The nursery environment provides an excellent opportunity for your child to learn, play and communicate with other children and adults. This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable childcare and education in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.
In October 2018, Tops Havant were the 1st nursery in the UK to be awarded the Surfers Against Sewers title of Plastic Free Schools.
Parents with their children placed with Tops will experience exactly what makes Tops Day Nurseries different and be offered flexible booking where they can book to the nearest 15 minutes.
Tops Day Nurseries has recently introduced a number of extracurricular activities for the children including: Tops Cooking School, Tops Forest School, meditation, yoga, Rugby Rangers, Boogie Mites, tooth brushing and much more.
During a child’s day at nursery, staff will record important information to share with families, such as sleep times/nappy changes and information about milk/food intake. This information is added to a daily report which is submitted onto EYLOG.
Tops Day Nurseries has introduced a no-added sugar menu to all nurseries, ensuring children start their time at nursery with a nutritional, healthy diet.
Parents and carers are welcome to call the nursery to talk to a member of staff about their child and day at nursery.
The nursery offers up to 30 hours funding which is available for two, three- and four-year-olds.

Overall Experience
January was my son's first month and it didn't take him long to settle in at all. We have noticed in the short time he has been going how well he listens to others. I cannot fault what they do at the nursery and the staff all seem friendly and approachable.

Our daughter started at Tops Day Nursery - Havant in September 2016. She was very shy at first and would get quite upset when we left her. It was such a comfort knowing that all of the staff there were so friendly and patient with her and before long she was running in beaming with joy to see all of her friends and her teachers!! I cannot praise them enough! The food range they supply is brilliant and it's encouraged her to want to try new things! She loves helping me tidy at home now and I can see her using so many new skills she has developed since joining! The app that parents are able to use to watch their children's development is outstanding and I have never known of any other nursery to have such technology it's great!!

I'm very happy with the standard of what you offer and the approach to children. I just would like you to read more to the children and spend time on basic science, for example, the first digits or letters. I am a foreigner and I know that the children of such families may have a harder start in life so I enrolled my daughter in your kindergarten when she was one year old. I think it was one of the best decisions of my life because it really helped her to socialise with English children.
Now she is three and a half years old and she can speak English and Polish.

Extremely friendly place. My son loves it here. I'd definitely recommend to friends and family. They are very welcoming and I always get observations on my son, which is always nice to see that he's getting on so well.

Overall Experience
Tops Nursery has been very kind to my grandchild and my family. When I have been ill the staff have been kind, helpfull and you can call them and speak about the children, they are happy there and have fun at all times.
