Little Tots Nursery - Reading

I would highly recommend to all my friends!

Amazing nursery, both my children have loved it here. Staff are amazing and I feel my children have learnt so much and have been well cared for. It's a lovely setting and I like that they have access to the garden, the secret garden and they have forest school. It teaches the children to be more in touch with nature and to care for others. I would highly recommend to friends.

We've seen many nurseries before we settled for Little Tots, going through a difficult period after my daughter's surgeries, wasn't an easy decision to take and definitely the best choice. I know every day that my daughter is well looked after, learning every day something new and she's having lots of fun with the other children.

My daughter is absolutely in love with the nursery and therefore so are we. The fact that the nursery follows the Montessori method is a massive plus for me as I know that they are following her lead instead of imposing adult thinking on her developing mind. They have brilliantly allocated her key worker to be a native speaker of our language which has made my daughter feel safe and secure. In terms of hygiene, the nursery is impeccable and does not smell of dirty nappies or toilets. The freedom of the open doors is absolutely brilliant for someone like my daughter who enjoys being outside. She is always dressed appropriately for the weather and because of that, she has not been ill. In terms of her development, she has experienced a massive leap in her speech, mathematics and social skills. At her young age, she counts up to 10, is able to match some phonic sounds to the letters and has developed a "best friend". We highly recommend the nursery and their friendly staff.

My son has settled in really well at Little Tots. The staff are so friendly and have made so much effort to get to know my child and understand his needs. My son has been very unsettled in other nursery settings but has bonded with staff quickly here. He has also, benefited from the stimulating learning environment and activities available. I love that they do gardening and have the opportunity to do forest school!

My child loves going to his "school" and as a mother, I am more than happy to hear that. He seems to play in the setting safely but is having lots of fun. I am very happy in this regard.

The staff have been accommodating of our requests and thoughtful and sensitive of our emotions. Couldn’t recommend this nursery more.

In my opinion, it is a very pleasing and safe environment for every child who attends there.

On another note, this nursery was much more flexible on how we use our funded hours than others, allowing us to make most of the funding.

My son has been going to Little Tots since he was two, it has been a two year journey. Little Tots have recently refurbished and gained more staff. I found the atmosphere healthy and happy. The children are very happy with the activities and enjoy forest school and secret garden the most.

It is a family nursery which is what you look for. All of my children have learned very well with the help of the teachers. Yoga, Spanish and cooking is my daughter's favourite and it is encouraging that she comes home excited about her day every day. Little Tots set the foundation for my children and they are all doing extremely well so for that I am very thankful.

In my opinion it is very nice and safe environment for every child and I can not praise it enough.

The nursery offers brilliant activities like yoga, dancing, Spanish classes, forest school, baking etc. Highly recommended for those who pay special attention to the educational and emotional development of your child.

The forest school and secret garden are his favourite activities and he always speaks of these outings with great enthusiasm. The staff are welcoming and show interest in our child and are happy to provide information about the day. The nursery also has a beautiful outdoor space and is well equipped. We would very happily recommend Little Tots.

The outside areas are one of the best I have seen after visiting at least 10 other nurseries.

Little Tots was everything we wanted in a nursery for our son – the opportunity to play, to learn, to make friends, to be outdoors, to have cooked meals and most importantly to be well looked after by caring staff whilst we worked. He was never short of someone to watch out for him. His vocabulary soared as he communicated with children of all ages in the nursery and with SLT support from the staff. He loved coming to the nursery to play with his friends and still talks about Little Tots now after moving to ‘big’ school. I believe that his confidence and transition to school was greatly enhanced by his experience at Little Tots and the Montessori ethos that underpins all the activities they do.

Would thoroughly recommend this nursery.

It’s a very good nursery. Has got excellent responsive staff that give very good attention to the kids.

Both our children have been to this wonderful nursery. We cannot recommend it enough - and we have experience of 3 other nurseries in total, so we've seen it all!

Our children have been extremely happy and peaceful here. They have become confident and independent people. They have learnt to socialise with children with all ages (as all ages are together in this nursery), which is a huge benefit for when they reach school and have to be able to interact with children of other ages.

Our children have loved all the activities on offer including yoga, cooking classes, Spanish classes, Forest School, Secret Garden visits, special entertainment put on for Christmas, Winter Wonderland, Group time, Circle time and the many other group and one-to-one activities that take place. The teachers are extremely approachable, really care for the children and interact with them, very well and all the time.

There are little routines when sessions start and end that the children love. Independence is encouraged and the nursery offers lovely activities, for example cooking, Spanish lessons and others. The best thing though is forest school for the over 3 year olds.
