Acres of Fun Day Nursery

Our daughter loves attending Acres of Fun Day Nursery and the amazing activities that are facilitated outside. The staff are excellent at considering her needs and developing activities to support her including transition when we newly moved to the area, supporting her to get school ready by using her interests to encourage new skills, and supporting her social and emotional needs when a parent is away. Communication with us is excellent.

We have loved everything about Acres from the moment we arrived. Communication has always been brilliant and we have felt supported in every aspect of our daughter’s care. The food is phenomenal and we feel so lucky that our little one is cared for by the most dedicated and caring team. We couldn’t recommend Acres highly enough and can’t wait for our youngest to start!

Our son has been attending Acres of Fun Day Nursery since he was a baby and since day one he has been loved and cared for brilliantly. The staff are always so kind and supportive of his needs, and the range of activities that they set up every day is exceptional. His physical development is very well catered for with the huge outside area, and we have seen great progress in his speech, independence and social skills. Our son loves going into nursery every day, has built strong bonds with his key workers and has lots of friends. He comes home happy and exhausted every day - in fact he often doesn't want to leave!

Acres is a fabulous place - the people, the grounds, the opportunities provided to children - are all second to none. Our daughter has benefitted from 2.5 years at Acres and has enjoyed every minute. Knowing that she has been at such a loving and caring community has put my mind at ease every day she's been there. Can't recommend highly enough!

I would highly recommend Acres of fun. It’s such a wonderful place.

We actually moved to Acres when our daughter was 15 months old due to the previous nursery closing down. We have done good research and visited all local nurseries at the time, and I can safely say that it is hard to compare what Acres of Fun offers to any other place. The staff is absolutely wonderful. We went through all the rooms (baby, explorers, lower and upper pre-school) and every room has been managed by different staff. The team is incredible - always so welcoming and caring. The outdoors space is beyond amazing - offering different types of playgrounds, huge sandpit, woods with a fairy house and fire pit, outdoor art classroom and several patios. It doesn't matter what the weather is - kids are always encouraged to play outside, plant veggies, go on a bear hunt and have adventures in the mini woods. Our daughter was quite shy as a toddler, turned into a confident and curious girl who was very excited to start school. We really miss Acres, it is an incredible place!

Through this review, I wanted to express our sincerest gratitude to all the Acres of Fun team for looking after both of our children for the last 4 years. Acres has given them an enriching, happy and secure environment to grow and learn and they have both loved their time there, eager to go in every single day! The staff are consistently welcoming, creating a happy and safe place where the children are encouraged and given the confidence to express themselves. The team are always thoughtful, going over and above the call of duty to make drop offs and pick ups easier for the parents. We always look forward to "occasions" at Acres, some of my happiest memories are enjoying Christmas parties, Sports days, Nativity productions and the wonderful and thoughtful crafts made with little fingers sent home. We cannot thank Acres enough for our time with you and for giving our children a great start in life and I can not recommend this wonderful nursery more.

Our son has been attending Acres of Fun for almost two years, and we are extremely happy with his time in the nursery. Alongside the fun he has with the great team of staff, we're really pleased with the focus the nursery has on healthy food, growing their own produce, group activities, and outdoor time. For most of the year, given any opportunity, all of the children are playing and learning outside in the open and expansive garden. The kids get great experiences there every day.

Could not ask for a better nursery to send my child to. It has set her up ready for school in the best possible way. She has loved all of the outdoor space on offer and the extra activities like French, ballet and football.

This is a fantastic setting. They’ve welcomed my son so warmly into the upper preschool. The activities offered are amazing and the facilities on offer are second to none. Having seen many local nurseries, I can safely say this is the best by far!

My daughter has attended Acres of Fun since approximately 2 years old, she's now 3.5 years old. She absolutely loves Acres of Fun and I love sending her there. Her speech and social skills developed so quickly after starting 18 months ago. The staff are caring, kind and a lot of fun for the children. The activities that the children are involved in are excellent. In preschool over the week, there's football, French, ballet and music aside from all the other fab activities the nursery provides.

The staff welcomed my daughter with open arms and through tough times outside of nursery have supported my daughter through the changes in her life. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough and will certainly be sending my second daughter there. The thought of leaving my children to go back to work is hard but having done it once before when my daughter started I know there's no better place for them to be looked after than Acres of Fun. I can be at work knowing my child will be having the best day at nursery!

Great nursery with excellent facilities. Staff are very attentive. The menu is always varied and well balanced. The nursery also runs lots of extra activities such as grandparents day, sports day, Christmas parties, all of which are lovely opportunities for parents and family members to see their children in the nursery environment.

All the staff are amazing, they are patient, caring and approachable. The kitchen staff cater brilliantly for her food allergies and provide a range of nutritional food. My daughter has developed her social skills as well as academic skills whilst attending Acres of Fun, always bringing her learning home and reenacting events from the day.

Special events are staged by the dedicated staff, eg Easter, Sports Day, Grandparents Day, Christmas - when all kinds of activities which the children and their families take part in, are skilfully managed along with thoughtful hospitality. The Owner, is always available at the Nursery, giving great leadership supported by an extremely professional team.

A fantastic supportive and confidence inspiring nursery. We have found all the staff amazing. They have been extremely welcoming and friendly which provided a great environment for my little boy to settle in. He loves his days at Acres, he has come on leaps and bounds. I would highly recommend this nursery and preschool.
