Our son has now been at Busy Bees for 3 years & is about to leave to go to school & we have been delighted with the care he has received and impressed at how ready he is to take this next step. What struck me most about Busy Bees is the care and love that emanates from everyone that works there, they
don't just look after your children they genuinely care & want the best for them. There is an excellent manager & takes the time to know every child and every parent and you can tell is very active in all the children's care & I have nothing but glowing things to say about the many wonderful ladies who have cared for our boy. As a mother returning to work all you can ask is that the person who cares for your child will educate them, ensure they are growing up knowing right and wrong, feed them tasty nutritious food, provide a fun environment and ultimately care for them. Busy Bees does this and more and we are grateful to have found them.

From the beginning, it was a very warm welcome to Busy Bees. I was given a tour by the manager of the nursery room, the children looked happy, the staff were friendly, polite and the place was very clean.
Busy Bees initially wasn't top of my list (they are right in the centre of High Wycombe in
what looks an ugly building from the road), drive in and they face the park, have a garden and are very convenient to the station.
My son has now been at the nursery for 6 months and we couldn't be happier. The place is well managed, staff seem happy and provide great care. When I collect him, I am told all about his day, what he has eaten, sleep times, nappies and activities. A really great nursery!

A first time mum and teacher by profession, you can imagine the anxiety of choosing the right nursery for my son. Research and checks done, we payed a visit to Busy Bees the Rye. To our great joy and surprise, our one year old chose the nursery! He was so comfortable, he didn’t notice our absence as
his dad and I continued viewing the nursery, while he stayed playing. The indoor and outdoor space is lovely and well equipped. Brilliant for learning and play. The staff are very competent and supportive, they give great care to each child and are attentive.

Once on dropping off my son, I witnessed the nursery during a fire drill which left me so overwhelmed with respect and appreciation towards this establishment. Our son has learned so much since joining Busy Bees. One thing he’s always commended on when people meet him for the first time is his confidence and that he interacts well with other children and adults alike.
We know our son is happy, safe and thriving at Busy Bees the Rye.

My daughter has attended Busy Bees since she turned 1. She's now nearly 3 and has grown tremendously in confidence thanks to the nursery. This is a nursery you can trust to fully care for your child, and they seem to me to strike the right balance in terms of nurturing and yet also encouraging your
child to develop and explore new things (the food is marvellous and always as good as you would make at home). Several members of staff are so utterly dedicated that the love really shines right out of them. I have no doubts that she'll carry on developing extremely well - both emotionally and intellectually thanks to Busy Bees. It really is such a relief to have it.

My daughter has attended Busy Bees at The Rye since she was 10 months old and is now turning 4. The care she has received in that time has been outstanding.

The staff are kind, caring and nurturing, I am happy to leave my daughter each day, confident that she will be stimulated and very well looked

after.

The food provided is nutritious and the children are encouraged to try new things.

The garden facility is great and allows easy access to fresh air every day.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Busy Bees.

My child has developed extremely well at the nursery and all the staff are brilliant.
Very warm and welcoming whenever I pick up.
Bright and airy with very big rooms which the little ones love and can all play in.
The garden is also fabulous so very lucky we found this nursery.

My son has been going full time since he was 11 months old and he has just entered preschool having turned 3 at the beginning of summer. The manager and her team have been instrumental in his development and I'm pleased to say he is a happy, bright and confident child, thanks in no small part to their
work. He loves going and has many friends. He eats incredibly well and is very well cared for. The team there - both management and care giving - have responded quickly and capably to his evolving needs. They have instilled a sense of self and encouraged my son's imagination and curiosity. In short, they are a team I trust to help me raise my son.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 0 out of 5 from 0 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 1.000 for Busy Bees The Rye is calculated as follows: ( (12 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 1
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 0 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees The Rye is based on 0 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) =
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 80 number of registered child places is 16. 0 Positive Reviews ÷ 16 = 0
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Centre Director

Hi, my name is Claire Griffin. I've worked in the childcare field for 20 years and have worked as a nursery Manager for 12 years.

I attended college when I left school and gained my level 3 Diploma in childcare and development. Since then I've continued to develop my knowledge with a range of training such as level 3 nominated safeguarding lead, Paediatric first aid and I also completed my level 3 NVQ in management.

Throughout my childcare career, I've loved working with all ages children and gaining a range of experience from working as a nursery nurse, room senior and deputy manager.

I've recently moved to High Wycombe with my husband and 2 daughters and had to make the difficult decision to leave my last nursery due to the travel. However, I'm over the moon and so excited to start my new role at Busy Bees and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.
