Great nursery. As a first time mother I was looking for a 'home from home' environment with a professional delivery. When my son started at 13 months, I had never left him and found it very difficult but the staff were loving and reassuring to both myself and my son. My son has chronic allergies and
eczema and the staff have been excellent in making sure that he doesn't eat anything that he can't have and that his cream is applied at every nappy change. The chef who makes everything fresh on site, goes out of his way to make my son similar dishes to his peers so that he doesn't feel excluded. The opening hours and car park is very supportive of mothers who want to go back to work. I am more than happy with this nursery and would definitely send any future children here.

I am very happy with the service I receive from the nursery. The staff are friendly, approachable and welcoming. This makes me feel comfortable to leave my child whilst I go to work. I know that he is well cared for and also has lots of fun whilst there. I have also noticed such an improvement in my
son's speech and his knowledge/ learning in the 14 months that he has been attending the nursery. I would recommend the nursery to all parents.

My son has been attending the nursery since he was 10 months old and is now in pre-school. He loves coming and has developed so much which is down to the great staff who have put so much time and effort in for him and others.

I strongly believe that Busy Bees is the best nursery in the Bexleyheath area. The work they do with the children is fantastic, they are very friendly and caring. When my child started I felt very apprehensive, but they helped me and reassured me she would feel ok. Today my daughter loves going to nursery
because it is fun, safe and pleasant. The outside space is great and the indoors is very welcoming. I strongly believe they are the best child care my daughter could have.

I was very nervous about leaving my one-year-old daughter to return to work, however, Busy Bees at Bexleyheath and all the wonderful staff have provided a fun and caring environment for my baby and I couldn't be happier with my choice of nursery. My daughter loves going to see her friends and her beloved
key worker and all the other ladies who work in her room. She loves the food, plays all day and gets to do lots of things there that we can't do at home. It was so important to me to find somewhere that she would be loved and cared for and I genuinely believe we've found that. The staff will always have time for kind words and cuddles- which is so important to me. Thanks, everyone at Busy Bees!!

Generally a very well run nursery with polite staff. I am very happy with how it is run on a day to day basis and how my own children are looked after, following my daughter who went there for 4 years and my son who has been there for 2 years and suffers from an illness from birth, which is one of the
main reasons for sending my son here, due to my previous experience.

Current Review Score: 7.2 (7.242)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.2 (7.242) out of 10 for Busy Bees Bexleyheath is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 3.7 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 3.667 for Busy Bees Bexleyheath is calculated as follows: ( (46 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) + (23 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 3.667
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.575 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Bexleyheath is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 100 number of registered child places is 20. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 20 = 0.2
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Centre Director Joined: 2006

Hello, my name is Tracy Leeves.

I have worked in the childcare sector for over 20 years. I started working in a Primary School as a Classroom Assistant and then became a Learning Support Assistant. I then joined Busy Bees as an Early Years Educator and worked my way up to become a Centre Director.

I hold a BTEC National Diploma and an NVQ Level 4 in Childcare and Education. I have also completed an Early Years Foundation Degree. I hold a current First Aid and Food Hygiene qualification.

At our nursery we make sure we maintain a good working relationship with all of our parents, meet each child’s individual needs and create learning opportunities for all the children. I have an open-door policy for parents to discuss any aspect of their nursery life. All our parent’s opinions and suggestions matter.

I have a wealth of experience and have gained additional skills since opening this nursery in 2006. We have grown into a vibrant nursery that is now recommended by the Local Authority. Our top priority at the nursery is to care for and educate all the children, giving the children additional support when they need it.

I have two children of my own and both the boys attended the nursery and now attend both Primary and Secondary school. My spare time is spent with the boys, taking them to their extracurricular clubs, weekend football matches or planned family days out.
