Little Jewels Pre-School

My daughter loves Little Jewels - there's lots of space for her to run around, a great stock of toys and activities and a regularly changing calendar of fun things to do. Best of all, all the staff are incredibly warm and loving - each and every one of them shows genuine enthusiasm for their work and a huge amount of kindness to the children in their care. We're delighted we chose this nursery.

We love Little Jewels and so do our 2 children who attend there. In fact today (Sunday) my oldest asked if he could go and was very sad when I reminded him that it was closed and he couldn't! Our 1 year old started in January and took no time to settle in, he gets excited when we reach the gate each morning because he knows how much fun he's going to have. As others have said, the staff are the key, they are all so caring and lovely and I have total faith in leaving my children with them. It's a safe, warm, creative and happy environment. Don't be put off by the space, they work as well as they can with what they have and the kids don't mind at all.

My only regret is my daughter didn't start at Little Jewels earlier! She's been there since her 2nd birthday and will sadly 'graduate' this year when she starts at our local school. As other parents have said, the staff are what make Little Jewels so great. They clearly love our children and take pleasure and pride in their development. In what I'd describe as humble surroundings and facilities, they create magical days for our kids full of play, learning, structure and love. Our daughter likes to arrive at 8 on the dot and we're literally 'in trouble' if we collect her too early!

In addition, the parent updates, summer & Xmas plays, local trips and safety all exceed my expectations.

I can only hope school lives up to my now high expectations of care.

Little Jewels is a fabulous nursery, primarily because the carers are so wonderful. The staff are very flexible and my daughter runs inside in the morning without looking back. My son went to the nursery for about a year and now goes back during term breaks. My daughter has been there for over a year. The facilities don't look like anything special but this is outweighed by the excellent care that my children receive. I was also worried when my daughter started that naps on a mat in the large room would make it difficult for her to sleep, however, she adjusted very quickly and it wasn't an issue at all. I would definitely recommend the nursery.

Our son has been attending Little Jewels for over 2 years and is very happy there. He has grown from a very shy 2 year old to a very confident 4 year old since he has been there. The staff are very warm and friendly and there is a good 'key worker' scheme in place which ensures excellent communication and feedback at the end of each day along with parent & key worker' term' meetings and catch ups. Our son has learnt so much and comes home each day with tales of his learnings, together with examples of his work such as pictures and paintings. The management team are very good and approachable and make the best of the space and the facilities they have. I would definitely recommend the nursery to anyone in the area.

Great staff and very caring atmosphere. Really feel secure that my kids are being well looked after and getting plenty of attention. Staff are very flexible to our sometimes very short notice changes to schedules and provided a great support to our family.

We have had to go away for little while and one of my daughter's recurring questions whilst away has been "When can I go back to Nursery". Says it all really.

Really very friendly dedicated staff. My son looks forward to going to pre-school! He is very well looked after, always getting a big hug from the staff and talk a lot about what he has learned that day.

A small but perfectly formed nursery with the best and brightest team of staff to look after our little girl. Complete trust in the team who make her feel like a superstar every day she arrives. Great feedback sessions and activities eg. drama classes with plays for parents to attend. Highly recommended!

Our daughter attended Little Jewels between January 2014 and September 2015. She was 2 when she started, and left a few days after her fourth birthday. She absolutely loved her time at Little Jewels. We enjoyed walking to Little Jewels every day, and talking about what she would do there. Often when we picked her up she was so engrossed in play she didn't even notice we were there. I think this reflects just how well-integrated and happy she was there. The nursery's approach to child development is open, caring, creative and sensitive to each child's needs and personality, at a time when they are changing rapidly and growing as children. Little Jewels' biggest strength and asset is its staff. They are a fantastic group of highly motivated, knowledgeable and kind professionals, whose passion is clearly early years education and care. We got to know them well and our daughter was always happy with them. I could not praise them more highly. The nursery has some physical limitations (size and outdoor space) but the dedication and commitment of the staff more than makes up for these. We highly recommend Little Jewels - it does Harringay an enormous service.
