Little Tots Nursery - Reading

My daughter really enjoys her time in this nursery. The staff is very involved with children, my little one knows all of them by name. All the Ladies are very pleasant and devoted to developing all the children into better themselves. My scaredy-cat daughter became much more brave and much more confident in climbing and trying new things. She learnt a lot, from putting on a jacket and waiting her turn for the swing, to having much wider knowledge of the world (animal facts, etc.!). Montessori way is great, children learn independence and co-play whether with older or younger children. Love the area outside. Trips to the playground and forest school are great too. My little one in a few months, leaves for reception, but definitely she will have fond memories of Little Tots in Reading!

My son has attended Little Toys for almost a year now and I can see such lovely qualities in him due to the wonderful things they teach to the kids. He’s very polite from modelling the good behaviour that they teach and it’s nice that they always encourage independence. He has required a little extra attentiveness due to health issues, and the team have been very supportive. The staff are clearly attentive and supportive and the manager is clearly very hands-on. It has a lovely family feel to it, and I can see the team all working together so well. I especially enjoy the focus weeks where they hone in on the development journey of your child. The forest school is something we are also very much looking forward to. I’m so glad we moved to Little Tots!

Your patience, enthusiasm, and passion in mentoring my son are so dire. I honestly thank you for your hard work as a teacher. l sincerely thank you for preparing my child for a lifetime of success. I consider you the best nursery I have ever known!

My child has had the best experience with this nursery so far with zero regrets. They have tried to tailor their activities to every child’s peculiarities and I love they’re developing their social skills and building their independence in preparation for the future. Highly recommend!

Our son will be starting school in September, and we will really miss the nursery so much.

Since starting at this nursery, my daughter has grown in confidence. She will openly talk about staff members and her friends.

My eldest daughter has been attending Little Tots Nursery since she was 2 and is sadly due to finish this year in July before starting at primary. Little Tots is great, the staff are amazing and have really helped my daughter through the years. She loves going, and even when we were on holiday she was asking “is it a nursery day?” Looking forward to my youngest starting at Little Tots Nursery on her 2nd birthday! Highly recommend little tots!

Little Tots has been amazing with our two daughters over the years, our youngest is currently there and has been thriving in the Montessori setting. We love the garden and how the children get to explore it throughout the day, with no restrictions. Our daughter seems to really enjoy the hands-on learning and collaborative play she gets to do with children of different ages (of the preschool age). She comes home talking about her friend who is a year older than her - we love this and believe both children get so much out of it. The staff are also amazing, so patient, warm and encouraging. Our eldest who is now at school loves picking up her sister and seeing her old teachers again. Little Tots also hosts summer and winter parties to get the families together for a gathering outside of nursery hours. This really helps to promote a sense of community and encourages parents to meet each other properly.

Our daughter loves going to the nursery every day! Due to covid she spent her first two years at home and was only able to go to nursery after her second birthday. At Little Tots we've seen her development accelerate. Coming from a non-English background the level of language and communications skills she's developed in less than 6 months is incredible. The nursery staff really nurture the kids' skills and interests and empower them to explore the world around them. Our daughter loves going every morning and when I pick her up she's always smiling and eager to tell me about her day.

The outdoor garden is amazing, full of fun activities and areas for children to engage in. Indoors the children are able to move from one area to the other easily and pick their activity.

My son started with Little Tots Nursery - Reading recently and from day one has absolutely loved it. The staff have been nothing but lovely and the other children have been so sweet and welcoming. Would highly recommend Little Tots as I can also see the Montessori style of learning has been really good for my son. Excited to see him grow further in this loving environment.

I have a very sensitive and attached boy who I thought would not manage the nursery setting well but the teachers at Little Tots have shown him so much love and support and he is thriving. He has not cried once during drop-offs and has adjusted very well to his environment. His key worker has been an absolute pleasure to work with and is always willing to work with us to address any of his dietary restrictions and other health requirements, without ever making us feel like we are a bother. Overall highly recommended for anyone looking for a slightly different approach to a typical nursery setting. We love the Montessori ethos and looking forward to seeing what he can learn there over the coming years.

Absolutely amazing nursery for my son. We had a difficult year with a different nursery but this one has been supportive and managed to engage my little boy who had terrible experiences with his last. He's so happy going in and always has so much to tell me when I pick him up! I feel he is safe and cared for. It makes the world of difference having staff that actually like and enjoy their work. You can see it through the children! Please never lose your ethics and maintaining staff quality.

Overall I’m happy with the nursery. My daughter learned a lot in the past few years and made some new friends. I will recommend this nursery to my friends and family.

Our experience of Little Tots has been fantastic from the moment of first contact with the Manager and the team. They were incredibly understanding and patient when our start date at the nursery was delayed. When our daughter finally began at the nursery nine months ago, I found all the photos, videos and information on parentzone incredibly reassuring as I could see that my daughter was playing and learning and she was, most importantly, happy! She has benefitted so much from all the extra activities Little Tots offer, such as Forest School, dance classes, and cooking. She has formed good relationships with the staff, all of whom I’ve interacted with are friendly, helpful and kind. Regular news letters provide in depth information about all the topics, materials and ideas the children have been exploring which is great to know! We are so happy that we choose this nursery for our daughter and have loved seeing her independence, curiosity and empathy flourishing. Highly recommend.

Lovely nursery setting and staff. My daughter has been attending for two years after switching from another nursery, and absolutely loves it. (She could not settle at the other nursery). She has bonded very well with all of the team, the activities are great and varied, she loves being able to use the outside space throughout the day and the extra activities like dance, cooking, forest school etc are just great! Will be signing my little one up when she is old enough to join.

My son loves it here. He can't wait to get in the front door in the morning and has a lot of positive energy at pick up. Feedback from staff, about the child's day and events, is good. Seems to be a very natural and engaging environment that staff have built. We are very happy with it.

As a parent, I can’t expect anything more from a nursery. Not only the facility, toys, equipment are great, but also staff attitude, kindness, enthusiasm, patience and work ethic are all invaluable. My daughter loves the time she spends here and we are so glad to see her development as a person in all aspects since we have started last year. Very much appreciated and highly recommended!
