My son has been at Woodlands now for 6 months and is always so excited to go to nursery. He settled into the baby room really well, after we were all made to feel so welcome - even with Covid restrictions in place. He has grown so much and developed so many new skills with the help of all the ladies
there. It fills me with pride to see him happy and thriving in the nursery setting. I am so pleased that we chose Woodlands and thank the team for their support.

After viewing several large nurseries we chose Woodlands Day Nursery and couldn't be happier. My child is thriving there and loves to go in each day. The staff are great and I feel happy at drop-offs when my child greets them with smiles and cuddles. The nursery manager is the icing on the cake. She
is so helpful and communicates with us brilliantly. If I have a worry or question she is never too busy. I like that Woodlands is a smaller setting, it feels more personal, a really lovely nursery.

My son has recently transitioned from the baby room to the toddler room, the experience has been so positive. Naturally, we have had some challenges with confidence and settling but the team have been incredibly understanding and patient. He has settled so well and not only loves nursery but also has
learnt so much more with the variety of activities you do with him every day. You find creative ways to tie in with his passions (trains/cars).
I am also really happy with the variety of food offered as he can be fussy and rarely tried new things I prepare.

My son absolutely loves attending nursery here. Since attending he has come on lots, development wise. Every time he attends he does a new activity. There is so much for him to do and learn there. The staff are lovely and kind. Overall really happy with Woodlands Day Nursery.

Our daughter joined Woodlands Day Nursery after having been at a different nursery for a year. The settling-in period was managed really well and after only a week or so she was happily running in in the mornings. The observations are all recorded and shared very easily via the App and feel very well-informed
on day-to-day activities. All the staff are lovely and we’re very happy!

The staff at Woodlands Day Nursery have been consistently friendly, caring and supportive to my children in the 2.5 years they have been there. I am confident in leaving them there knowing they are in good hands and every member of staff knows and cares for every child at the nursery. The activities
they do are fun, imaginative and stimulating. My children come home happy and tired - with lots to talk about every day.

Both my 2 and 3-year-old boys attend this nursery, so I currently have 1 in the toddler room and one in the pre-school room.
They are very different in their characters, the staff have brought the best out in them. They have helped them settle and grow whilst taking them as individuals.
It's a
lovely little nursery, in a nice convenient location with staff who genuinely love what they do.

My daughter has been very happy at Woodlands Day Nursery and her development has been amazing. She has made many friends and gets on well with all the staff. Management and the staff are always happy and flexible to meet your own needs. Communication is great and I feel that I get a real insight into
what’s happening on a daily or weekly basis. I also love the curiosity approach they use for the development of the children - I think it’s really beneficial in those early years.

We love Woodlands Day Nursery. Our child is thriving and absolutely loves going to nursery. Our little one has developed so much and loves playing with other children too which is mostly because of his time at nursery. The members of staff are extremely friendly, bubbly, and caring. We're very happy
to recommend the nursery to friends and family as we've only had very good experiences. We're very happy.

We are so happy with the level of care and support the team has shown to our son. He loves every minute of his time at nursery. We have moved a lot over the past year so we’ve had quite a disruptive start but my son's key worker has been amazingly caring and supportive to help settle him in. He is now
very close to the staff members and talks about them all the time. I know he has a wonderful time every day and loves the fun and varied activities that are planned every day. As a parent, I enjoy the updates on the app, which always cheer me up at work whilst giving me confidence that my son is thriving at nursery. Thank you for all you do and the love you give to my boy.

The staff are amazing and have helped settle my 3-year-old in very well. They have gone the extra step ensuring that under the present circumstances, parents and they are protected as much as possible.
The app is a very useful tool, and a great guide showing the development of your children.

The staff at Woodlands have been exceptional since we started in September. They have excellent communication between home and Nursery, are friendly and forthcoming and clearly love their job. The Nursery is always tidy and clean, spaces are reset frequently for children to explore and the curiosity
approach allows autonomy and inquisitiveness to flourish in the children. My little one loves Nursery and all the girls in his room. We have been delighted with his progress and would highly recommend this as a safe, calm and welcoming place for your little ones.

I am so happy with the service and care provided by the team at Woodlands. I feel a lot of guilt having our son at nursery full time so I want to feel assured that the people looking after him are going to love him in our absence. The team at Woodlands are warm and friendly, and I can feel that they
genuinely care about him. He learns so much while he's there and gets more stimulation and development than we could provide at home.

I can't express how impressed we are with Woodlands Day Nursery. After the first lockdown, our daughter was very shy and upset going back to nursery, but the staff were very patient and caring to ensure she settled back in. Now when I go to pick her up, I think she would rather stay at nursery! She
always looks forward to it and she is always exhausted when she gets home after a day of learning and playing.

My daughter has been going to Woodlands Nursery for around 18 months now and over this time Woodlands staff have helped encourage her to be more independent and confident. Previous to this, my daughter was very shy and needed a lot of encouragement. Going to nursery has become the highlight of her week
and she talks fondly about all the staff and her new friends. The staff are all lovely and approachable and I enjoy hearing about her day via Tapestry.

He has come on in leaps and bounds since attending and he is getting more confident each week. There is access to
all different activities and my son enjoys the variety. I am thrilled that I chose this nursery.

My son has settled into Woodlands really well. The staff in the toddler room made him and myself feel really welcome from the first day. His development has really come on over the past few months. The daily updates are nice to have. My son is now in the pre-school room. It's a shame that due to the
pandemic, we can't see the room but we know he loves it. I don't know the names of the staff in the pre-school room yet. Would it be possible to see their names and photos on the parents' app? Overall, we are really happy with Woodlands.

My son has been at Woodlands nursery for around 2 years. The nursery staff have always been really great at adapting games to suit his interests and finding ways to engage him in activities. He is an extremely picky eater and the nursery assistants and cook have gone out of their way to try and accommodate
this and gently encourage him to try foods at nursery. I feel like the staff really understand each child's individual needs and they are a big hit with our son. I'm always impressed by how energetic and cheerful the staff are after a very long day caring for young children (whilst I look knackered by the end of the day with just one child!).

We absolutely love this nursery. Our first came here and started in 2016 (she’s now at school) and our second is currently attending and is in the preschool room. The staff throughout have always been amazing, approachable, friendly and helpful. With recent measures put in place due to COVID, I’m happy
the nursery are doing all they can to keep my child safe while trying to give my son a sense of normality as much as they can. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough!

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.843)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.843) out of 10 for Partou Woodlands Halton Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.943 for Partou Woodlands Halton Day Nursery & Pre-school is calculated as follows: ( (99 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 105 Ratings = 4.943
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Partou Woodlands Halton Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 44 number of registered child places is 8.8, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
