Little Dragons opened in 2003 in a purpose-built single story building on the Bath Road in Reading. The nursery accepts 64 children aged from three months to five years and is conveniently located within 1.8 miles of the town centre.
Children are cared for by experienced and highly qualified staff who offer an interesting, educational environment full of experiences which allow the children to explore and grow.
Each nursery has stimulating outdoor play areas and children are encouraged to spend time outside developing their gross motor skills and having fun with their friends. Inside you will find warm, cosy environments which are perfect for children to take part in numerous creative and entertaining activities.
The nursery offers the 30 hours funding and is registered to accept Tax Free Childcare payments.

Every single member of staff goes above and beyond-they care deeply about the children, and it shows in the way they engage with and support them each day. The facilities are excellent, with a spacious and fun outdoor garden, and the menu is wonderfully varied (frankly, better than my own lunches!). The activities are fantastic, my daughter loves yoga and dancing.
Although childcare costs have risen in recent years, it has been worth every penny. Our daughter has flourished in their care-she is confident, eager to learn, and fully ready for school, which is a testament to the team at Little Dragons.

From the very first day, the staff have been welcoming, patient, and genuinely caring. We've had the pleasure of having kids here since November 2021 and will soon be sending our last off to school - it is going to be sad saying goodbye to such a wonderful place and a great chapter in our lives. From the first day the staff have been kind, caring, friendly and so, so good with the kids. It definitely says something about a place when your child grumbles about not being able to go to nursery at the weekend to see their friends and have fun! We have used this Nursery from 2019 onwards for two different children, and have never had any concerns about the staff's ability to care, make wise decisions for the welfare of our kids, act with compassion and provide a healthy environment. There seems to be a wonderful feeling amongst staff who all appear to enjoy their job, are always courteous and who my children are always happy to go to. I can think of many of examples of things that have been arranged at the nursery that have showed how much the staff (managers included) want the best for our children and truly love them. There is a lovely feeling of family when you drop off your child. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Nursery to others.

The nursery offer a well balanced menu which is approved by a dietician. Although we meet the needs of all dietary requirements, we are not yet offering a Halal option. This is something we hope to explore in the future.

Little Dragons has been a wholly positive experience throughout the time our children were at the nursery. At all times they have felt welcomed, safe and happy, thanks to the positive environment that the management and their staff have established and maintained. They have clearly developed - in terms of both their social skills and learning about the wider world - during their time at the nursery, and have become more curious and engaged about their surroundings with the support of the nursery and its staff. Management and staff provide extensive yet clear communications about what has happened with our children, what is happening in the wider nursery and how we can complement what the staff are doing in the nursery with our actions outside of it. Moreover, we have always appreciated the attention to detail when it comes to managing risks, and proactively looking to improve processes where necessary. We cannot recommend Little Dragons enough to potential parents.

My son has been attending since August 2021 and will do until he leaves for school this September. He has always enjoyed attending Little Dragons. It's a great little nursery. The facilities are lovely and the staff are really friendly. My son has learnt so much coming to this nursery. Any minor problems that have arisen have been dealt with well by management. I would recommend this nursery to anyone. The only thing I would change would be the food offering and to perhaps have more than one option for the older children because if my child doesn't like something he will not eat it and he is not offered an alternative and will only eat vegetables for lunch some days.

It is also very encouraging to know that you have a good relationship with our staff and management team. We will make sure that the team see your review. Regarding our menus, they are reviewed by a dietician on a regular basis to ensure that we are providing the children with a well-balanced, healthy diet. Whilst we appreciate the children enjoy different tastes, they are encouraged to try the varied menu. We would always liaise with parents if there was a continued dislike that meant a child didn't eat enough during the nursery day.

They are everything you’d want from a childcare provider. The facilities are very good. I cannot fault the nursery at all. I have visited other nurseries and my other children have attended different ones, but I have to say this is the best experience I have had. It’s run like a close family, the staff are close and look out for each other. They have a small staff turnover, my daughter knows all the staff by first name and they all know her too.
