Busy Bees Colchester Stanway has been purpose-built to achieve quality childcare standards, inviting parents with children from six weeks old until the transition into junior school. Well-resourced facilities are enhanced by the benefits of a large outdoor play area, while parents enjoy a private car park for convenient drop-offs and collections.

Throughout the nursery, each age group benefits from dedicated spaces, both indoors and outside, making it possible for each child to develop at a pace they are comfortable with alongside those at a similar stage. The nursery also boasts a separate dining area, where all children can enjoy a variety of meals and snacks prepared by the on-site chef.

The team at Busy Bees work hard to ensure parents are involved with their child's time at the nursery. The Parent Room and the ‘ParentZone’ app makes it possible for you to communicate with the nursery team, follow your child's development and discuss any concerns whilst also making sure you never miss out on any key milestones.

Busy Bees at Colchester Stanway has provided us with high quality childcare over several years. Staff are welcoming, supportive, skilled in their roles and always professional. As parents, this gives us confidence that we have left our children in the best possible place and they have always looked
forward to returning each week. The nursery itself is well equipped, the food menus are varied and each day attended is full of activity. We have compared other day nurseries over time and are satisfied that Busy Bees at Colchester Stanway remains the stand out choice. Thank you to all the staff, especially during such a difficult twelve months with the challenges this has presented for you on top of your day to day roles.

My daughters keyworker and room leader are amazing. They are helping me with my daughters speech. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds. She is always happy and excited to see her room teachers.

My son has been coming to this nursery since he was 9 months old (he is now 2.5). The staff in his room are professional, friendly and genuinely care about my son and his progress. He has a wonderful relationship with most of the staff and is making new friends all of the time. His key worker is fantastic.
She regularly undertakes assessments/observations and will always discuss his good and not so good behaviour with my husband when our son gets collected. Overall a very positive experience.

My son loves his days at the nursery. He enjoys all the activities and the staff are all fantastic. I always feel 100% confident dropping him off as I know he will be so well looked after. They all know him well, even those who do not work in his room. You are always greeted with a friendly 'hello'
and I really like how they have started to put an activity in the foyer each week. My son loves this and it gives me ideas for home. Thank you!

My son has recently moved into Foundation class and the transition was made so easy for him. All staff supported him into this new room and recognised when to slow down the settling in days when it became a bit much for him. The staff all genuinely care for my son, encourage him to grow and give him

Busy Bees have always been a fantastic nursery. My nearly 8 years old started here and it's because of the staff that I decided to put my 3-year-old and 1 year old in too. I'm always kept updated with what my boys have done but the staff always to that extra mile making them feel safe, happy and secure
and therefore giving me peace of mind.
With the fantastic key worker I know I can go to her with any concerns and value the rapport we have.
It's comforting to know my boys love going to nursery especially to see their key workers. My other childs key worker is fab too. I can't recommend this nursery enough, they will always accomodate your needs and put you at ease. Thank you all Busy Bees Stanway/

Excellent nursery all round, the care is amazing, my child is so settled and happy here. The staff at Busy Bees are so friendly, caring and have made me feel so comfortable and welcoming leaving my baby each day, knowing she is getting the best care provided with lots of fantastic activities each day.

Both my sons have attended this nursery and I can not speak highly enough of the staff that have taken care of them. Everyone knows the children really well activities are personalised and recorded for parents to see.
The revamp of the nursery means my son now has a beautiful pre-school environment
n which to learn and prepare for primary transition. The staff, activities, meals and communication are all superb. Thanks, Busy Bees!

I've had a very positive, pleasing experience of using this nursery. My eldest son has been at the nursery, full and part-time since he was 12 months old. He has always enjoyed it and loves the staff members. The activities are varied and his social and educational skills have improved very quickly.
I have no worries about the benefit he is getting from attending and my second son will be starting in October.

I feel like my children have settled into Busy Bees really well. All the staff are amazing and have not only made it easy for me as a parent but easier for three of my children as well. I'm kept up to date on their day to day life at nursery and all three of their key people are amazing. Whenever they
are sad they get cuddles and are also amazing with meeting my little boys dietary needs.

We have had my child here since she was 14 months. She is now 3 and we owe lots to the staff of Busy Bees and the activities they have provided our child to grow and develop. She comes home tired but excited and over short periods of time we can see how she develops. Highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been attending this nursery, full time since January 2016. She has gone through three rooms and now into her forth. She has had a set key person each time and has always been cared for to the highest standard. Communication to me, from staff, has been excellent. All requests I've had
with food and sleep patterns (even the most difficult ones) have been accommodated.

Busy Bees has provided an outstanding environment for my children to flourish.
My eldest son had an amazing start to his childhood thanks to the staff at Busy Bees Stanway in 2005. From 2013 onwards my other son also experienced the nurturing and supportive environment up until 2016.
My younger daughter
has enjoyed every day at Busy Bees since 2015.
This nursery has high standards and provides brilliant care for our family.

Job Title: Centre Director

Hello, I am Gina Kettle the Centre Director of Busy Bees in Colchester Stanway.


I qualified with an NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing in 1996, since then I have continually worked in day nurseries with all ages of children from 0-8 years. I obtained my Foundation Degree in Early Years in 2014. I am passionate about working with children and enjoy creating positive and safe environments where the children and staff can flourish.
