Stepping Stones Day Nursery

Thank you to everyone at Stepping Stones for all the great work, kindness and care. For first-time parents who are learning a lot and may worry somewhat, it's appreciated. Seeing his progress during this time has given us the greatest assurance that he is in the best hands.

My daughter is at preschool, and she is so happy about it. She learned so many new things and got so many friends. Her social skills have definitely "upgraded" using this nursery. She is always happy and talking all day long about the adventures she got into at this amazing garden they have got. The staff is very attentive, and the management is always helpful. It's an amazing nursery.

My 4-year-old had just "graduated" from Stepping Stones Day Nursery and has been going since he was 10 months old. He has always been happy and excited to go to nursery and is surrounded by lovely children and caring adults. My 2-year-old joined post lockdown, and despite being far more anxious, he was welcomed in and has grown hugely in confidence. Both my boys have gained lots being at Stepping Stones Day Nursery - social skills, age-appropriate milestones and preparation for school. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery - I know my children are happy and well cared for when I hand them over for the day.

I would highly recommend this nursery as I feel like it encourages independence, creativity and kindness. Most importantly to me, I feel my children are genuinely cared for.

We love the nursery and our daughter too. The garden is fantastic. All the staff are very careful. The activities are age-appropriate, and my daughter is learning a lot each day. In September, she's going to preschool, and I'm sure she's ready for that.

A lovely setting with a fantastic garden and excellent staff who genuinely care for the children and go above and beyond to help meet their needs. My son has blossomed since attending Stepping Stones, and I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone wanting high-quality care for their child.

Our son is enjoying nursery very much; he settled in very quickly and now always loves going in! They're always making lots of fun/educational activities and have a massive outdoor area too.

As a first time Mum, with a child born at the beginning of the first lockdown (18 months old), I was extremely anxious sending my son to nursery, but thankfully, I found Stepping Stones. He has settled in very quickly; I get regular updates and photos throughout the day, and the staff are really kind and attentive. The nursery has a fantastic play area outside and do lots of different activities for him and the other children. He is very much treated as an individual, rather than just another child. He is given healthy and delicious food. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a fun, friendly and kind setting for their child.

My son loves going to this nursery. They do lots of fun activities and have a huge garden that connects to a forest where they regularly go to explore. My son has been making lots of progress since he's at this nursery. I highly recommend it.

My 2.5-year-old son has been at Stepping Stones for a couple of months now. He settled in quickly and easily and is always bouncing and happy when I collect him. The freshly cooked meals always sound delicious, and the activities seem to be varied and interesting. Photos and observations are sent every day, and the staff that I have met, seem warm and friendly. With Covid restrictions, I haven't been able to look around inside the school, but certainly, the garden is fantastic, and it's great that the kids spend so much time outside. I'd definitely recommend Stepping Stones to anyone looking for a small, cosy, intimate nursery.

I’m definitely most impressed about the updates parents receive throughout the day on what they’ve eaten, nappy changes and photos. This is a real bonus for a mum like me that just worries constantly.

My children are excited to go each day and come home smiling and exhausted. Highly recommended!

Overall though we can’t really fault anything we’ve experienced since our daughter started at Stepping Stones.

Education, nutrition and playtime have far exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Stepping Stones. Their handling of the Covid-19 situation has been executed extremely well.

My husband and I visited a number of nurseries and we knew the minute we walked in Stepping Stones was just right for our daughter, who has turned 1 year at the time. A year and a half later and I can categorically say it hasn’t disappointed. The setting is perfect, not too big and impersonal. All the staff are amazing: welcoming, warm and friendly. Exactly what we wanted for our little girl. Our daughter has developed really well in this environment, confident and happy. I am sure she wouldn’t be so far along in her speech etc if she had stayed at home. They have really demonstrated how great they have been through lockdown and the reopening of the nursery. We have felt hugely confident that our daughter’s welfare and that of all the children are at the heart of what they have done. The smiling, happy faces made it so easy for our daughter to return (on a few occasions our daughter was up at 6.30am waiting at our front door to go to nursery!). Thank you so much to all the team!

My daughter loves it. We looked around a few nurseries in the area and this was the one she felt comfortable at; even enough to leave us for a few minutes and go and play! She goes two days a week and she can sometimes be teary in the mornings, but it takes her less than 10 seconds of being inside to feel at home and happy again. She absolutely loves the staff and babbles about them nonstop. Whenever I peep my head around she looks like she's having a whale of a time and all the children are always engaged in their activities and playing. The food is catered to the children and just by talking to the chef you can tell its made with love. My little one loves the weekly French lessons and I love that the nursery upload observations with photos giving me some insight to how she is, when she's been changed, what she's eaten and her next steps. I couldn't fault it or praise it enough! Forever grateful for the social skills our little girl has picked up and the confidence she's gained too.

Both of my children visit Stepping Stones and enjoy themselves very much. My oldest is now in the pre-school room and started in baby room 3 years ago. I have to say I always felt that they both received excellent care and that they are in a safe environment. All the staff are doing and have done a tremendous job on the educational side as well as teaching social skills. Everyone has always been super helpful as well.
