Busy Bees Maidenhead Norden Road has been fully refurbished to cater for the special requirements of young children.

The opening times are from 8:00 am to 6.00 pm, 52 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday. Full and part-time places are offered to children from 6 weeks to 5 years old offering a structured and balanced daily routine.

The committed team of inspirational and highly qualified nursery staff are extremely proud of the warm and welcoming atmosphere on offer and are pleased to announce that they have been recognised by Ofsted as 'good' in their last inspection.

The pre-school has the added benefit of an independent nursery teacher, who teaches the Early Years Foundation Stage. They are Ofsted approved and provide a full range of curriculum activities with the following Early Learning guidelines.

The nursery in Norden Road opened in June 2008 and is a purpose built nursery situated in a quiet private residential area within close proximity of Maidenhead town centre, main train station and commuter links such as the M40 motorway and A404.

The home from home environment accommodates the individual needs of children aged between 6 weeks and 5 years and offers a total of four bright, airy age appropriate rooms and boasts a large bespoke outdoor play area, designed to capture the children’s wild imaginations and offer new and plentiful learning opportunities.

They are open 52 weeks of the year between the hours of 8:00 am and 6.00 pm and offer the option of full days and half day sessions.

The team has been providing excellent support during the pandemic and helped my daughter to become socially interactive. My child has successfully overcome the stranger anxiety and now enjoys interacting with people. Her keyworker has been very supportive and I can see the hard work paying off when
my daughter happily waves goodbye in the morning. I also feel connected to my child during the day through the parent zone app. Being a first time mum with anxieties that come with it, I can now finally put my mind at ease knowing my daughter is in capable and experienced hands.

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees since the age of one and is now 4 and in the pre-school room. She loves going to nursery and even on days she does not go she plays 'nursery' at home with all her soft toys where she is the teacher!
The nursery staff have all been caring, kind and excellent
in looking after her. The nursery did seem to go through a couple of managers a while back, however, the current manager has been there since Jan 2020, added a lot of stability and has taken the nursery forward with extra activities such as science lessons, ballet, yoga etc...


I would be happy to recommend this nursery to other parents.

Busy Bees is a fantastic nursery and the staff are wonderful! My daughter has absolutely excelled since attending the nursery, she has come out of her shell and is so comfortable and happy. The range of activities are brilliant and she has been learning Ballet in the nursery which is her absolute favourite.

The staff at Norden Road have been fantastic and supportive looking after my little one. He has definitely flourished and developed in so many ways within the last year. As a first-time parent, I was worried about settling in, and there was a language barrier in the beginning, but the staff were fantastic
and helped provide a thriving environment. Approachable staff, and lovely management.

This is a wonderful nursery with a very pleasant atmosphere. With my daughter being so young, I had apprehensions about childcare. My child joined Busy Bees Norden Road (preschool room) in September 2019 and since then he's in love with the whole concept of nursery. The team at Norden Road, led by the manager are lovely. The settling-in experience was so smooth and almost as if he was effortlessly blended into the new environment.
I love the hygiene they follow as that was of prime importance to us while finalizing a nursery for our precious little boy. The staff are well trained in their area of work and the children simply love them to bits and vice versa. There's a good blend of learning and play and the highlight of it all is the lovely outdoor garden that children have access to for a good part of the day. All the staff are approachable and provide detailed feedback to parents at the end of the day with regards to the activities, food, learning, etc. My little one can't wait to get back post the lockdown. I would highly recommend BB Norden Road to all the anxious parents out there looking for the best for your gem.

My son has been attending the nursery for 6 months and is currently in the baby room. Staff were very helpful with the settle sessions and ensured my son and wife were both happy before starting.
We both receive a thorough handover at the end of each day and staff seem very concerned for the children's
welfare.
We love that an external music company comes each week which my son loves as we go to their sessions outside of nursery too.
As a whole, we are very happy parents to a son who loves his nursery and staff.

I send both my kids to Positive Steps and quite happy with this service. My older son loves the place and his teachers and is very happy to go to nursery. Very friendly and supportive staff, management has been extremely kind and always been flexible and catered to our needs.

My daughter started at Positive Steps when I was due back to work after maternity leave, I was so anxious about leaving my baby daughter, but I could not have asked for a better team to support me and take care of her.
They are all so loving and dedicated and take each child's needs into consideration.
My daughter's confidence grew immensely and she learnt so many different skills from all the activities and opportunities they provide.
They have the most amazing team even down to the housekeeper.
I would recommend Positive Steps to anyone and I am so happy that I chose the perfect nursery for my daughter to grow.

I am delighted to welcome you all to Norden Road Nursery. 


I am degree-level trained in Primary Education with QTS and 20 years of experience in supporting children within their early years. I have further training including safeguarding, early reading and phonics, early Math programmes and SEND training. 


I am passionate about providing a home-from-home environment for the children and creating strong bonds for the children and staff through mutual respect and care as well as learning opportunities and experiences for the children inside and outside.
