My daughter attends Acorn Day Nursery (Kents Hill). The staff are so kind and caring. They are as excited as me when she learns new things. My daughter is enjoying her time in the nursery, she gets to explore and learn through great activities. The app is amazing I get to see how she is doing at the nursery.
The people at Acorn Kents Hill are incredible. So accommodating to specific needs, helpful, empathetic and most of all, our child loves it! She's learning loads and is always so happy to be there. A massive thanks to everyone at Acorn Kents Hill!
This nursery has a very good manager. Good kitchen. Lots of activities and kids learn new things every day. It's a happy place for the kids. But the most important thing is my child goes there with a big smile.
My daughter started at Acorn just over a month ago and we couldn't be happier with everything. She has warmed to the staff straight away and is already learning so much from her days there. We are expecting our second child early next year and are desperate to get them in at Acorn too, the nursery facilities and staff are fantastic.
Acorn Kents Hill has been amazing to my 2 little ones and also to me. They always promptly respond to my doubts and enquiries. They serve good meals and have lovelies practices like going to a care home to bring some happiness to the residents, forest school, library, and playground. My children love them, so this means everything to me.
My child loves going to nursery and the staff always work so hard to grow his interests and curiosities! He has come on leaps and bounds since attending Acorns and has such wonderful relationships with all the staff there. Most importantly, he is well-fed! Delicious food prepared by the chef are worth their weight in gold!
I have two children in this nursery and I am very happy with it. The nursery has the best standards in childcare services and the development of my kids is well monitored. The staff are always proposing activities and detailed assessments of children.
I was lucky enough to have my older two children at Acorn just before lockdown, now my third is there and I am happy to say that I am as thrilled with the care and opportunities they offer now as I was then. Being an early years teacher I am a firm believer in children learning outdoors as much as possible and Acorn certainly embrace this! I love what a huge emphasis they place on outdoor learning and all the carefully planned activities they offer children. My daughter settled immediately, she didn't even turn back to say goodbye! The staff know her well and despite there being closer nurseries to where I work I always knew I only wanted her at Acorn nursery. I am so pleased with my decision and that she gets to experience the amazing setting her brother and sister did.
Excellent nursery, my daughter loves her time there. All the staff seem to take a keen interest in her - we have never had any problems whatsoever and would thoroughly recommend it to any other parents.
Our son attended this nursery and everything was going well until it was identified that he was a bit behind the other children. We got told he could be assessed to get some extra funding which we agreed to. Once he was assessed he was awarded the minimum of 10 hours a week for some 1-to-1 help even though he attended for more than that. On the day this was agreed my husband went to pick up our son and was told he would not be allowed to attend the nursery in the holidays now, which is the first this was ever said to us. This was a huge shock to us and put us in a difficult position as our son was too young for any sort of holiday clubs as he just turned 2. This is meant to be an all-year-round nursery which is it unless your child has additional needs. Our son is adopted and the chances of him having additional needs were always higher. He now goes to a more inclusive nursery that he can attend all year round and is more supportive of his needs. I would not recommend this nursery.
I’m very sorry that you are disappointed in our inability to provide all-year-round additional 1:1 support for your son. We would have much preferred to provide all-year-round support, but as we explained, were only able to recruit someone to provide the 1:1 hours on a term-time only basis, and, as...
and I've seen him come on so much. The staff are lovely and supportive of his learning and development, the amount of words he has picked up there and the improvement in his social skills is great. We regularly get updates on what he has been doing with his day, from what he eats and when he washes his hands to pics of him playing. I have experiences of other nurseries in Milton Keynes and I cannot fault it so far, staff are brilliant. They also do little events for things like mothers day and fathers day which is lovely. Would definitely recommend!
My child loves attending, such a great setting where they have so much fun. The team are friendly, caring, and have such great bonds with all the children. I highly recommend this nursery to everyone I know.
The best nursery. Their ethos, staff, and settings are just excellent. If they had a school, I would sign my son up! Truly you very rarely hear a child cry, and they spend most of the day outside! They can go outside whenever they want. The chef makes the most lovely meals! 5 stars from me! Thank you Acorns.
I highly recommend this amazing nursery, their staff are all professional with a heart. My little girl is genuinely sad during half term as she missed her school and their lovely teachers. She even wants to go to nursery even during the weekend. That’s given me full assurance that she is happy and feels at home in her nursery. Their Manager is very friendly and so are all her staff. Thank you so much for making my little girl’s childhood more fun and memorable. Food is amazing too according to my little girl.
I needed an outstanding nursery to care for my 4-month-old to return to work with peace of mind. It is a blessing we have found Acorn at Kents Hill! My little boy and his sister have been there for 4 months now and are growing happy. My daughter has a well-developed language in her mother tong and I was apprehensive she would be sad not being able to communicate in English. She's settled in no time in the friendly and caring environment and is now in English as well! She also loves the food made by the chef who "cooks carrots better" than I! My son starts and ends his day with big smiles for his key person and the staff in his room. I know he loves them and is happy there. When he was due to start they have bought extra materials to help his development. And the app is so helpful to have all the details of the kids' day as well as pictures and videos of their activities. Thank you so much Acorn at Kents Hill, you are truly amazing!
We have had the most wonderful journey. From the moment we had a tour we knew it was the right fit for us as a family with the children being at the heart of everything to create an amazing Early Years environment. The whole team drives communication with parents without taking time away from the children; this started with an initial home visit to then having pinpointed feedback at the end of each session. We have unprecedented face-to-face communication informing us on things such as what activities the children have been involved in through their interests. The local environment is used to enhance the children’s exploration too and we always look forward to seeing their adventures. There is no doubt in our mind that we made the right choice of setting for our children and we look forward to the rest of their time spent with such caring and wonderful staff in such an enriching environment. Knowing our children are so happy and safe makes the working day that little bit easier.
Mummies, I can't recommend enough this nursery. They are absolutely amazing and helpful. All the teachers are lovely and give me details of my daughter activities throughout the day. My daughter loves her sessions here and I never had a problem leaving her in Acorn Day Nursery (Kents Hill). She always goes with happiness and comes back full of stories.
Acorn Day Nursery (Kents Hill) is an outstanding nursery, they have so much attention to details, show kindness and have a great methodology. I strongly recommend Acorn Day Nursery (Kents Hill) and my second daughter will be studying there.
Acorn Day Nursery (Kents Hill) is a warm and reliable place for children. It offers children a safe and interesting environment to explore through different activities. My little girl really enjoyed the planting and gardening recently. I know that she is very happy during the nursery daytime. I have recommended Acorn Day Nursery (Kents Hill) to many of my friends.
My son started at Acorn Day Nursery about 6 months ago and since then we have seen a huge improvement in his development and behaviour. The staff are all very lovely and helpful. He requires additional support than his peers and honestly, I can’t even start to express how grateful I am that he is in a place where he is accepted and his needs are well met. I will definitely recommend this nursery a thousand times over.
