Little Garden The Bourne End Day Nursery & Pre-School

This was more to us than childcare my daughter my daughter was taught manners and kindness.

My eldest is going to school later this year and having seen all the guidance the school have given about what the children need to be able to do I am so grateful to the nursery for preparing him and making sure his transition will be smooth. My experience has always been positive but has been further improved by the current manager who has made a great impact on the nursery, injecting a new energy and ensuring a child-first focus.

From the moment we decided to move our daughter from another nursery to Little Garden, we have been continually impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the dedication of the staff. The nursery staff are dedicated, nurturing, and highly skilled, providing a stimulating environment where children can thrive. We particularly love the nursery's emphasis on hands-on activities, outdoor play, and interactive learning as it ensures our little person is engaged and excited to come in each day! Safeguarding, welfare, and hygiene standards are impeccable and on our own experience of another setting and viewing all alternate settings in the local area - far exceed the competition! This really does give us total peace of mind that our child is in a secure and healthy environment. The staff communicate effectively with parents via an app and verbally keeping us informed about our child's daily activities and developmental milestones - which is very much valued and appreciated! Our child has attended the nursery for more than 18 months and he's loved it there. The staff have always been so loving and caring, they take such good care of the children and you can tell everyone puts their heart and soul into the job. It almost feels like leaving the little one with family. Thank you!

We love this nursery and cannot thank them enough for how well they have cared for our daughter. Unfortunately, she suffers from a health condition that requires extra monitoring/a care plan. The staff and management have been amazing in looking after her and making us, as nervous parents feel reassured. She loves going to nursery and she adores the staff. If you want to send your child to a place where the staff care for them as if they are their own children, then this is the one!

The Bourne End Day Nursery is a happy place where my child has enjoyed his time over the past 3 years. My child started at the nursery when he was 9 months old and is leaving for school soon. He has been happy at all the stages and loved his teachers in each room. I feel the nursery has a lovely family friendly feeling. The head of the nursery is attentive, kind and proactive. The staff are all down to earth, approachable and kind. My child’s key carer is imaginative and makes every day fun and enjoyable. I feel the nursery is equipping my child for his next chapter (school) while still letting my child be a child. They balance learning with fun and invest in the development of my child. I have been very happy with the nursery and would highly recommend Little Garden.

English is not her first language but she has been learning it fully there.

My child has been at this nursery for nearly one year, the staff are friendly yet professional and constantly working so hard. I like that the nursery offers a lot of opportunities for the parents to join in. I always feel I have open communication with the staff they are always happy to help and very reassuring.

This is an outstanding nursery that is very well run. The team strike the perfect balance of being very caring but also highly professional, and the communication with parents is excellent.

Our little boy moved here aged two and a half from another nursery (where we hadn't had the best experience) in July of this year. The manager and the team did an amazing job of settling him in and accommodating his every need.

Since joining, his confidence and communication skills have grown exponentially and he is genuinely excited to go in every morning. We get photos of his activities on the app almost daily and we are invited in regularly for stay and plays.

It might be slightly more expensive than some nurseries, but then the quality shows in the amazing staff and the responsive way in which the nursery is run.

Our daughter has been at the nursery from baby nest all the way through to pre-school. She has been well looked after during all that time and we have never had any issues. The staff have been excellent and we are very pleased with the overall experience that she has had.

Our son has settled in well at nursery. We are happy with the information provided on his day and the level of detail shared. We are happy that the quality of food seems to be good and the staff care for the children’s well being and meet all their needs.

My son (1year) started nursery a month and a half ago. Management and ‘baby room’ staff have been absolutely amazing. We were given support and flexibility to lead our son’s settling in. We were able to focus on what worked for our family. As a result, we achieved an easy transition to the nursery. Phones and emails are being answered all the time. (One of my red flags when picking a nursery). This shows how attentive the staff are. The environment is clean, organised and content. I love that they have appropriate toys allowing for good motor development and cognitive stimulation. There is a separate sleeping area which in my opinion, is absolutely essential (regardless of where the child chooses to sleep). The Garden is beautiful, safe and fun. You can always smell fresh food in the nursery. I can tell he loves the food there. I could not compliment the staff enough. They are attentive and sensitive to child and parent. Review comes from a mum who happens to be a specialist psychologist.

This is a fantastic local nursery and preschool. We have had a 4-year-old attending preschool since January 2020 and he loves every minute of it. The staff are very friendly and have a really great approach to children of all ages.

Very friendly setting. Really good settling in process for the twins. Happy and caring staff members. Love that they have had duckling eggs in - great for the kids to watch. Good food and a mix of play activities for kids. Happy children = happy parents!

My daughter goes there and she absolutely loves it. It’s helped her gain so much confidence especially after not being able to socialise as normal during lockdown. She’s always so happy when she comes out and it’s been lovely seeing her so happy. The staff are incredible and so kind. We love it here!

Our son recently moved to this nursery and he has settled in very well - he comes home happy and stimulated each day and appears very engaged with the staff, children and activities. He particularly enjoys the fabulous outdoor space! We have been impressed with the caring and professional attitude of the staff and their knowledge of childcare, and consider this nursery an excellent setting to nurture his development.

Our daughter joined the nursery when she was just over a year old. The care and support from the team in Baby Nest has been incredible. The staff are very kind and really take the time to talk to you at drop off and pick off. They seem to know each individual child’s needs and always work with you in ensuring each child is hitting their developmental milestones. Our daughter loves going into nursery each morning and often talks about the staff members at home. She has just moved up to Little Explorers where I am sure she will have just as good an experience. Thank you for always caring for her so well!

My son joined the nursery when he turned 2 and he settled in really easily. He adores the staff and talks about them often at home. I have watched him grow in confidence and I regularly notice growth in him at home, from things that he has learnt whilst at nursery. He has more confidence to make friends, sing and dance than when he first joined. I’m always provided with so much information about his progress and I love being given pieces of art that he has worked on. The staff are all lovely and I would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents
