The Grange Montessori Nursery, located in the charming coastal town of Ramsgate, offers exceptional full and part time childcare in a stunning period property. The setting has four spacious rooms that have been thoughtfully designed, with age-appropriate resources to support children's learning and development.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, inspired by the Montessori approach, fostering meaningful connections between children and the world around them and helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The Seahorses Room is where babies start their journey, with plenty of space to explore and engage with carefully selected toys and resources. As children grow older, they progress to the Turtle Room where they are introduced to the Montessori ethos and participate in planned experiences led by their Key Carer.

The Dolphins Room is for Pre-School children, offering free flow play and independence, as well as a dedicated Montessori teaching area. The nursery also provides a beautiful outdoor space for children to explore and develop their social and physical skills.

Following the Montessori Approach to learning, children are encouraged to make creative choices and learn through hands-on, collaborative play. The team support children as they prepare for their transition from nursery to school, and work closely with local primary schools to ensure is it a smooth process. Alongside the support of a qualified, passionate and child-centred team, children at The Grange Montessori Nursery will grow and develop under the best of care.

I would always recommend this nursery. My son loves it here and the staff are genuinely caring, and observant, give excellent handovers, and are happy to talk about child development and other child-related matters based on their observations and experience. Our child's key person is very gentle and
reassuring and offers a home away from home connection and a safe place for our son when he needs comfort or extra help. The reception staff and the manager are always helpful and informative and easy to approach or get hold of.

The staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. My granddaughter had a difficult start but now she loves coming in. The staff are quite amazing as my granddaughter is showing signs of autism on a high level, they are so patient with her.

Such an incredible nursery and the biggest appreciation goes to all the staff, they are amazing. My son started at the nursery when he was 3 months and the nursery staff were so caring and affectionate with him and gave him everything he needed at such a young age. He is now almost 8 months old and
absolutely loves going to nursery. He never has any issues going to any of the ladies because they all tag team and support one another and step in where needed and so he has built such special relationships with them all, best of all he has a very special relationship with his key person and that is one thing I've loved about the nursery is that he does have a key person and its so reassuring to see that this individual has made sure she is his key person and my son feels that too. The team are always super friendly and always happy to have a chat, they are quick to let you know of any issues or concerns and when there are any issues with my son they get hold of me as soon as possible.

The nursery continues to provide excellent care for our child, and we have seen their character blossom whilst attending.
The workers have gone above and beyond in supporting our little one, especially as she has additional needs.
Whilst on the dearer side, you get the best for your child that you
pay for.

I am so pleased with the nursery, the staff are absolutely amazing and considering what they are expected to do for the pay they get (due to the government funding), they’re brilliant! My little boy has been going there since he was six months old, he is now eighteen months. He only goes once a week
and even though he is usually a little bit emotional going in, the girls are always so lovely and caring when taking him. They’re more than happy to answer any queries and happy for you to phone and check in on them. They’re very accommodating and friendly. I honestly couldn’t be happier, my little boy is thriving and is usually full of smiles and laughter when we pick him up. His key worker is truly amazing and just so lovely, and the manager is brilliant too. There is also another lovely staff member from his room who is always there on early mornings, she’s great also! They’ve recently been rated outstanding from Ofsted also, which is a huge achievement so well done to them all!

All three of my children have attended this nursery and I cannot fault this facility at all! I tried my youngest son at another nursery this year from January and by March I moved him over to this nursery as I have always adored the staff here, for being so accommodating and the way they care for my
children. I love how they promote independence for the children and sensory learning. I've always found the environment calming and organised. Generally nothing I could fault with this nursery and I could not be happier! Highly recommend!

After visiting three different nurseries, I came across The Grange Montessori Nursery. I immediately felt comfortable and knew that my daughter would be safe and well looked after at the nursery. She has been at the nursery for over a year now and she loves it. All of the staff are lovely and take an
interest in each individual child. She has made so much progress since being at the nursery.
I personally have no complaints about the nursery and thank them for taking good care of my child while I’m at work.

My baby started nursery in April at six months old. He is so happy coming into the nursery and gives the girls in his room a big smile when we walk into the room. I had just started weaning my little boy and the girls in the room are so caring and attentive with this and listen to his needs.

Staff are so accommodating nothing is ever a problem or too much to ask, my daughter has been here since 9 months old during covid and she absolutely loves coming here. I will be sending my next child here too. Always happy to help and feels like I’m sending her into a family who treats her so well
couldn’t ask for better! She loves the garden and forest school in rain or sunshine and has happily transitioned from class to class when going up in ages.

The nursery used to be excellent until they become under new management. There has been a big staff turnover now and a lot of the new staff are not as caring and don't have the best interest of the children. The prices have gone up a lot from hot dinners to hourly pay. The nursery overall is okay now.

Unfortunately, as with many sectors across the country, Early Years has been affected in the last 12 months by severe staff shortages. We are working hard to ensure that we have well-qualified and experienced staff at all of our sites.

As a group, we review our fees annually in order to take into consideration rising costs and staff wages linked to inflation. Our teams take a considerable amount of time reviewing our fees and we do benchmark our nursery fees closely with our local market to ensure that we remain good value for money.

I think all the staff at the Grange are very friendly and are always approachable to discuss my daughter's development. My daughter is happy to attend the setting, which is the most important point for me when sending her to childcare. I do feel at times because my daughter only attends one day a week
that, I'm unaware at times who her key worker is and she seems to have had a lot of changes of key workers since she started at the nursery. Staff, I find very approachable and happy to discuss my daughter's progress, but I hardly speak with her actual key worker. Overall, I'm happy with the care the setting gives my daughter and will recommend them to others.

This is a good nursery. My little girl loves going to nursery, she really enjoys seeing her friends and the staff. The staff are always very friendly and tell me what she has done in the day and what she has eaten.

Good nursery and friendly staff. Lots of varied and interesting activities for the kids. More attempts should be made to include both parents equally, in decision-making and information sharing, especially if they're split.

A truly lovely nursery that takes time to care, play and educate each child. We've had learning plans and one-to-one parent evenings. They always feedback on daily activities, and we always receive pictures and updates on the Family app.
We've also had a lot of support to help my little one with her
speech, helping with referrals to speech therapy and LIFT. Really great nursery, my little one is very happy there. Thank you!

Excellent nursery where I am confident my daughter is safe and happy. She's built lovely relationships with her adults and I feel that all staff genuinely care about the children they look after. Very happy with the flexibility of early drop offs as it helps so much for working parents.

Both my children enjoy the nursery and have bonded well with the staff. They love playing outside and enjoy the activities throughout the day. They experience different foods whilst at nursery and try a variety of different flavours that they wouldn't necessarily try at home.

My son has attended here since February 2021 when he was 8 months old. He went from mini seahorses classroom to seahorses classroom in September after his first birthday. He also does the early sessions with the morning staff and I have to say all of the staff in both rooms, as well as the morning staff
are absolutely amazing. They help his development and work alongside me when I want to work with him on certain aspects of his development. They are all so kind and caring and I cannot praise them enough for how much they've helped my son develop, especially with the wide range of activities they plan. He's come on leaps and bounds since attending nursery, and I cannot wait to see how well he develops over the next few years there!
