  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.619 for Better, Sutton Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (107 Excellents x 5) + (58 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 168 Ratings = 4.619

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. 2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 4.333 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Better, Sutton Day Nursery is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

    2. Target of 15 positive Reviews (75 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 5 Reviews ÷ 15 Target = 0.333

Moving from North-West London in December 2016 we were desperate to find a good nursery for our three-year-old daughter. We have visited almost all available places in the area and with full responsibility for my words, I have to admit that this was THE BEST choice. Our daughter settled very quickly, being cuddled by amazing girls from preschool. Apart from great facilities, clean rooms, developing activities and toys, the nursery offers football and tennis lesson as well as access to the soft play (all included in the price). We are the happiest parents in the world, hearing our daughter singing new songs, talking about friends.
For working parents, the opening hours are a huge advantage (start 7.30 am).
Parents are being updated via email with all activities and events taking place.
It's worth pointing out that staff improve their qualifications and frequently attend various training and courses.

Our son started when he was 18 months, and he is 3 now. It is a great, clean, professionally run place with friendly staff. Facilities are in a very good condition, and there is plenty of parking. This is a very good nursery, and children have plenty of opportunities to learn and play. Plenty of gates to keep little ones inside.

Our daughter has been going to the nursery for 15 months now and is very happy.
The staff are lovely and clearly demonstrate that they care about the children. We are very happy with the nursery and would recommend it. The things that set the nursery apart from others in my view are:
- the sports activities the kids have the opportunity to do as part of the provision. The activities include dance, tennis and football but are undertaken on certain days so it will depend on whether your child attends those days
- access to the soft play
- Staff have recently received training on STEM subjects and new equipment to incorporate STEM activities has been purchased. My view is that these areas are often neglected at this age and focus is on reading skills. I appreciate that the nursery provides this to the kids.

My son attends the baby room and I have nothing but good things to say about the staff, set up and approach of Sutton Day Nursery.

The main baby room feels clean, airy and welcoming for babies, with a great range of toys and play areas. The equipment is well cared for too, and the staff are fastidious about cleaning.
A great benefit is that babies are able to use a cot room which is directly off the main baby room. If like my son, your child is used to taking naps in a dark room and in a proper cot, this is a brilliant (and fairly rare) feature.

SDN have helped my little boy settle smoothly into the rhythm of going to nursery, feeding himself and being confident around other children. He has progressed a lot since joining the nursery and is in a happy routine.

I could go on and on but in short, this is a fabulous nursery offering the full package any parent and child could want.

My son started in the baby room September 2016. The staff were fantastic at getting him settled and me comfortable with being away from him! Since starting at Sutton Day Nursery, he has developed good social skills, become more independent and really enjoys his time there. The staff are attentive, welcoming, friendly and professional. It's comforting that the staff know all the children's names, needs, likes and dislikes indicating there's personal interest rather than just numbers. Seeing the children forming bonds with and being so comfortable with the staff means they feel safe, well taken care of and happy! My little one recently moved to the transition room and again the staff were amazing at getting him settled and happy in his new environment.

As a first time mom, I found choosing the right nursery a daunting process, visiting about 8 nurseries and revisiting 3 before deciding. Thankfully I made a great choice!

My daughter currently attends Sutton Day Nursery 4 days a week and she loves it. The staff care and love her like she is their own. She has developed so much since attending both physically and emotionally. It makes me happy as a mum to know my daughter is happy.

I have 2 children that attend this nursery for four days a week and they are very happy here. My oldest child has been coming for nearly 2 years and my youngest has been attending for 10 months. They were both made to feel extremely welcome and settled in very quickly.

The staff are very friendly and attentive to their needs. They are always taking part in different activities and cover a broad range of the curriculum.

Both our girls attend this nursery - one in preschool and one in the toddler room. The teachers are amazing in both rooms. Not only are they very attentive, they care about the kids and want the best for them. My girls are quite sensitive and sometimes find it hard to part in the mornings, but the staff has helped me find ways to make the drop off easier. By the time I pick them up, they don't want to leave! They have so much fun, eat well, do fabulous activities included in the cost. The children are all happy, go to the staff easily, they are learning new things all the time and the nursery is clean and a fun and safe place to be.

My daughter has been enrolled at Sutton Day Nursery for about a year. I would recommend it wholeheartedly - the staff, management, activities and variety offered are all excellent. We will continue to send our daughter there for so long as we remain living nearby.

My son has been going to the nursery for over a year and I am happy with how he is looked after.

At the end of the day my son does not want to come home and runs away from his dad at collection time as he is having too much fun. They do loads of fun activities and the girls are lovely, caring and do genuinely want what's best for the children.

The one thing that drew me to the nursery was how clean and tidy it is and how children were going up to staff members for cuddles, which to me is a great sign.

The management is good as they listen to parents and deal with any issues or concerns quickly and in an efficient manner.

I have complete confidence in the staff and services this nursery provides. Each morning my daughter races to her shoes and attempts (unsuccessfully) to put them on herself as she can't wait to go to nursery. After she gets dropped off in the baby room, I know that she is being taken care of with plenty of interesting stimulation. The room is well equipped with many varied areas and toys, and the food must be great because she tends to eat everything there. The room is secure and there are always multiple staff available. My daughter will definitely keep going to this nursery until she starts school.

Choosing a nursery is really difficult and can be a daunting time for any parent. You want the best care and essentially a home from home where you child will be loved and cared for with a variety of activities, in order to support their learning and development. I can honestly say that Sutton Day Nursery ticks all the boxes! We are delighted with how the team at Sutton Day Nursery look after our son, especially considering the complex health needs he has as well as the food allergies. Both of which have been accommodated with no problems.
The staff are friendly, approachable and supportive. I know that when I drop him off in the morning I can go to work without worry and they do a fantastic job with all the children there. My son comes home happy and looks forward to going to nursery each day.
The activities that the staff provide are educational and stimulating and this has allowed my son to progress ahead of his peers. The Nursery has the right balance of space and feels homely and inviting for children. All childcare is expensive however, with Sutton Day Nursery the access that they have to additional facilities on site provides excellent value for money.
The atmosphere amongst the staff at Sutton Day Nursery is great and the management have great relationships with staff and parents and are always available to talk to should you need. Communication home is brilliant and you feel that you are a part of what is happening. Sutton Day Nursery has a parent partnership where parents can contribute their ideas and feelings about what they want to see happening which is taken incredibly seriously by the staff.
Location wise it’s excellent and has great parking facilities which are a huge added bonus for dropping off and picking up! I know that it’s a fantastic place but don't just take my word for it go and have a look!

I am extremely pleased with the Nursery as a whole. The staff are friendly, supportive, understanding and very good with the children. My daughter has been attending the Nursery for over a year now and she is very content and happy. Her progress and confidence has grown and I am sure the staff at Sutton Day Nursery have contributed to this. If I have any queries or problems, I am always treated with respect and understanding and any problems are sorted quickly and efficiently.
I would definitely recommend this Nursery to my friends and family.

My daughter is very happy in this nursery. She has been here since she was 18 months. Must congratulate all the staff for being a guide to my daughter. She has learnt a lot and has started socialising. Great nursery. Also very kind and good nursery chef. Well done to the Manager and team.
