The nursery in Stokenchurch opened in December 2004 and is situated locally in Stokenchurch near High Wycombe. Stokenchurch has a lovely village environment and is close to good commuter links. The nursery accommodates the differing needs of children from 6 weeks to 5 years.

The nursery has specifically designed rooms to encourage child development and meet the needs of the individual age groups, as well as providing a large outdoor play area for the children to explore and learn. Children are cared for within the nursery by friendly and dedicated staff.

The nursery has a large outdoor area and a separate baby garden designed to inspire a child's imagination. Pirate boats, climbing apparatus, trikes and ride on toys, along with a good selection of specialist outdoor play equipment, all incorporating a variety of materials and safety surfacing, allowing children to play in a challenging, safe and stimulating environment.

A minibeast and digging area, along with purpose-built raised beds, allow opportunities for children to grow their own fresh vegetables and herbs evoking a natural curiosity in the world around them. A variety of trees and plants surround the garden, allowing children to observe the changing of seasons.

The nursery serves the village by encouraging social interaction with others in the community, with regular visits to the library and maintains strong links with the village school.

The nursery is a bright and modern building providing a warm welcoming atmosphere and is open from 7.30am - 6.15pm Monday-Friday. The building has state of the art CCTV system covering all rooms and the outdoor area, together with a secure door entry system.

We have been using the nursery and pre-school for over 3 years and have always been happy. The staff create good responsible relationships with the children, I would highly recommend the nursery/pre school to my friends and family. They provide healthy food and snacks and the garden is a great play
area.

My daughter has had a great time at the pre school. She attended term time only but was very welcome to special sessions outside of her usual hours, like sports day and the such. She settled in well and has made great bonds with the "teachers" throughout the whole nursery. They have supported her through
bereavement with sensitivity using the bathroom. They are all such a friendly group and she's really had lots of fun. Thank you!

My child is really happy at nursery, the staff helped him settle in and were patient, caring and kind. They support my child with his food intolerance and buy special food for his needs. The staff communicate well with us as parents, offer suggestions and advice when needed. My child has started to
make friends with the other children at the nursery and is always happy to attend. I would highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

I have 2 children in Positive Steps, one in the baby room and one in the preschool room. Both rooms are very welcoming and the team all make an effort to know and understand my children - even caters outside of these rooms. My eldest goes to school soon and he will be very sad to leave.

My son has been at this nursery 3 days a week since he was 9 months old. He's grown up with the ladies here and they have helped him achieve milestones such as walking, feeding himself, counting and potty training.

He has made lots of friends and is very fond of the ladies who work here.

The

only thing I would comment on is the majority of the staff are young and there is quite a high turnover as they progress and move to another nursery.

But overall I am happy with the care he has been receiving.

Positive Steps is a wonderful nursery. My little boy is always happy to spend his days with the fantastic nursery staff. I feel confident that he is not only well looked after, but feels loved and included. It really is a great place. Facilities are great and my son is learning new things all the time.
His social skills are also developing well.

The educational programme is outstanding. The staff are so helpful and dedicated. My son loves going into pre-school and is always happy and full of stories of her day!
I highly recommend the nursery and will send my next child there.

My 21 month old daughter has attended Positive Steps nursery in Stokenchurch twice a week since November 2015. After a few teary goodbyes, which were handled expertly by the staff, she has settled in really well, has formed a close bond with her keyworker and the other staff whom she comes into contact
with. She seems to have a lovely time, often brings home her "art" projects and at Christmas I received a LOVELY calendar with her picture and picture she had painted.

Staff are always friendly, polite and provide me with feedback about her day. She is always happy when I pick her up and I look forward to her continuing to be cared for there. I would have no qualms about recommending this nursery to other parents and carers.

Keep up the good work!

The staff are always cheerful and caring and take a personal interest in each child and come across caring and interested. My children even ask to go there on days they don't usually go. Both of my children love attending.

My son has attended Positive Steps Nursery for the last 3 years. He has been in each of the rooms and has loved his time there. The staff are very kind and friendly and always offer cuddles. I have been very impressed with their phonics and learning programmes and especially the preparation for school
programme. I know that he will miss his friends and the staff from the nursery but he has grown up into a very confident 4 year old and is now ready to start big school. A lot of this confidence and awareness of the needs of others has been through the love and care that the staff have shared with him and the other children. Thank you!
