Wise Owls - Farm View Day Nursery

Our son started in January 2024. I was naturally apprehensive, but can honestly say this was short-lived. Within a matter of weeks, he had settled in, despite only attending 2 days per week, and has developed a clear bond with the staff and other children. He has learnt new skills since starting and can't wait to get back through the door. The staff welcome him with open arms and give a full debrief on collection - he blows kisses to them all as he leaves. I cannot wait to see what the coming months bring - seeing him grow and knowing he is in such a safe and nurturing environment is so important. Cannot recommend highly enough!

My daughter loves it here, the staff are so lovely and I love the family-friendly feel. They're extremely flexible with my ad hoc requests and the handover at the end of the day along with the online diary is brilliant! I can hand on heart say I will be so sad when I don’t have a little one there anymore, even get sad when she moves up out of a room into a new one. The team are such an important part of her childhood, creating memories that we’ll share as a family for years to come. Highly recommended.

We absolutely love Farm View! When starting over a year ago my little girl was hesitant and clingy at best. Over the last year the staff have been warm and welcoming. They show a true interest in every little person in the setting and this doesn’t change between the rooms. We have great communication from the team and now my daughter runs to nursery and has built some amazing friendships. The team are always ready to listen to our extracurricular activities and encourage the children’s interest. Dance parties all around! Thank you everyone for your continued love, support and encouragement. My daughter is thriving and comes home telling everyone about her day and how much fun she’s had.

Was left very disappointed by the quality of care of Wise Owls. Looked like a promising setting with a beautiful countryside homely environment but the staff let it down entirely. My daughter never looked happy in the setting and the staff never seemed to even know my child or understand her interests or knew much about her/how she had been during the day. No updates on how she was progressing, her key worker was not known for weeks when she first started until we asked and asked again. Complaints and feedback were made to the room leader and then the nursery manager which led to false promises which were not maintained. Pulled my child out because I could not comprehend sending my child to such an appalling setting. Worked in nurseries previously and I would not recommend.

Our daughter started at the nursery in October in the baby room and we have felt thoroughly supported by all the team and staff as we transitioned into our new 'normal' as a family with work, childcare and our daughter settling in. The team have gone above and beyond to support our daughter with her additional needs and fill us with confidence that our daughter is safe, nurtured, welcomed and cared for by the very best team when we drop her off. We can't wait to see her grow and develop at the nursery over the years to come!

I have 2 children at Farm View. My eldest is now in the preschool room and has thrived since starting there as a baby. He has made great friends and really grown and developed. He loves going in and has great relationships with his room leaders. My youngest is in the baby room and has always loved going in. I have gotten to know a lot of the staff and love how they always say hi to the kids and clearly really care for them. There’s been a lot of improvements to the nursery over the last few years and it’s a really lovely environment for them to explore. I would highly recommend the nursery.

My daughter had massive separation anxiety and was so hard for her to settle. Staff were very kind and helped her settle. I have seen massive development in her ever since she’s joined the nursery. We don’t know how other nurseries operate but our son will also attend there in a few months. Definitely recommend it.

My little one has been thriving since she started at this nursery. The staff are fantastic and the setting itself is perfect. I love the fact it is so quiet, with lots of safe outdoor space for the children to play and grow. Activities are well thought out and it is clear that the staff are passionate about bringing out the best in each child.

My son has been attending Nursery for 9 months now and absolutely loves it. Since the change in management Farm View has really changed for the better! The staff in the Owlets room are very caring, always super friendly at drop off and pick up, tell me how the day was, what activities they've been up to and built a great relationship with my son. You can also find a lot of details like nappy changes, naps and meals on the App.

It's nice to know that my son has a safe space and is being encouraged to explore and supported by activities that help his development. The rooms are spacious, the outdoor spaces are also big and the nursery is in a quiet area. The neighbouring horses are a firm favourite!

The new Manager is also fantastic. Very approachable, happy to get feedback and can be found in the kid's rooms quite often. They all really seem to love what they do. Highly recommend it and will definitely try and get a spot for our second one here.

I thought it would be helpful for any family to write my review.

My daughter started here at 11 months old and has had such lovely and caring key workers throughout her nursery school journey. All of the staff are so friendly and professional. When they introduced an app this was great for us to see what our daughter was eating, when she was sleeping and what she was doing/learning. Prior to the app the staff were great at letting us know this verbally at pick-up. Knowing that our daughter was being cared for by loving people made such a difference and I'm sad we've moved away and had to leave the nursery - I don't think we'll find such a nice nursery and setting again. Special thanks to the whole team our daughter was very fond of you all.

She always has so much fun and has made great friends. Thank you to the team for always going above and beyond!

Wise Owls - Farm View is absolutely fantastic. My three-year-old son is so happy there and has been since he started in 2021. We don't ever worry about him, but instead, are reassured that whatever he is up to, he is happy and well looked after. He loves group time and always comes home singing songs of the day or telling me all about the stories they have been reading and learning about or even that I'm not washing my hands correctly, and he shows me how they taught him at nursery! And it lasts 2 minutes! Even when I collect him later in the afternoon, towards closing time, there is a structured activity such as a parachute game or story, and I can hear the children laughing before I even get to the door. The staff are so very caring and fun for my child to be around, and he looks up to them and is inspired by them. He will be leaving shortly to go to a school preschool, but my two-year-old daughter will be taking his place. Thank you, Farm View.

Thank you so much for all your hard work Farm View. It's hard balancing work and parenthood, and knowing that my son is being cared for so well, and is so happy, makes all the difference.

My daughter is due to leave Farm View Day Nursery in August this year as she is off to primary school. She has attended since she was 14 months old and has had a wonderful journey at Farm View. We are hugely appreciative of all of the staff who have taken such great care of our daughter and provided her with such a fun, supportive and nurturing environment, in which, she has grown so much. My 2 year old son has been attending Wise Owls - Farm View Day Nursery for half a year now and we are very happy with the day nursery. The staff are amazing, attentive and kind - we get regular feedback on the child's development. My son loves going there and adores the staff. He eats very well there and we are happy with the nutritious menu and fruit that the children get daily.

Our daughter has loved attending Farm View since she was 10 months old and she has thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you to all the staff who have helped her develop along the way in preparation for primary school.

Thank you to all of the wonderful staff who work at this amazing nursery. My daughter has been here 4 years and we are so sad she is leaving. All the staff are so kind, caring and reassuring. When my daughter was 7 months they really supported me in her transition into the baby room, they were so kind and very informative at the end of each day always answering any questions that I had so cheerfully. I could tell her keyworkers truly cared about all aspects of her well-being and they had built a real connection through her time in each room. There was real structure when she moved through each room and they were very invested in her development and ‘next steps’ …..She can now confidently write her name before going to school thanks to her current keyworker. The owner was also very informative and quick acting throughout the pandemic. As a nurse she insured the nursery remained open and really supported us on the frontline. An outstanding nursery and team.

Incredibly disappointed with all aspects of Farm View. My daughter was very unhappy going here and she is a very happy and confident little girl normally. On one drop off the staff member was taking a personal call and ignored the distress of my daughter to continue the call. After giving notice it came to light they had made an error on my invoice and thus took it upon themselves to keep my deposit. Appreciate there have been staffing issues due to Covid but this should be managed better to ensure levels of service do not drop, especially when looking after young children.
