Excellent nursery. All staff are trustworthy, kind and caring. I am happy to leave my children there and they always seem to have had a good day. The baby room is lovely, staff are responsive to individual baby's needs. Little Robins is a bit more chaotic as is the nature of a class full of 2-year-olds
and preschool provides an excellent learning environment as well as plenty of time to play. The outdoor space available is fantastic, I think sometimes they spend all day outside which is wonderful!
The food on offer is well balanced and they have recently introduced a starter and main instead of pudding every day, a welcome change. Overall, an excellent nursery, fees comparable with others in the area and, in my opinion, this nursery offers a much wider variety of experiences.

My daughter has been going here for 1.5 years now and I have been really pleased with the setup and staff. They have been brilliant with changing days when necessary and the location is beautiful - I feel they do a lot with nature and making the most of their surroundings which I am really pleased about
as I wouldn't like my daughter to be stuck indoors all of the time. The staff are always very accommodating and have been very helpful through my daughter's various transitions, from wearing glasses to potty training. I receive detailed feedback every day on what my daughter has eaten, been up to etc and I have regular updates on my her progress. The nursery also makes a real effort on any events (valentines, Easter etc) and the children have themed days, make gifts etc which is a really nice touch. I have recommended people and would be happy to do so again.

I wanted to say thank you to the manager and her team at Busy Bees for their help over the years. With my wife regularly working overseas the team have been very flexible in the days they attend helping us book additional days which helps me whilst I am at work. The opening hours of 8 until 6:30 are
also a benefit which lets me fit in with my client appointments when required. Not only that but I always find the classroom staff very kind and great with our kids. My eldest is now in his first year of school and the nursery has ensured that his basic skills were at a good level to continue his education. Berkshire College is a beautiful and secure environment and enables the kids to go for long walks enjoying and learning about the plants and animals.

My daughter is 13 months old and started Busy Bees at Hall Place 2 months ago. I was a little nervous as she seemed so young, but from the first settling in session, my nerves were calmed. The staff are warm, kind and caring and my daughter's key worker is amazing. Everyone takes the time to get to
know your child, which made me feel confident I was leaving my daughter in a place where she would be happy and well cared for. Although early days, she is starting to really enjoy nursery and this makes it so much easier to drop her off each time.

Facilities are excellent - all rooms are full of natural light, toys and play activities are regularly changed, and each room opens onto its own garden. I wanted a nursery where my daughter could be outside a lot, and this is certainly the case here. The children go out each day and their outside space, plus the wider grounds, make this a beautiful setting to do this. I would highly recommend Hall Place to anyone thinking about their nursery choice.

Busy Bees at Hall Place is a lovely nursery where you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door. Children are encouraged to have fun as well as learn ~ there is always plenty going on no matter what time of day your child attends (I believe this is helped by the vast outdoor surroundings the
nursery is set in). Our child has been attending the nursery since January 2015 when I returned to work, I have always felt comfortable leaving him in the care of the staff and he has made many new friends. I feel that the staff are friendly and approachable and happy to help develop your child's wants/needs ~ our son requires help from the SENCO coordinator, everything is listened to and plans for his needs drawn up accordingly, for us this is invaluable. When the day comes and our little man leaves for 'big school' my husband and I will be very sad to say goodbye to the nursery and if we were ever to have another child we would not give it a second thought as to where he/she would attend.

My 2yr old daughter started nursery for the first time at Busy Bees at Hall Place last month (March 2017). The staff at Busy Bees are kind, helpful, friendly and caring and they got my daughter settled in within 3 days. She is now excited to go to Busy Bees every morning and can't wait to be with the
nursery staff.

The nursery is situated in the picturesque grounds of historic Hall Place away from noise and pollution of cities and is easily accessible from Maidenhead and surrounding towns. The Berkshire agricultural college is also located on the grounds which are well maintained and looked after. The operating times of the nursery is 8 AM - 6:30 PM.

The management takes a keen interest in all the children and I was surprised to see the manager and the office staff hands on in the nursery rooms.

Busy Bees at Hall Place is a place where you can leave your child safely and you know they will be looked after and cared for like you would.

We highly recommend Busy Bees at Hall Place.

Both my children started here as babies, my oldest is now at school and my youngest is in the preschool room. The staff are fantastic and really make the nursery, they really care about the children and are always interested to see my daughter and find out how she is doing at school when she helps pick
her brother up. New management has seen the nursery recently refurbished and the outside spaces for each room allow all children to play outside all year in an environment suitable for their age. The nursery makes good use of their location taking the children for walks to see the animals which my son loves. Food is freshly prepared on site and the menu is varied so I always know my child is well fed. The biggest bonus for me is the slightly later pick up time of 6:30 pm, I don't work locally and this makes such a difference to my day. Both my children love Busy Bees so much I struggle to get them out of the nursery to come home! I would recommend a visit to see how great it is.

My daughter attends Busy Bees at Hall Place and I am very happy with the care that she receives. The location is fantastic, with lots of outdoor space, including a large field and enclosed play area. There is also a mini zoo nearby which the children visit. The main carers in my daughter's room
have been at the nursery for years, are very experienced and my daughter is very comfortable with them. The food is varied and nutritious. The nursery has been redecorated recently and looks smart and clean, with information for parents clearly posted on the walls or doors. I am very happy with the education that my daughter has received and feel that she is well prepared to start school.

I am extremely happy with this Nursery. My son has been going here since August 2016 and he loves it!
I really like the layout of the Nursery, the outdoor space and the care that is put into the classrooms, making it look like a fun place to learn. They do a good variety of activities and the variety
of meals is excellent. The teachers are very good and make a big effort with each child.
I always feel like I am kept up to date on my sons day and activities and have recommended the Nursery to others.

Our little one has been with Busy Bees Hall Place since she was 10 months old. What a fantastic team they are, especially those in the tinies and crawlers rooms. Very caring and thoughtful, and the main thing being our little one is so happy to be there. Highly recommend.

I have 2 children at Busy Bees who both love it there. They settled in very quickly and have built really good relationships with their key workers. I feel that the staff there take a genuine interest in their welfare and development. They eat very well, they do a lot of creative activities and the
outdoor facilities are excellent so they get plenty of fresh air and exercise.

The ladies at this nursery are fantastic with my daughter, it has taken her a while to settle in but everyone has been so helpful and caring with her. The outside and inside spaces are both very generous and offer children a lot to do. They are always teaching news things too. I would not take my children
anywhere else!

Both my daughters have attended Busy Bees at Hall place, the eldest is now at school and the transition was made so much easier as she was fully prepared by the amazing staff in pre school. My youngest is 19 months and the difference in her since she has started nursery is amazing. The staff are so
caring and I never have any worries about leaving her and it makes coming back to work so much easier knowing how happy she is. The outside space is a real plus for Busy Bees and the children are outside as much as possible along with being taken on lots of nature walks and to visit the animals which is lovely for them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Busy Bees to anyone looking for a nursery for their child.

My son has been at Busy Bees for a couple of months now and I am so happy with my decision to move him.
I was originally sceptical about using a chain nursery but I couldn't have been more wrong! They have policies and procedures in place. If there are any issues, they can call on in-house experts
to help them work it out. The food is well thought out and cooked.
All the staff are very warm and friendly to both children and parents and after two years of hating going to nursery at the old place, I was delighted when my son asked me if he could go to nursery on Saturday!
I would fully recommend Busy Bees to any parent.
The environment is second to none, the grounds are beautiful with so many different things that they can see and do.

Busy Bees at Hall Place is a fantastic place and both myself and son are very happy every morning at drop off. The nursery make full use of the college grounds and they regularly go for walks and have some access to the animals on site. The pre-school has really helped my son flourish and I am amazed
at his French ability from the teacher that comes in. The rooms are all very engaging and the staff there really care for the children. I have used Busy Bees since my son was six months old and I really couldn't have asked for better care and support they have shown. I highly recommend this nursery.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.429)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.429) out of 10 for Busy Bees Burchetts Green is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.839 for Busy Bees Burchetts Green is calculated as follows: ( (132 Excellents x 5) + (21 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 155 Ratings = 4.839
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.59 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Burchetts Green is based on 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.825
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 85 number of registered child places is 17. 13 Positive Reviews ÷ 17 = 0.765
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
