We couldn't be happier with this nursery. From the very first day, the staff have been incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring, which made settling in so much easier for both our child and us. The open spaces are fantastic-bright, safe, and thoughtfully laid out to give the children plenty
of room to explore, play, and burn off energy. It's clear that outdoor and free play are a real priority here. We also really appreciate the consistent engagement through the nursery's online app, where staff regularly share updates, photos, and notes about activities and progress. It gives us great peace of mind and helps us feel connected to our child's day. Overall, it's a warm, supportive environment that we'd highly recommend to any parent.

My son is now 4 and has been attending Busy Bees Chingford from the age of 1.
I can't praise this nursery enough! They are absolutely amazing with my son and have been key in helping with his possible autism diagnosis and providing 1-1 support for him on the days he attends. Even tailoring meals and
making sure that he eats well throughout the day as he is an extremely fussy eater. They have lovely facilities including a sensory room that my child has benefited greatly from and my son has even been attending speech and language therapy weekly there as they felt he would also benefit from this and he has excelled in his ability to communicate! My son adores all the staff and often comes home asking when he next gets to go in and see them all again.
You can't ask for a safer more nurturing environment for your children to attend. 100/10 recommend!!!

Busy Bees Chingford has been great in our experience. We are first time parents and brought our son in quite early (10 months). From the registration time to now (6 months later) we have felt supported, well informed at all times and most importantly our son has the best time there. All carers are amazing
and actively sharing information on the daily activities and also have given us advice on taking care of our son. We definitely recommend them!

We have a wonderful experience with this nursery and couldn't be happier with the care our children receives. The staff are incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely invested in each child's development, we have our favourite key person. From day one, they made us feel confident and reassured, which is
so important as a parent.
The environment is bright and welcoming, with plenty of age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.
Communication via the app is good - we're kept well informed about meals, and progress, and any questions are always answered promptly.
We're extremely grateful to the team and would highly recommend it to any parent looking for quality childcare.

Leo has spent the last 2.5 years at Busy Bees and he has had the best time. He has made friends who he spoke about often and he grew very fond of the staff who have been an integral part of his growth and development.
He has moved onto a school nursery now as we hope he will continue there when he
starts reception, but i am so glad he has enjoyed his time at Busy Bees. He is such a social butterfly and it really bought out the best in him.
They were great in helping with his potty training and the staff were always so helpful and friendly and polite.
We will miss it there, but now my daughter had started and i look forward to watching her flourish.

My son has really settled in well at Busy Bees nursery. A few tears the first few months of him going but all of the staff have really made him feel welcome and now he is excited to go in the mornings. He has a great bond with all of the staff in his room. The app is updated daily with pictures and
meals and this makes me feel much better when I am at work so I can see what he is doing and how he is getting along. The staff ALWAYS teach my son new things, he has come such a long way he is beggining to eat on his own and now knows how to dress himself and put his own coat on. The staff are very encouraging with learning new things to be prepared for reception. Everytime I pick him up the stafff tell me how he has been which really makes me feel that they are watching him and monitoring him well. My son often mentions his key workers name which is lovely. Its a very safe and loving environment for kids to be and I would have no hestiation to recommend to more mums! :)

We are extremely happy with our daughters care at busy bees Chingford. She really enjoys nursery and it's clear that she has a great bond with all of the staff in her room, who provide detailed feedback about her day as well as updating meals, sleep, bottles and nappies on the app.
Once a week the
babies have an outside company come in to do a music class which I can see my daughter loves by the photos of her dancing and engaged.
My daughter is a year old, when I put soap on her hands before meal times at home she rubs her hands together, which I know she's learnt at nursery. This gives me great comfort that the staff are teaching the children important hygiene skills from a young age.
It shows great inclusivity that the nursery celebrate all different types of holidays and get the children involved with fun activities and dress up days to celebrate.
We also really like the fact that each age group has their own garden with age appropriate toys.

The staff are always supportive with the children and show enthusiasm. Have seen a massive difference and improvement from the day my child attended and now. My child is constantly asking about his teachers at home which shows the passion he has and the care he receives from his teachers.

My daughter went to Busy Bee Chingford. She loved it there and soon settled in. She looked forward to nursery every day. The lead for the preschool room was excellent. She eased my daughter into settling in and has admirable skills in understanding children. I think she should be nominated for the staff
award. I would want to nominate her for Best Staff Award as a parent.
The manager provided me with encouragement during the settling-in period and was welcoming throughout. They are very flexible and accommodating which was exactly what we needed for my daughter and us. You have daily feedback and they work with you to accommodate your views and expectations.
All staff are hardworking and have the children’s best interests at heart. I wish them all the very best. God Bless them to continue the good work and the manager to continue with her leadership.

Can't fault this nursery. The staff are so caring for my little boy and amazing at communicating with me throughout the day using the app. Highly recommend if you're looking for amazing childcare. The staff also helped me calm my nerves when settling him as I was super nervous. Thank you Busy Bees,
Chingford.

Both our children have attended busy bees, my daughter before and after COVID and have now transitioned really well to primary school, and my son from age one after COVID. The staff are very caring and have supported what has been a difficult post-lockdown transition. All the staff across the different
rooms know all the children at the nursery by name and the children's key workers have been very invested in the children's comfort, development and individual needs. The purpose build centre provides an exceptional space for both indoor and outdoor play and learning.

My son left Busy Bees at Chingford in August 2020 to start reception after several happy years. The staff there were kind, patient and helped us in several areas, namely potty training and bottle weaning. The staff are great and the facilities are excellent. I'm now seeking a place for another child
so that really is the highest recommendation I can give.

Our daughter joined Busy Bees Chingford just before she turned 1 and she is now 2 and a half. The staff were fantastic at supporting her transition when she first started and again when she returned after being off during the lockdown. The staff are incredibly friendly and I know that our daughter has
a great time from the way she runs in every morning without a backward glance. The purpose-built indoor and outdoor areas are spacious and well resourced and the weekly newsletter gives a great insight into what they've been getting up to and which is clearly all driven by 'Development Matters' in the EYFS. Health and Safety is clearly paramount, through the way they have dealt with her egg allergy and the occasional bump. It is clear from the way the staff talk about our daughter that they know her really well and really care for her.

Our son started at Busy Bee Chingord when he was 13-months-old, and even though the transition into nursery life was extremely unsettling (for both of us!), the staff facilitated the change in the most supportive, caring and gentle way, and we haven't looked back since! He spends 5-days a week at nursery
and to see how happy he is at the end of each day - makes it all worthwhile. We know that whilst at Busy Bee he is developing life skills in a safe, fun and loving environment. Thank you to all of his key workers, the nursery workers who fill in on the days that are needed. The manager and her team - you make the nursery what it is - wonderful!

We have had one or both of our children at the nursery for the past 5 years and both children have been happy and progressed well. The staff are caring, personable and take the time to ensure we and our current child attending feel comfortable with the nursery environment. Both children experimented
with food more at nursery than at home! Both the office and room staff have been flexible with our requirements and have supported our children through various ‘phases’ and quirks as they have developed into their own little personalities, often going over and above to do so. Supporting us as parents as well as our children. I would also say that the nursery has had even more of a step up with a recently appointed manager who is very positive and professional. A great appointment to the team. We couldn’t be happier and look forward to our child enjoying the rest of their nursery experience at Busy Bees Chingford!

My son has been at Busy Bees at Chingford for about 4 months now and absolutely loves it. The staff are very friendly and he gets so excited when we pull up in the mornings. A true indication of the care and attention he must receive. They've also been really accommodating to extra ad-hoc days too,
helpful in these uncertain times as my partner and I navigate work.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.941)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.941) out of 10 for Busy Bees Chingford is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.824 for Busy Bees Chingford is calculated as follows: ( (90 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.824
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.117 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Chingford is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 108 number of registered child places is 21.6. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 21.6 = 0.417
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
