My son started nursery here in October and although I was very worried in the beginning as I thought he is still too young, this is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
If you are a parent who thoroughly likes to research and make sure everything is perfect, this nursery is exactly for you.
Ever since he has started I have had no doubts whatsoever and can see huge progress already.
The staff are wonderful, caring, and answer all questions you may have upon pick up. The nursery manager in particular; she deserves a special mention and praise. I give the nursery's success to someone who is very professional at what they do, very approachable, answers all queries/questions you may have and always offers the best, convenient solution.
The nursery is clean, has lots of activities to offer and a perfect environment for my son to strive. I highly recommend Chestnut Nursery School.

My experience here with my daughter was definitely the best!
I can see a lot of good changes in my daughter's behavior, she learned a lot of things, she became a good girl, she definitely likes the place and the stuff.
When she started they allowed me to be with her more than normal, because she was
crying so I was concerned about that, and they really understood us and our needs, and finally they helped me a lot with that. I cannot say the names, but definitely they are professional!
I really recommend this nursery!

I really recommend Chestnut Nursery School - John Perry.
Nice staff, very friendly, my daughter loves to go to school.
Clean nursery, lots of activities inside and outside.

Amazing nursery amazing staff. My son graduated last year now my daughter started to attend. Everything is amazing. Highly recommended. Food is suitable for everyone and every religion. Staff is always helpful with any kind of inquiry.

I had my big girl, with special needs, 7 years ago at this nursery, they took care of her exemplary.
My baby girl has been in this nursery since 5 months ago, and it took a few weeks for her to get settled, but thanks to the staff, she got used to it and now she is happy and walks with pleasure. The
manager is a professional, and 7 years ago she took exemplary care of my daughter with special needs, and as a manager, she does an extraordinary job.

I started my daughter here about 10 months ago just before she turned 1 and they have been nothing short of amazing. They have a great space and equipment both inside and out and the staff are super friendly and knowledgable. They have a great relationship with my girl and she enjoys going there, they
update the portal every day unlike some other Nurserys so I can see what and how much she has eaten, slept etc and once a month I get a few pictures and an overview of what they’ve been doing. I cannot recommend them enough!

My daughter is always well looked after, she has a great bond with her key person and she feels happy/safe. The settling period was difficult as my child was very clingy to me but staff at Chestnut were patient and compassionate towards us as a family now she’s confident, happy and thriving.

My daughter has been at John Perry Nursery for over 2 years and she has truly blossomed during her time at this nursery! Everything from her social skills to her vocabulary have come on faster than I ever imagined. The staff are so welcoming to both parents and children and it is easy to address any
queries or questions about my daughter's day to day learning. I can't praise all the ladies enough for all their work with my daughter, especially the lady that my daughter says shes her best friend! She had a tough start but she was given so much attention to accomodate and now not a day is gone to not want to go to nursery and we look forward to seeing how she grows in the next year!

In my experience with my son's teachers, they went above and beyond at all times. Great staff; good communication skills and always happy to help. They are just a wonderful team. They update the app regularly, which is a great tool that helps me know what to do and how to do it. I will definitely recommend

My child loves John Perry Chestnut Nursery. He went with pleasure and met a lot of friends. The food is healthy, my child is a fussy eater but ate in nursery. The staff are nice and helpful, provide support, with advice during children's development.

Unfortunately, an incident happened at the nursery where my son reported that the head of the toddler room dragged him by his hood and he fell and put him on a timer. He was upset about it. I addressed it with the manager who said she would investigate. She then came back and said she investigated and
it didn't happen but there was no way she could have known this so they basically called my son a liar. I escalated to another manager who said the same thing. I sent him back as I had work and had no choice but they promised to at least change his key worker. The manager said to him when he wouldn't say bye - why don't you speak now, you had a lot to say to mummy at home. He came home really upset the next day saying his key worker is not speaking to him which I found to be really unprofessional and sad that she would take ignore him as he doesn't understand why his key worker had been changed. Removed him immediately as the staff was just unprofessional in how they handled the whole situation.

Chestnut Nursery School @John Perry is a fantastic place for children to develop their independence, confidence and curiosity.
My son has been attending the nursery since he was 1 year old and thanks to the support, care and staff dedication he achieved many milestones in his development. The nursery
nurses are always very helpful, approachable and comparative. They have helped me to overcome the difficulties with sleeping routine and potty training my son had. I highly recommend Chestnut Nursery as a great place for children to start their learning journey.

My daughter has been attending Chestnut Nursery School for over two years now, the improvement we have seen in her is unbelievable, she was initially really shy and very reserved but since joining Chestnut she has flourished so much in her confidence. She loves all the teachers, they are all so friendly
and really caring. I cannot fault this daycare. Absolutely amazing.

My son started Chestnut John Perry three months ago. At first, he was hesitant but after some time he has settled really well. I am the manager of Chestnut Nursery Schools, John Perry. I have been working for Chestnut for over 9 years in our Barking and Dagenham and Forest Gate branches. I hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification with years of childcare experience. Working in our nursery involves being part of a team and caring for children who are a variety of ages. I enjoy working with parents and carers to make sure that the nursery gives their children the best care possible, having that great partnership for the best start and end of nursery life. That means providing a safe and stimulating environment for the children to do a variety of creative activities, exploring the outdoors, and generally making sure they are having fun whilst they are learning. All children have their own unique characteristics. Seeing our children learn, explore, and develop is such a beautiful milestone. I enjoy being creative, working with young children to make our nursery a caring, safe, and enjoyable experience for all children who attend.
