Our daughter has been Busy Bees The Rye (Wycombe) for more than six months and we have had a really good experience. We have loved getting to know the amazing team in the Baby room and all the team. Our daughter has bonded really well with them as well as the other children. The team work so hard to
deliver a brilliant childcare service, and we find it a great fit for our family. From the management side, Claire has been super supportive and has gone above and beyond for us. I would recommend this branch of Busy Bees very highly. Thanks to all the team for everything you do!!

Busy Bees has been a great experience for both my daughter and myself. Not only have the team in her room been overwhelmingly helpful with getting her into a routine, I can tell how much she enjoys being in the room with them and the other children. There is a great range of toys and activities for
her that have really helped her develop, and assisted with major milestones. The nursery have also been incredibly adaptable and understanding for myself when I had a temporary change of financial circumstances, and went out of their way to be helpful.

We've been delighted with Busy Bees as our daughter's nursery. We're very grateful that she seems to love it which is a testament to the staff who are all very friendly and professional. We've really appreciated the flexibility when we've needed it at times. We're also very impressed with the healthy
menu options - I wouldn't mind some of the meals myself!

We have had both of our children at The Busy Bees nursery and have always felt looked after, communicated with and at ease that they were both in good hands. Despite the recent government changes, the staff here work very hard and do their best to support the needs of our child.

We enrolled our son at Busy Bees Nursery last September, and it has been an incredible experience. From day one, the staff welcomed him warmly, creating a nurturing environment that makes him feel safe and happy.

The educators are exceptional-knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely caring. They

take the time to understand each child's unique needs, fostering confidence and curiosity in our son. The activities are engaging and thoughtfully planned, blending learning with play, which keeps him excited to attend every day.

As a parent, it's comforting to know my child is in such capable hands. Busy Bees feels like a second home, and I highly recommend it to any parent seeking a nurturing environment for their little ones.

Thank you, Busy Bees, for all you do!

Our daughter is very happy attending the nursery, which gives us great peace of mind as parents. The teachers organise a wide variety of engaging and educational activities that she truly enjoys, helping her to learn, develop, and socialise in a positive way.
We are very grateful for the excellent work
the team does every day and would highly recommend this nursery to other families.

I do wish your employee - Room Manager at Busy Bees at the Rye, High Wycombe, the same what he did to me - deterioration in mental health.
As per his Linked In account he has interpersonal skills.
I do feel sorry for him. Since late August to today - my child's last day at the Busy Bees - worst
start in life - he was never interested in the customers nor children, when he stopped being my child's keyperson he was treating me like air - I stand in the corridor and he passes me - I am a woman, I am older than him, so it shall be natural for him to say hello to me first. I noticed that he doesn't say hello first by mistake - this is not a room manager's interpersonal skill - let alone a human behaviour.
Once my child run towards me and I fell, alongside my child and another kid - he was standing next to us - looking at us 3 lying on the floor.
Whenever I was asking him how was my child today: always exact same answer: absolutely fine. I had to ask him to elaborate.

My son has been at Busy Bees The Rye (High Wycombe) since he was thirteen months. He settled in straight away, because the staff were amazing in helping him be comfortable. Now he is in preschool class and he loves it. Lots of outdoor activities and play. Lots of indoor activities like painting, colouring,
cutting and a lot more. He mostly enjoys being a firefighter and the staff make sure there are lots of 'firefighting' activities for him to do.

My son has attended Busy Bees at the Rye, High Wycombe since 2020 and my daughter joined at the start of 2023. They both love their time at nursery and are happy to be dropped off to friendly, caring staff and to play with their friends. They both love the food and eat well there, no doubt encouraged
by eating with their peers communally.
Nursery staff are communicative, keep me regularly updated and always happy to answer questions. I am really happy and so are my kids!

All the staff are really friendly and kind. They always give an update on how my daughter is daily. The activities they do are amazing and more recently with Easter and the Coronation, it's all being really exciting.
My daughter is always happy to go to school and has come along leaps and bounds with
her speech, numbers and letters as well as imaginative play since being there.
A total credit to the team.

The staff are very friendly and my daughter has bonded with all the staff, so beautifully. I love hearing about all the different activities she’s done throughout the week.
As a parent, the staff have also been great. No question is stupid and is always answered in the most helpful manner.

We love Busy Bees! After looking into and visiting too many nurseries, my husband and I walked into this nursery and we knew it was the nursery we wanted to send our little boy. You just get this good and positive energy as soon as you walk in and to top it off, the staff are extremely friendly and
professional too! They take such great care of my little boy. It makes me happy to send him off every morning and know he'll be taken care of. I love this place and so does my child. I deeply appreciate one of the senior room managers and three other members of staff, in particular, for being nice and caring. The centre director and assistant centre director have always been so helpful and always very caring towards the children and the parents! They have always helped me with all my queries and made it so easy and stress-free since we joined Busy Bees. Definitely made the right choice by choosing this place! My little baby is happy and that makes me a happy parent. Thank you Busy Bees, The Rye! Really appreciate what you guys do!

My son started at Busy Bees at 7months old, he is now in the preschool room.
Busy Bees is a truly fantastic nursery, my son absolutely loves it, and it's easy to see why. As a parent, I couldn't ask for a better group of carers, every carer is friendly, considerate and clearly love their job and the
children they look after.
Great facilities, a high level of learning and development and in-depth feedback.
Highly recommended from both a parent and child perspective.

Busy Bees has looked after two of my children over the last few years. The children have been cared for very well, have lots of fun and have formed genuine attachments to the people who work in the nursery. The facilities are fantastic and the outdoor spaces very large. We love looking at the photographs
from our child’s nursery day via ParentZone. The nursery manager is very professional and is also great with the children past and present; often taking time to talk to my older child even though he no longer goes to the nursery. There seems to be a high level of stability in the staff that work there which is very reassuring and no doubt helps the children settle in and feel secure. The nursery is very conveniently located off a main road which is useful for dropping your children off on the way to work and has good parking which makes drop off stress-free. The nursery itself is situated next to Rye park which makes for a lovely setting for the children.

We have had two children attend and have been very happy with the nursery. We were a little worried when moving to the area that Busy Bees would have a more corporate feel compared with the nursery our older child started at. It couldn’t have been more different. The centre manager and staff give the
place a welcoming identity. Many of the same staff have looked after both of our children, which is a telling sign of the stability of service. There are up to five rooms on-site - one specifically for the babies. This was very reassuring when our youngest started at less than 12 months old. The outdoor facilities are great for the older children.

We've been fortunate to have both of our children go through Busy Bees at The Rye at separate times and have been absolutely delighted with the care they have both received. Learning is fun for them at Busy Bees and the excitement they've both shown in the morning typifies their attitudes of love towards
the activities they do. The growth I've seen in both of our children through their time at Busy Bees has been absolutely first class and I couldn't have prayed for a better pre-school experience for them. The manager and the team have led by example and I wish Busy Bees all the absolute best for the future. To potential parents of Busy Bees, book your young people in now, you will not be disappointed.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.593)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.593) out of 10 for Busy Bees The Rye is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.443 for Busy Bees The Rye is calculated as follows: ( (83 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) + (12 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 106 Ratings = 4.443
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.15 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees The Rye is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.65
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 80 number of registered child places is 16. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 16 = 0.5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Centre Director

Hi, my name is Claire Griffin. I've worked in the childcare field for 20 years and have worked as a nursery Manager for 12 years.

I attended college when I left school and gained my level 3 Diploma in childcare and development. Since then I've continued to develop my knowledge with a range of training such as level 3 nominated safeguarding lead, Paediatric first aid and I also completed my level 3 NVQ in management.

Throughout my childcare career, I've loved working with all ages children and gaining a range of experience from working as a nursery nurse, room senior and deputy manager.

I've recently moved to High Wycombe with my husband and 2 daughters and had to make the difficult decision to leave my last nursery due to the travel. However, I'm over the moon and so excited to start my new role at Busy Bees and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.
