Partou Woodlands Halton Day Nursery & Pre-school

I can't express how impressed we are with Woodlands Day Nursery. After the first lockdown, our daughter was very shy and upset going back to nursery, but the staff were very patient and caring to ensure she settled back in. Now when I go to pick her up, I think she would rather stay at nursery! She always looks forward to it and she is always exhausted when she gets home after a day of learning and playing.

My daughter has been going to Woodlands Nursery for around 18 months now and over this time Woodlands staff have helped encourage her to be more independent and confident. Previous to this, my daughter was very shy and needed a lot of encouragement. Going to nursery has become the highlight of her week and she talks fondly about all the staff and her new friends. The staff are all lovely and approachable and I enjoy hearing about her day via Tapestry.

My son has recently started at Woodlands and I am so grateful for all the team. They have been great at settling him into the nursery setting and now he always looks forward to attending. He has come on in leaps and bounds since attending and he is getting more confident each week. There is access to all different activities and my son enjoys the variety. I am thrilled that I chose this nursery.

My son has settled into Woodlands really well. The staff in the toddler room made him and myself feel really welcome from the first day. His development has really come on over the past few months. The daily updates are nice to have. My son is now in the pre-school room. It's a shame that due to the pandemic, we can't see the room but we know he loves it. I don't know the names of the staff in the pre-school room yet. Would it be possible to see their names and photos on the parents' app? Overall, we are really happy with Woodlands.

My son has been at Woodlands nursery for around 2 years. The nursery staff have always been really great at adapting games to suit his interests and finding ways to engage him in activities. He is an extremely picky eater and the nursery assistants and cook have gone out of their way to try and accommodate this and gently encourage him to try foods at nursery. I feel like the staff really understand each child's individual needs and they are a big hit with our son. I'm always impressed by how energetic and cheerful the staff are after a very long day caring for young children (whilst I look knackered by the end of the day with just one child!).

We absolutely love this nursery. Our first came here and started in 2016 (she’s now at school) and our second is currently attending and is in the preschool room. The staff throughout have always been amazing, approachable, friendly and helpful. With recent measures put in place due to COVID, I’m happy the nursery are doing all they can to keep my child safe while trying to give my son a sense of normality as much as they can. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough!

We have been so impressed with Woodlands since our son started in September. The curiosity approach is excellent, food is well-balanced and nutritious and staff are friendly and hard-working. It’s a lovely environment.

Wow! You have made the transition of my little boys time into childcare as smooth as it could possibly be. The settling in sessions were organised quickly and the whole team were very accommodating to us as a family. My little boy has settled in extremely well and always seems to enjoy himself while there. I love the tapestry photos and observations (especially his first few days as it alleviated some of the anxiety I had about leaving him). Thank you to all at Woodlands.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery. The staff are always friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The under 2's room provides a variety of learning experiences and the children always look happy! Thanks for providing my daughter a great start to her learning journey.

I am very pleased with the progress my son is making. All staff are attentive and pass on messages. Managers are helpful, approachable and nothing is too much trouble. The curiosity approach offers something a little different and because of this my sons imagination, problem-solving and respect for his environment have flourished. My son eats well and is willing to try different foods in nursery (I must ask the staff their secret). Above all this, he is happy to come to nursery which in my opinion speaks volumes.

My wife and I are very happy with this nursery. We are confident that they treat our 2 year old son with kindness, patience and great care. The staff resolve problems in a calm and sensible manner, like when our toddler was biting other children. He (our son) has developed into a clever and alert child, no doubt because of the care he receives at nursery.

Our son receives excellent care. He has learning disabilities and the nursery have embraced the advice provided by his therapy support professionals. They have been led by his needs and have never moved him between rooms before he was ready. Best of all he loves the staff and enjoys being there.

Such a relief to find such a safe, caring environment for my 20-month-old. Staff are kind and caring to us and my daughter has settled in so well. The management is excellent and we feel well looked after. Thank you.

My son enjoys nursery every day he goes, he talks about all the things he does in a day. My son learns so much at nursery and Woodlands tailors his learning to his interests. Every day they play with him which supports his learning and development. Regular catch-ups and parents talks keep me updated.

I am happy overall with the care of both of my girls. I feel the nursery has improved since the new manager started as I was very unhappy before that. I would appreciate more feedback regarding projects/topics for the preschool room but this has been happening more recently with the weekly memos and on tapestry.

Staff in this nursery are excellent. They are proactive and attentive to the needs and development of the children.

Our daughter has been at Woodlands for nearly 3 years. I honestly could not recommend this nursery enough. The staff are absolutely amazing, always very approachable and friendly. We will be very sad when it will be time for her to move on.

From the very first moment we visited the nursery I was impressed. The staff always have a smile on their faces and we are always greeted with such positivity and the fact they know everyone is amazing! In terms of communication, it couldn't be any better; there is a weekly email, daily written report card, Tapestry app, daily verbal feedback, as well as emails as and when needed. We love the fact that the nursery uses the curiosity approach, which makes them stand out from other nurseries in the area. The fact that my child has a smile on their face every time we pick them up, gives us peace of mind that they are in the best hands possible.
