at the nursery in Chandler’s Ford. Children also enjoy trips in the nurseries minibus to local libraries and garden centres, encouraging them to feel confident in new surroundings in the community.

Caring friendly staff who are very helpful. My daughter is in Kindergarten and has lots of opportunities to do extracurricular activities - swimming, care home visits (she loves this the most), Spanish and mini Professors science. She doesn’t get bored at nursery and has the opportunity to learn from
many different people. The staff always give you a detailed report on what your child has been up to during the day which is good.

I am very pleased with Yellow Dot Chandlers Ford. Staff are very welcoming, caring and helped my son settle very quickly into his new nursery. My son is happy, learning and enjoys very much the time he spends there. I particularly like the tapestry app where I receive a daily update of what my son has
been doing during the day. I also get monthly updates with my son's learning progress and achievements.


I have also, on one occasion, needed to book an extra morning session with just one weeks notice and the manager of the setting was very accommodating and helpful.


Finally, I really like the extra activities provided. My son attends swimming and Spanish on a weekly basis (additional payment required). However, they also organise other activities without additional costs such as visits to a Care Home, walks, mini professors sessions and even a magician for their Christmas party.


Overall a great setting that I can't recommend enough.

This Yellow Dot Nursery is amazing. All three of our children have attended the nursery and absolutely love it - the youngest one is currently in Kindergarten.


He loves going there and every day they have wonderful activities such as swimming, Mini Professors and visits to a local nursing home -

and every day we receive photos of interesting moments throughout the day by email so we truly feel part of his life there.


He is taught how to behave towards and interact with the other children and how to listen to adults in a gentle, but still effective way. And when we occasionally need to add an unscheduled day, they always do their utmost to help.


And finally, the location and surroundings are absolutely stunning with fields, horses and deer visible from the windows and on walks through the Cranbury Park Estate.

Our son is very well looked after in the toddler room. He does lots of interesting activities, often going outside and learning about (and through) nature in all weathers. The daily report helps us understand what he has done during the day. Overall, I'm really happy that our son goes to this nursery.

This nursery is by far the best I have ever could have enrolled for my child.
From the inside to the playground, my child is always delighted to be dropped off.
The team is brilliant and the settings are lovely in the middle of the countryside.

I have had nothing but a great experience of this nursery. From the managing staff to the different room staff, all have been lovely to get to know. My little one loves going and has enjoyed his two days a week at ‘Dot’ ever since doing toddlers. The room staff are all so friendly and welcome us into
the room every morning. I would definitely recommend anyone to this nursery.

Our little girl has settled into the baby room at Yellow Dot Chandlers Ford Nursery so well and although she has cried at most drop-offs, the staff have been absolutely brilliant with her. They are extremely caring and I know when I leave her she is going to have the best care which is reassuring. She
is always happy when I collect her and when I see pictures and hear what she has been doing, I can see why!

Kirsty

Kirsty

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Kirsty began her journey in Early Years in 2008, when she qualified with a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years. With 14 years of experience in childcare, she also brings the invaluable perspective of being a mum to two amazing children of her own. In 2017, she proudly graduated from the Open University with a Foundation Degree in Early Years.


She joined Bright Horizons in October 2022 and is now thrilled to be part of the Chandlers Ford team. She’s excited to support both the staff and families in this beautiful setting and to contribute to the continued growth and success of the nursery.


Passionate about mentoring and supporting fellow practitioners, she believes strongly in the power of reflection and empowerment—helping educators become the best versions of themselves. This, in turn, helps the nursery flourish and ensures the highest quality of care for the children.


She has a particular love for outdoor play and learning, and with Chandlers Ford’s stunning grounds, she looks forward to exploring every opportunity to bring this passion to life. She’s especially looking forward to working closely with the children and families in the local community.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Stacey has a genuine passion for watching children grow, learn, and flourish. She finds it incredibly rewarding to see each child reach their full potential in an environment where they feel safe, supported and happy.


With over 25 years of experience in early years education, Stacey began her career after gaining her NNEB in nursery nursing in 1997. Since then, she has worked across a variety of settings and in 2017, she completed her Level 5 Leadership qualification in Early Years Management.


Her journey started as a nursery nurse and through dedication and a love for the profession, she worked her way up to management — including owning and running her own preschool, which was a particularly proud achievement.


She has recently joined Chandlers Ford Nursery from another Bright Horizons setting and is excited to be working alongside Kirsty and the wonderful team. She’s especially looking forward to getting to know the children and families, and making the most of the nursery’s beautiful environment and outdoor space.
