Busy Bees Maidenhead Norden Road has been fully refurbished to cater for the special requirements of young children.

The opening times are from 8:00 am to 6.00 pm, 52 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday. Full and part-time places are offered to children from 6 weeks to 5 years old offering a structured and balanced daily routine.

The committed team of inspirational and highly qualified nursery staff are extremely proud of the warm and welcoming atmosphere on offer and are pleased to announce that they have been recognised by Ofsted as 'good' in their last inspection.

The pre-school has the added benefit of an independent nursery teacher, who teaches the Early Years Foundation Stage. They are Ofsted approved and provide a full range of curriculum activities with the following Early Learning guidelines.

The nursery in Norden Road opened in June 2008 and is a purpose built nursery situated in a quiet private residential area within close proximity of Maidenhead town centre, main train station and commuter links such as the M40 motorway and A404.

The home from home environment accommodates the individual needs of children aged between 6 weeks and 5 years and offers a total of four bright, airy age appropriate rooms and boasts a large bespoke outdoor play area, designed to capture the children’s wild imaginations and offer new and plentiful learning opportunities.

They are open 52 weeks of the year between the hours of 8:00 am and 6.00 pm and offer the option of full days and half day sessions.

Our daughter has been at Busy Bees Norden Road since January and has been really settled and happy there. The staff have been really supportive and kind and take the time to understand each child's needs and preferences, tailoring their approach accordingly. I am so grateful for how gentle and understanding
they were in supporting me through the transition from maternity leave to being a working parent. They are always encouraging our daughter to try new things (she loves the weekly musical story sessions and the delicious meals), and I am often amazed at how much she learns at nursery. The nursery is always spotlessly clean while encouraging messy play and self-feeding - I don't know how they do it! We will miss the nursery team enormously when we move out of the area. If only we could take them with us!

My son has just finished his final year at Busy Bees Norden Road, after 3 wonderful years. This nursery has been nurturing and supportive through various transitions. First, praise for the nursery's management - the Director is truly one of the best, caring and intuitive, with a big heart and an eye
for the same - she brings on terrific people to be part of her team. Second, I am grateful to the teams in both toddler and pre-school groups. My son has learnt so much, I could tell every day that he was in a safe space accelerating his pace of learning as he wanted to go back, absolutely loved his teachers. Great communication, working with us to adjust to the changes my son was experiencing, always willing to listen and be a partner in the development. On a number of occasions, we have made a communication plan together to help my son with one issue or another and tackled it together. Highly recommend.

I had the most wonderful experience with Busy Bees Maidenhead Norden Road Day Nursery! From the moment I stepped in, I could feel the caring and nurturing atmosphere they've created. The staff are like a big family and their dedication to each child's growth is truly heartwarming. My little one was

I really cannot speak highly enough of the manager and the team at Busy Bees nursery, Norden Road. My little one has been attending for almost a year and the care and support that he has been given has never been less than outstanding. Communication is always clear and the staff always give a great
handover, both on the app and verbally at pick up- it is always so lovely to hear that they know my child so well! As a parent, I really can't express how fantastic it is to drop my child off in the morning and not feel worried or concerned- it is a huge relief to know that my child is being provided with a caring and enriching environment. I would absolutely recommend this nursery to anyone who wanted the best start for their little one!

My daughter has been here since September and we are very happy. We chose this place again since my first daughter went here. She is excited every day to go there and when she returns she always with joy, talks about what happened that day. I can always rely on the help of the staff there if I have
any questions. Best thing I think is that I get told what happened that day, such as what she eats and sometimes I get a photo of what my daughter is doing.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was only about 9 months old (she's now 19 months old) and she was loving each and every day there. Not only her, but I loved going there and speaking to the staff, the centre director and every person that works there, feels like your friend who you
can fully trust to leave your child with. They have a wonderful team, where they make sure they are bonded with each other. Members of staff genuinely love children and they tell you stories about the child's day and how they interact with others. They give good reviews of the development progress and are very professional. They cared for my daughter's special dietary requirements and made sure she only eats appropriate healthy food.
This nursery is very much in demand now so don't wait up too long and register as soon as you can!

I'm really happy with this nursery. I didn't see many nurseries before. I only had one visit and I loved this one from the first time. The staff and manager are lovely and my daughter is really happy there. I recommend this nursery to all my friends.

My son went back to Busybees in September 2021. His speech was delayed so initially was concerned about his development. The staff at Busybees have been so supportive and I have seen my son's speech improve day by day since he joined Busybees again. He absolutely loves it, has made some friends and
it is such a joy to see him grow from strength to strength. The manager is amazing and the fact that we share the same faith (being Christian) has really made a world of difference.
The love and care that has been shown to my son is just amazing. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Amazing people, amazing facilities and a real passion and display of child development.

My son started his nursery with Busy Bees, Norden Road in June. We had recently moved to our new place and hence I was a bit worried about the settling-in process amidst all the shifting chaos, but the staff at Busy Bees, Norden Road went that extra mile to ensure my son was well settled within a couple
of days. It's been more than a month since he has been in the nursery and absolutely loves it. Needless to say, that makes me so happy and relaxed! I would highly recommend Busy Bees to the parents out there looking for a home away from home for their kids.

The manager and the team at Busy Bees are real ambassadors of what childcare should be. The moment we met the team we knew that our son would be in the best hands. Our son has special needs so for us finding a mainstream environment that had the right investment in our child was important. Our son has
been with Busy Bees since Oct 2020 and we have seen him grow in leaps and bounds. We have regular contact from the nursery and also a really helpful app on which they update during the day. I can hand on heart say that our son would not have achieved what he has achieved so far if it wasn't for Busy Bees. They genuinely care and you see that on a daily basis. Would not hesitate to recommend.

It's been almost 6 months now, my daughter is going to Busy Bees Nursery at Norden Road. During the initial time, we were worried about settling in but the staff were absolutely fantastic and managed my daughter very well to settle in. Now she is extremely happy to go to the nursery. We did not wish
to leave the nursery however due to some logistics issues we have to transfer her to another branch. The staff at Norden Road have been fantastic and supportive looking after my little one. She has definitely flourished and developed in so many ways within the last six months. As first-time parents, we were worried about settling in, but the staff were fantastic and helped provide a thriving environment. Approachable staff, and lovely management.

We have been with this nursery for almost 7 years first with my son and then my daughter, and this has been home away from home for them. The staff are very caring and loving. They have also introduced a platform earlier this year to provide digital feedback about their day at nursery and also add the
occasional photo which is lovely to see. The nursery also offers the option to have your child’s birthday party at nursery since gatherings were not permitted by the government due to COVID. They made my daughter the princess of the day, provided a birthday cake and had a day full of playing games. I highly recommend this nursery.

I am delighted to welcome you all to Norden Road Nursery. 


I am degree-level trained in Primary Education with QTS and 20 years of experience in supporting children within their early years. I have further training including safeguarding, early reading and phonics, early Math programmes and SEND training. 


I am passionate about providing a home-from-home environment for the children and creating strong bonds for the children and staff through mutual respect and care as well as learning opportunities and experiences for the children inside and outside.
