Merrydale Day Nursery

Like most Mums, I was anxious about putting my Son into the nursery (mainly because I knew how much I would miss him) but turns out I had absolutely nothing to fear! All of the staff (and I mean all of them) are simply wonderful. Everyone is super supportive, the communication is fantastic and the amount that the Team do with the kids is mind-blowing. My son is and continues to learn so much in the short time he's been there. You can tell that everyone at Merrydale truly cares about the children's progression and overall happiness. It took my son all of 3 drop-offs to settle in with zero tears, a kiss and a wave goodbye and I genuinely believe that is because he is so happy to be with the Team and his peers (plus, the kid loves his brekkie). Oh, and I must add that the food variety is amazing and Sam, the cook, is always so happy and provides the children with super healthy, hearty meals. Thank you so much, Merrydale Team. You deserve every 5 star you get!

I'm also really impressed by the level of communication - there's always clear, timely updates about my child's day, progress, and any concerns or milestones. I always feel in the loop, which is so reassuring.

We visited a few nurseries before settling on Merrydale Day Nursery and very quickly we knew we'd made the right decision. The team there were so welcoming to our son when he first joined. In no time they all knew his name and made him feel like he was part of the family. Since then, we've been really impressed by the care they show not just to our son, but all the children there. The team are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. They genuinely do care for our little ones and we feel incredibly confident that our son is safe in their hands. We are always impressed by the wide variety of activities they create for the children. We would never be able to replicate the same level of creativity and learning at home. Our son has a few food allergies and the team, including their onsite cook, has taken great care to ensure he's kept safe and still enjoys lovely fresh food. Sending your children to nursery is never an easy decision but we've never regretted choosing Merrydale.

My son absolutely adores going to Merrydale Day Nursery, I was extremely nervous about putting my little boy in nursery but he's been going for a while now and honestly I couldn't happier, he loves it, just mentioning it's a nursery day he puts on a massive smile and runs towards the front door, couldn't be more grateful for the staff there, they're fantastic and bubbly every time I've interacted with them! I can't put into words everything I want to say about how brilliant Merrydale is.

My child has been going to this nursery since he was 7 months old, he is now 1. He absolutely loves nursery and I can see the development he has gained from this nursery. The daily observations you get and all the updates throughout the day keeps your mind at ease knowing they are getting the brilliant care they receive. Watching your child grown into their little characters is just the best and know it's down to attending nursery. I would highly recommend this nursery. All the staff are lovely and all do a brilliant job. The manager and Deputy manager you really can not fault, they do a brilliant job throughout and are able to deal with any concerns you may have and put you at ease. Also the nice hot meals they get. My little one absolutely loves it and eats everything he gets a lovely variety of meals and snacks as well as breakfast and tea. None of their work goes unnoticed. Thank you.

The entire team at Merrydale Day Nursery are incredible, supportive and engage the children in a fun and educational way. My little one has absolutely loved and thrived through going from the baby nest to preschool.

My son has been going to Merrydale Day Nursery for a few years now and I've been so happy with how much he enjoys his time there as well as how much he has developed. The staff are so friendly and supportive, going the extra mile to create activities they know my son will enjoy and also learn from. Couldn't recommend it enough.

But it's really the staff that make it. They're wonderful. I was very nervous dropping him off when he first started. Leaving him was a big step for me after a traumatic birth. But the ladies at the nursery immediately put me at ease and were so supportive and understanding. They really get to know you as a family and ensure they work with you to support your child's development. They give you detailed reports every day on what they've eaten and how much, as well as regular updates on what your child has been up to (including photos). You also get an end-of-term report on how well your child is progressing. It truly is a superb place to send your child.

My daughter has been attending Merrydale for over a year and we’ve been so happy with everything. The staff are incredibly caring, they’re knowledgeable on children’s development and set out activities that really focus on what children enjoy and need to learn. My daughter loves going to nursery. We are so pleased we found Merrydale as it’s made the big decision of sending our child to nursery so much easier. Thank you.

This nursery is so supportive. I am one of those moms who wants to know everything and when changes are in motion. They are so supportive, even accommodating with me changing days around which helps as a working mom.

I have had a lovely experience putting my first child into nursery from the age of ten months. The staff have been amazing in settling me as well as her! It's such a big transition and they have been so helpful in making sure I always get updates and pictures which makes leaving her much easier. All the staff are so wonderful!

Having a child during lockdown and start nursery during lockdown, I could not rate Merrydale nursery high enough. The care they have taken with our son, his development and communication is just excellent. The staff are excellent and listen/take care of any concerns we may have. Our son has been there for nearly two years now and I know that as soon as he is dropped off he is well taken care of, and I look forward to picking him up and hearing about his day. We are very excited for our daughter to start there in the coming months. We could not have found a better nursery.

I highly recommend Merrydale Day Nursery, my son has been there now for five months, and is so happy and well cared for. He absolutely loves it there, so happy going in and often doesn't even seem to want to leave! They are highly communicative and flexible with us too, and really responsive. They do a huge range of activities for the kids which is very impressive. The staff are absolutely brilliant. I fully recommend!

Merrydale Day Nursery is a lovely nursery with a jam-packed itinerary that challenges and engages our little one every single day. The staff are lovely and are a big reason our daughter always has a smile whenever she learns its a nursery day.

My child has settled into this nursery wonderfully and gets quite excited to go (even at only 1 year old). The staff are lovely and caring, and I am also very happy with the nursery manager she has been helpful any time I had a question or needed to make a change. I feel confident my child is getting excellent care, and I see them grow and develop skills that I may not have had the training/patience to do.

Merrydale Day Nursery has been the perfect nursery for my daughter and my son will also be joining too. The constant updates each day and the attention they give each and every child is amazing. My daughter loves it, and it's like a second home to her.

Both our children (4 years and 18 months) have had a really happy and positive experience at Merrydale. The staff are all very warm, friendly and attentive and we completely trust them to look after the wellbeing and development of our children. The staff have built really good relationships with our two and we will really miss their care, sense of fun and daily chats.

I can honestly say this is the best nursery around. The staff there are so caring and attentive. My son absolutely loves going there and we will really miss everyone when he starts school in September.

Our daughter has been attending Merrydale since she was 18 months, up until starting school now. She has really enjoyed her time. The nursery is brilliant in balancing safety, fun and social and academic development. We as parents have always felt so ensured and welcomed, with the nursery being very flexible to us with any kind of help we needed. Our daughter absolutely adores the staff and can’t wait to go every morning. We will miss the nursery so much!
