Little Jewels Pre-School

My son really enjoys attending Little Jewels - the group sizes are a bit smaller than most nurseries and although not attached to a primary school, they are definitely what I would define as a pre-school in that the learning element is a bit more organic and relaxed. The staff are friendly and helpful and since moving from a different nursery almost a year ago, we definitely appreciate the flexibility and value for money that Little Jewels offers, compared to the last place.

My son is now 3 years old and joined Little Jewels over 6 months ago. He skips into nursery every morning without a complaint and has made so many friends, those he names as his best friends are also his care workers which is so sweet. The staff make every effort to communicate to parents on a daily basis and the overall communications has been brilliant, especially in the midst of a pandemic. There is a lovely and warm atmosphere at drop off and collection times and I am very pleased with our choice. There is always a great variety of crafting and activities to hear about and plenty of learning around cultural events.

We have been so happy with Little Jewels. My son started just before he turned 4 and attended for a year after doing part-time nanny share for several years. The idea was to help him to prepare for school and the team at Little Jewels did an excellent job of this. He made friends, grew in confidence and got used to spending time with children of all ages. The nursery has a happy, friendly atmosphere. The children play outside a lot and go on occasional interesting trips out. My son has loved his time there and was sad to leave, but is much better equipped to enjoy school now. Exactly what I hoped for.

My son currently attends Little Jewels and looks forward to going there in the morning. He's still happy and smiling when we pick him up at the end of the day, loves all the staff and has made some good friends with the other children there. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and put in a huge effort to make the day fun. He often comes home with paintings, crafts or even baking, but also is free to spend the day doing as much or as little as he chooses. I'm very happy with Little Jewels.

Our daughter loves going to this nursery and this is what matters most to us. Also that the nursery is one big space with no separated rooms for different age groups is actually a plus as the little ones mingle with and learn from the older children.

I’m confident the time she has spent here means she’ll be well prepared for school. The friendships and relationships she has developed, too, have given her a really solid foundation.

Our daughter was at Little Jewels from about 18 months to 4 years. She had three key workers over that time and got on really well with all of them. She had a great time and learned so much. We particularly loved how all the children of all ages are together. We appreciated the interesting trips they took the kids on. The staff cared for her, encouraged her interests (craft!), always dealt well with inevitable mishaps. Very happy with the decision we made. She will miss it.

I highly recommend Little Jewels. My two children have loved it there - the staff are fantastic; I know that my children are genuinely cared for, and for that alone, I have recommended it to a couple of friends (whose children are now also happy there).

The atmosphere is lovely, and the team are so supportive and flexible. Fantastic!

My twins attended Little Jewels from 15 months to 4 years - they were extremely well looked after and had a wonderful time. They are now starting school and I know that they will do well despite being very young for their year. Little Jewels staff are absolutely lovely and took amazing care of the twins.

We have been really happy with our son's experience at Little Jewels. Staff are caring and attentive and during his time there so far he has gained confidence and friends and looks forward to going to nursery each morning.

Both my children have attended Little Jewels Pre-School. My daughter is now 9 and my son still attends who is 3 years old. Little Jewels has been a wonderful experience for both my children and for us as parents. The staff are always full of energy and they really do care about the children. The manager has created a wonderful, supportive work environment and the staff seem to have lots of opportunity for development, which shows in the quality of the care they provide. I love Little Jewels and so do my kids.

We’ve been so happy with Little Jewels. Our son started when he was 12 months and absolutely loves it there. It has felt like his second home since day one. He has made friends and gained loads of confidence since attending. The staff are great, approachable, friendly and professional. Would highly recommend Little Jewels.

Little Jewels is a fantastic nursery, staff are the loveliest people, professional yet compassionate and engaging. Our children (now in reception year) thrived during their time at LJ. We highly recommend the nursery for anyone who wants to fully trust their childcare provider - LJ staff are simply excellent!

Little Jewels Pre-School is my daughter's second family - and sometimes feels like mine too! The staff are warm and caring and went the extra mile to help my daughter (a very shy 2-year-old at the time) settle in. She's grown in confidence, and it's a joy to see how happy she is there. Little Jewels is a fun, creative and supportive environment, but I also feel my daughter's early education is taken seriously. The regular reports are detailed and sensitive and show a great understanding of her strengths and challenges. A really lovely place.

My son started attending Little Jewels 3 years ago. He had a developmental delay with his speech but the staff were supportive and were able to recommend and put in place therapy sessions by liaising with specialists. He has excelled in his development and I know that the dedication, commitment and nurturing from the staff team have greatly contributed to this. I feel that Little Jewels provides more than what a nursery service offers. At Little Jewels it feels more like a family structure, my son loves it at this nursery. I have no concerns about his safety as I know that the staff are professional and follow safeguarding policies and procedures. I am always updated on his progress and achievements which are greatly appreciated. I also love the fact that there is a diverse staff team and each member of staff brings something special to the provision. My only negative is that he has to leave Little Jewels to start school in September.

No idea how they get them all to go for a lunchtime nap but it works.

The best thing about it are the staff who seem to genuinely care about the children and there is a low turnover, so my girls have got to know them all really well. I have three children here the youngest, twins, started when they were one and settled incredibly quickly - they haven't cried once at drop off. All the different ages are together - which works well for me as the twins can be with their older sister during the day (if they want).

I am extremely pleased with the nursery. My children love to go, and my youngest who goes only occasionally, gets her bag every morning to go with her brother! They enjoy every moment and learn a lot!
