We have loved this nursery and are really really sad to leave (we are moving house). The manager and her team are exceptional, the care they have given to our daughter is superb: personalised, tenacious and relentless. We could not have asked for a better nursery.

This is a lovely, caring nursery. The staff are very kind and warm towards the children, giving lots of cuddles and support to the little ones. My daughter recently became ill with a fever at nursery and when I came to pick her up some one was sat with her, cuddling and comforting her, which was lovely.
My daughter loves nursery, she has come on leaps and bounds here and has so much fun, she doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day!

My daughter loves her time at Busy Bees, so much so that encouraging her to come home is often a challenge. My daughter is in pre-school and her day is full of learning and fun with her friends. The staff are always full of engagement both with the children and with parents. My daughter has built great
confidence with the staff and they pay attention to her individual needs supporting her learning and her ability to develop. There's so much to do day to day and the outside free play space means that her physical needs are also met. Every member of staff is willing to help and support the children. I couldn't recommend the nursery more and am looking forward to our final year before Daisy is off to school :-)

Busy Bees at Hall Place has made both me and my daughter feel so welcome, I always get warmly welcomed from the reception to the classroom I drop her off in. They all as a team have the children’s interest right at the top with drop offs and pick ups being so informative but relaxed. I love the outdoor
space and the size of the gardens. I would highly recommend friends and family to this nursery as fees are so reasonable considering the amount of activities learning and fun they have all while in the safest environments, also the food Busy Bees at Hall Place provides is so yummy, nutritious and such a diverse menu. Thank you to all the staff who is helping my daughter thrive and be the best she can be.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for a couple of years now and absolutely loves it. She has recently participated in Sports Day which was a lovely age-appropriate event and all participants took home a medal. My daughter receives excellent care from the nursery staff and I couldn’t recommend
this nursery more highly.

I'm so thrilled we picked Busy Bees at Halls Place for our child. They absolutely love it and happily walk into class every time they attend the Nursery. The staff are really great, informative, helpful and friendly.
The purpose-built nursery is lovely, beautiful ground with a huge garden they
can all play in, along with their own age group garden attached to each room. I love how my child has progressed with her alphabet, speech and learning and they are only 2 years old.
The Management is approachable, visible and very attentive for any of our needs.

My wife usually drops off and picks up our little one, but I occasionally will do myself. I am always greeted by a friendly face straight off before I enter the nursery and then it proceeds to inside the nursery as well. I have found all the staff to be friendly and informative. Our little one often
speaks about her teaches and always seems to be happy when we drop off and pick her up.

Both of my boys have been at the nursery since they were 9 months old. They are very attentive and both my boys really thrived from being here. The staff are lovely and friendly! My youngest has a hearing impairment and he wears hearing aids in both ears....they have accommodated this extremely well
with 3 monthly reports being done and new targets set to compete with him. He is also given quiet time away from the others so he can really focus and concentrate on a topic but is also encouraged to take part in group times which he does too. They are amazing and wouldn't have any problems recommending!

Excellent nursery. All staff are trustworthy, kind and caring. I am happy to leave my children there and they always seem to have had a good day. The baby room is lovely, staff are responsive to individual baby's needs. Little Robins is a bit more chaotic as is the nature of a class full of 2-year-olds
and preschool provides an excellent learning environment as well as plenty of time to play. The outdoor space available is fantastic, I think sometimes they spend all day outside which is wonderful!
The food on offer is well balanced and they have recently introduced a starter and main instead of pudding every day, a welcome change. Overall, an excellent nursery, fees comparable with others in the area and, in my opinion, this nursery offers a much wider variety of experiences.

My daughter has been going here for 1.5 years now and I have been really pleased with the setup and staff. They have been brilliant with changing days when necessary and the location is beautiful - I feel they do a lot with nature and making the most of their surroundings which I am really pleased about
as I wouldn't like my daughter to be stuck indoors all of the time. The staff are always very accommodating and have been very helpful through my daughter's various transitions, from wearing glasses to potty training. I receive detailed feedback every day on what my daughter has eaten, been up to etc and I have regular updates on my her progress. The nursery also makes a real effort on any events (valentines, Easter etc) and the children have themed days, make gifts etc which is a really nice touch. I have recommended people and would be happy to do so again.

I wanted to say thank you to the manager and her team at Busy Bees for their help over the years. With my wife regularly working overseas the team have been very flexible in the days they attend helping us book additional days which helps me whilst I am at work. The opening hours of 8 until 6:30 are
also a benefit which lets me fit in with my client appointments when required. Not only that but I always find the classroom staff very kind and great with our kids. My eldest is now in his first year of school and the nursery has ensured that his basic skills were at a good level to continue his education. Berkshire College is a beautiful and secure environment and enables the kids to go for long walks enjoying and learning about the plants and animals.

My daughter is 13 months old and started Busy Bees at Hall Place 2 months ago. I was a little nervous as she seemed so young, but from the first settling in session, my nerves were calmed. The staff are warm, kind and caring and my daughter's key worker is amazing. Everyone takes the time to get to
know your child, which made me feel confident I was leaving my daughter in a place where she would be happy and well cared for. Although early days, she is starting to really enjoy nursery and this makes it so much easier to drop her off each time.

Facilities are excellent - all rooms are full of natural light, toys and play activities are regularly changed, and each room opens onto its own garden. I wanted a nursery where my daughter could be outside a lot, and this is certainly the case here. The children go out each day and their outside space, plus the wider grounds, make this a beautiful setting to do this. I would highly recommend Hall Place to anyone thinking about their nursery choice.

Busy Bees at Hall Place is a lovely nursery where you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door. Children are encouraged to have fun as well as learn ~ there is always plenty going on no matter what time of day your child attends (I believe this is helped by the vast outdoor surroundings the
nursery is set in). Our child has been attending the nursery since January 2015 when I returned to work, I have always felt comfortable leaving him in the care of the staff and he has made many new friends. I feel that the staff are friendly and approachable and happy to help develop your child's wants/needs ~ our son requires help from the SENCO coordinator, everything is listened to and plans for his needs drawn up accordingly, for us this is invaluable. When the day comes and our little man leaves for 'big school' my husband and I will be very sad to say goodbye to the nursery and if we were ever to have another child we would not give it a second thought as to where he/she would attend.

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.677)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.677) out of 10 for Busy Bees Burchetts Green is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.883 for Busy Bees Burchetts Green is calculated as follows: ( (53 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 4.883
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.794 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Burchetts Green is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 85 number of registered child places is 17. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 17 = 0.294
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
