Toad Hall Day Nursery and Preschool in Rayleigh is Outstanding in all areas, as rated by Ofsted (March 2020). This purpose-built nursery is set within the scenic grounds of Wyburn Primary School and offers high-quality childcare for children aged 0–5.

The nursery features spacious playrooms, a calming sensory room, and a large woodland-style garden. Inspired by the Hygge and Curiosity Approaches, the curriculum focuses on child wellbeing, creativity and discovery, supported by educational programmes such as Make and Bake, Sow and Grow, and Move and Groove. Children also enjoy Boogie Mites, therapy dog visits, and regular community outings.

Nutritious meals are cooked daily by the on-site chef. Strong parent partnerships are supported through regular events and communication via the nursery app, creating a warm, engaging setting where every child can thrive.

All 3 of our children have attended Toad Hall Day Nursery and we have loved everything they have provided for them over the years, it is a fantastic nursery that they have all thoroughly enjoyed attending. From the staff, the rooms, the outside play areas to the range of activities there really is no
better nursery.

I applied to this nursery for my daughter after reading a great Offsted report, and it didn’t disappoint. My daughter loved Toad Hall, the staff are all great, and we’re brilliant at helping my daughter settle in; the outside facilities are great, and the nursery is very organised and responsive. I
will definitely be sending my youngest here when she is ready. Thank you, Toad Hall!

2 of my children have attended this nursery and both have done brilliantly. It’s a great setting, with a really good reputation. The children are the heart of everything they do. They build positive relationships with both the children and the parents/families.

Fantastic nursery. Purpose built, big, light, rooms. Amazing outdoor spaces. Great ethos around child care and early years education. Most importantly though, the best staff. They are passionate, caring, hard-working and fantastic with the children.
