Busy Bees Sandy, Bedfordshire has been awarded Good by governing body, Ofsted (March 2023). This beautiful one-storey nursery and preschool is located on a tree-lined drive in a quiet residential area of Sandy. They are located in the same grounds as Sandy Upper School and Community Sports College with their own self-contained entrance accessed by a gravel drive.

They enjoy good road networks and transport links for commuting parents including a bus stop serving Bedford and surrounding areas. Sandy train station with Great Northern services to Peterborough and London’s Kings Cross is a short 6-minute drive away.

A quiet location, ample resources and a passionate and highly qualified team are just a few of the reasons that parents choose Busy Bees Sandy, Bedfordshire Nursery and Preschool over other childcare settings.

Children at Busy Bees at Sandy enjoy a stimulating curriculum devised in line with the EYFS statutory framework. Rooms are bright and airy and enjoy a cosy home-from-home feel, designed to settle and relax babies and children into the nursery environment.

The passionate childcare team delivers a programme of activities and experiences to navigate children through key childhood milestones. From arts and crafts, messy play and sensory play to home corner and role play there’s lots to do to challenge enquiring minds.

Though fun is the order of the day every day they begin to gently introduce more structure in the preschool rooms and deliver the foundations you’d expect for lifelong learning – phonics, literacy and elemental mathematics plus key social skills to help your little ones become confident and independent.

Oh I was so nervous about going back to work and sending my baby to a nursery! How would I trust anyone to take care of our little one? What if he cried all day? What if they couldn’t get him to sleep or eat? What if he felt abandoned? Etc etc.
Despite this anxiety that I am sure so many new parents
in this situation feel, we have been so happy with the care that our son has received at Busy Bees. He is currently in ‘Bombos’ (the baby room) and has settled in very well. The practitioners who take care of him are so kind and gentle and I believe that they understand his personality and needs. The communication is excellent; you are updated throughout the day on an app and we always have a nice conversation at pick up time too.
Our little one cannot have dairy or soya but the chef still provides a very good, balanced diet for him.
Most importantly, I trust that he is in good hands and that he enjoys his day. Thank you, Busy Bees!

We moved into Potton last April and our daughter started Busy Bees, Sandy straight away. She immediately acclimatised, seeming to get along with her peers and staff. She enjoyed going to nursery from the beginning, and still enjoys it. The meals are nutritious, the environment is fun and she learns
new things all the time. We couldn't be happier. She's now in preschool and we've noticed a developmental leap as she is learning more. All the staff and management are approachable and personable. and we thank them for their efforts.

I believe it's the team at Busy Bees Sandy that make the choice to send my children here easy - they are brilliant!
My eldest has now left, but she attended for 4 years and progressed and developed so well under the care of everyone here - making the transition to reception a breeze - that my second,
who is now in the toddler room, also attends and he loves it! There's a beaming smile as we pull into the car park and I'm confident that each day is different, varied and that his needs are always considered.
The environment is safe, clean, and you can see the effort that goes into making the rooms and garden different and interesting for the children from week to week. The team are always happy to have a chat about what's going on, any concerns or even happy news/developments that we like to share. They are free with their advice too and make you feel part of their 'family'.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

Busy Bees at Sandy offers a homely welcoming environment to support young children in the early years of their lives. Their ability to provide a safe and fun surrounding coupled with structure and learning is a testament to the incredible and passionate staff. My son loves going to nursery each day
and I'm very proud to be able to send him to such a fantastic place. His development has vastly improved since joining and I have every confidence that his wonderful team will carry on progressing that through his time there.

My child's careworker is very experienced and knowledgeable with what the best path of learning is required to better my Daughters abilities. I am very happy and confident that she is in the best care here as she is full time. I have no issues with any of the staff. Needless to say, we will be sad to
leave once she goe to primary school. All the staff, especially the new ones, are guided to give the best care possible and training is excellent to ensure all qualifications are up to date!

My child has recently transitioned up to the next group (2-3). I just wanted to say how happy I am with the move. The staff have been amazing, the resources are fantastic and my little girl is coming on leaps and bounds developmental and behaviourally. The management are always helpful and willing to
listen to any concerns. An excellent nursery. Highly recommended!

It has been a great experience to have been a part of this nursery, the staff are very polite, helpful, understanding, caring. I have to say it is coming to an end soon but I do hope it will keep the good name. Love it.

My daughter loves her days at nursery. She is in the 'Bear Cubs' room and thoroughly enjoys exploring the different areas. Her favourite activities are singing, music making and sensory sessions. The staff are all kind and caring and the environment they create is both welcoming and nurturing for all.
My daughter's key worker is very knowledgable and has really taken the time to get to know her and her likes and dislikes. All the staff work hard to create a personalised experience for the children and their families.
Our daughter is happy, sociable and very inquisitive, we couldn't ask for any more from Treetops Nursery Sandy.
Highly recommended and much better value than other Ofsted outstanding nurseries in the area.

I cannot fault the staff at all, my son is notoriously clingy and they have made him so comfortable. He gets excited about nursery now and I never thought that would happen.
It's a brilliant place for children to grow, learn and socialise.
Couldn't be happier, plus the food is better than anything
I cook.
Well worth it.
