Better, Sutton Day Nursery is a day care centre in Sutton Sports Village for children aged six months to five years old, where they can flourish and reach their full potential in a safe and secure environment.

Children can participate in a range of activities which are in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage and tailored to their individual interests. As an Ofsted registered facility with a strong reputation for child development and excellent customer reviews, the nursery prides itself on creating a fantastic, engaging environment for children to learn and progress. They are used to supporting children from all backgrounds with a wide range of needs and their highly qualified staff take great pride in delivering an excellent experience for children and parents.

Children at Better, Sutton Day Nursery can also take part in a range of additional activities thanks to its ideal location in Sutton Sports Village. Activities such as tennis, gymnastics, soft play and creative movement classes are all part of the weekly nursery programme. These are taught by qualified coaches and support toddlers and children in their development of coordination and balance.

The nursery is open weekdays from 8am to 6pm (with optional extended hours from 7:30am to 6:30pm). It is closed for Bank Holidays and Christmas. Parking is free and they are accessibility friendly.

The team recognises that choosing childcare is an important and daunting decision, therefore visits from potential families are welcomed prior to registration.

We offer 5% discount for NHS and 5% sibling discount on the eldest sibling.
Fees are to be paid monthly in advance and are calculated on the basis of the nursery being open 51 weeks a year.
The fees are based on an all inclusive package, This includes nappies, wipes, food and extra curricular activities.
If we can confirm a place for your child, we ask for a non refundable registration fee of 50 pounds.
Funding
We accept 15 hours and 30 hour funding. Due to the nursery being open 51 weeks a year , we spread our funding over 51 weeks.
15 hour = 11 hour per week
30 hours = 22 hours per week
We only offer funded only place for 15 hours , which will be 4 days a week 3 hours per day.
With 30 hour funding, We have a minimum attendance of 3 days per week.

My little boy has been here since May and I am beyond happy with his care. The team in the baby room are incredible and treat him and love him like I do. It’s hard to trust people with your pride and joy but I don’t doubt for one second how happy and comfortable he is here. He eats amazingly and comes
home exhausted from all the fun he has. My favourite time of day is him running to me with the biggest smile at the end of the day.
The app is amazing to show you what they are up to throughout the day and I love the observations they do to show you his development.
He has come along so much in the time he has been there and I am so excited to see this develop further.
I had him down for another nursery and put him here instead and I am delighted I went with my gut and did so. I also have to shout out the manager as she is the definition of a leader and doesn’t ask anybody to do anything she isn’t willing to do herself.

My daughter (nearly 3) has been with the nursery 9 months now and absolutely loves it! More recently they have had a new manager come in and although we were happy with the care and facilities before, it’s now gone to another level with a proper timetable incorporating soft play (weekly) and outdoor
play (daily) they are continuously trying new healthy food options for the children and have put on more family activities such as the Easter Bonet and Mother’s Day. The staff have been great and supportive through all the stages of development. I especially like the app which includes all details of your child’s day - food, toilet trips, naps etc and pictures so you can see them happy! There is always something new for them to do/learn and a weekly book with related activities! Overall very happy with staff, care and facilities. Thanks Sutton Day Nursery

We are so blessed our girl goes to Sutton Day Nursery. The manager and members of staff are extremely professional, passionate about what they do, really friendly and accommodating and the best is, the children love being there.
The creativity and imagination they have to put all the activities together
are incredible. I highly recommend it.

My son recently started at the nursery and he's always been nervous to be without me. However, the staff here have made him very comfortable and always settle him quickly when he's emotional at drop-offs. I love the updates on the app, it always eases my heart.

After viewing several nurseries, I knew Sutton Day Nursery was the nursery for us.
Our daughter found it difficult at first but developed a strong bond with several staff members, especially her key person. She would even role-play nurseries at home where we each took on the role of a teacher and
she would leave her baby doll whilst she went to work.
I always receive feedback at the end of each session and feel very comfortable leaving my daughter there.
I cannot believe we are coming to the end of our time at SDN but I know that they have given our daughter the self-confidence and self-esteem she needs for school.

My little girl has been at Sutton Day Nursery since she was 8 months old. She absolutely loves it and since the first day I dropped her off, I haven’t had to worry about her.
They keep you updated throughout the day via an app so you can see how they are eating and sleeping. It’s lovely to see pictures
of how she’s getting on whilst I’m at work.
I can’t sing the staff and the nursery praises enough and have recommended it to colleagues.

Lovely nursery. My daughter joined last month and she enjoys every single day there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They take children to soft play every week, which is nice. The outdoor space is quite spacious, with lots of cars, bikes and slides. They always organise some activities for children,
arts and crafts, singing, reading and baking. I love the app they have, you can always see what they have been up to, as they post photos there almost every day. Overall we are very happy.

We've been at the nursery since my little one was 16 months, she's been in the baby room, transition room, toddler rooms 1 and 2 and now Pre-school.
I love that the nursery has so many rooms for the children that are age appropriate. It also feels like they have a lot of space in each room. All of
the staff know all the children and you can often see that all the children love all of the staff. The nursery is lucky enough to be on better grounds so the children often get to enjoy the workout suites, especially when it rains, they also have the opportunity to do gymnastics and go to soft play.
My little one absolutely loves it.
Since the new manager has taken over you can see a real shift in how things are being managed and I love how much she is involving families. Such as hosting a Mother's Day where mothers/grandmas were invited in for afternoon tea as well as a recent Easter bonnet parade and the communication with parents is also incredible.

This nursery is wonderful - have had my eldest in there since she was a baby, now in toddler 2 and just signed my little one up to start in September. All the staff are really down to earth and so much attention is given to the children - I can’t imagine a more stressful environment and yet they are
always positive on pick up and drop off. The app that was introduced fairly recently is lovely to see what the kids get up to and to keep an eye on their eating as it lets you know what they had for meal times and how much they ate. Would highly recommend it.

My son is in his third week at Sutton Day Nursery and I couldn’t be happier with our selection. From his settling in sessions to his first full week, I felt so reassured that he was in the best care. Every member of staff shows a real love for their job and the children in their care. I feel safe knowing
my son is being taken care of.
The nursery is in a great setting and very secure. The Baby Room is spacious with lots of exciting things for little minds. The food menu is very varied and healthy.
In the few weeks my son has been at the nursery his development has come on so much. More confident with taking first steps, making new sounds and learning new ways to play. I’m excited to see how he develops as the weeks go on.

My daughter is just turning 1 and started nursery at the beginning of February, she goes 2 days per week. The settling process was really good, she had 4 sessions which started short and increased in length. All the baby room staff have been really comforting to her and given her lots of cuddles as
she gets used to being away from home, this is her first experience away from family so she can be upset at drop off but someone is always there ready to welcome her with a smile and hug! The Famly app is great and the staff update it with her sleep times and what she has eaten, as well as some pictures, which is really reassuring as it’s updated throughout the day. She gets to do a variety of different activities and they spend time outside when the weather is good. Good value for money as nappies and all food is included, it makes it really easy to get her ready in the morning. I feel that my little one is being really well looked after and would

My Son goes to Sutton Day Nursery for the last 2 years and he absolutely loves it. It’s great nursery with excellent staff and facilities. They arrange lots of activities and games for children. My son took bit longer to settle but the staff were so patient with him and were giving him lots of cuddles
when he gets upset. Now he gets excited to go to nursery. He absolutely loves to go everyday.

Amazing Nursery, my daughter used to go here and I believe they shaped her into being who she is today so when I had my second one Sutton Day Nursery was an obvious choice. My son needs more care and attention and the nursery has been outstanding with him.

I'm very happy to have my boy in the nursery. My boy is very happy and enjoys going to nursery. I recommend it to every single person if they ask about nursery. I find about the nursery from my friend and she explains everything about the nursery. I still go on play soft sometimes with my son. The manager

I would highly recommend this nursery. They have been amazing at looking after my daughter since she was in the baby room. My daughter has been attending Better, Sutton Day Nursery for over a year. All the staff are always so welcoming each morning when I drop her off and always feedback how her day has been. My daughter loves going to nursery and is always so happy to see her teachers. They always have such fun activities
and my daughter enjoys the dress-up days, I have never had any problems and it’s always a nice feeling knowing my daughter is being well looked after when I’m at work. I have always recommended Sutton Day Nursery to family and friends who have also recently joined. I can’t thank the staff enough for how far my daughter has come and how lovely all the staff are.
