My daughter has looked forward to going to nursery in her days at the Croft. My daughter has grown to be an intelligent girl who is respectful, truthful, very sensible, confident and I have to say a big thank you to Croft staff, her mentors/ key workers and management who have the right staff at the
right time.
The nursery is empowering always trying new things, changing rooms - set up the same rooms but looking different and very good all the time and this makes it new. Kids get bored looking at same things over and over. They have made an excellent effort in making sure this does not happen at the Croft. My daughter always enjoyed and loved attending this day nursery and thinks the world of it.

I have to say it is re-assuring for any parent to know my child attends an excellent place of care. It is like a deer on fresh waters, beautiful.

May the Croft staff keep this good work and hope they all empower this excellence to others.

Well done the Croft staff and all your teams and management.

This nursery is just not a child care place but needless to say, the staff are exceptional, caring and it is never too much when you need something or ask for further information. My daughter enjoyed her days at Croft now waiting to start school next Monday and thanks to all the efforts and support
to this day.

The planning of care is also focused on the child's journey and development through the service. There are weekly updates which reveal stages of improvement or recommendations of learning, play and work. A graduation day at the end of their time is emotional, beautiful and memorable. My daughter hoped she could stay there and graduate again, she loved the Croft she has said, "my best days ever are at my nursery mummy." I can recommend this nursery to anyone because of their excellent standards.

May the good work they do continue for the next generations to come. Well done to all the Croft staff and their manager/s who are aware of every detail and takes everything to precision.

Thank you, Croft, for being part of my children's early stage life. I have never felt comfortable leaving the kids with anyone or anywhere but with Croft, my instinct just allows me to leave the kids and I don't have any concerns or worry. Thanks to all the staff for the hard work. It shows on my daughter
that she learnt a lot in Croft. I can't thank you enough and when it comes to word of mouth, I am ready to give verbal feedback to the world about Croft Day Nursery and I can go on and on ...

My daughter and my son currently attend this nursery and I can honestly say that the nursery is amazing with both my children. My son is speaking, using sentences and saying please and thank you at 15 months and my daughter is ready for school. She knows how to spell her name and recognises all letters
and shapes. She has made so many friends and both of their social skills are amazing. The nursery continues to show them love and support as well as teach them a balanced curriculum. I have full confidence with the nursery and I know they encourage learning and play. They have made both my children confident and independent. The staff are so caring and have a real family feel. The food I've been told by my daughter is great.

My son has been attending the Croft for nearly 3 years, I could not ask for a more family felt environment for him to develop and learn in. I am so impressed with the time and effort the staff put in to make him feel special and unique. The staff are fabulous and are always there to ask for advice and
are willing to help in the best way they can. He loves coming into nursery and I will be very sad to move on when he has to leave for school. I love seeing what he has been up to throughout the week and reading his learning journey that is sent home weekly.
The Croft is such a warm caring environment and it always feels so happy when I arrive. I can not wait for my baby to start in the spring as I know she will be cared for by an amazing loving group.

Our Son attended The Croft Day Nursery for over two years and graduated this August to start Primary School in September. My partner and I highly recommend The Croft Day Nursery. Our Son thoroughly enjoyed his time there and we watched him grow and develop into a charming little boy. The staff are
extremely professional but add their own personal touches that allow them to build loving relationships with the children.
Our Son absolutely adored his Key Worker and the additional staff that supported him in his class. He has made lovely friends and looked forward to going to Nursery each day where his confidence grew as he progressed through each stage and was supported with his reading and writing at every level. We are grateful to the Croft Day Nursery for encouraging our son and preparing him for the next stage of his journey to school.

I would highly recommend Croft Day Nursery. My son has been there for 2 years and only just left to go primary school. He loved all the staff and children, everyone has been totally amazing and really brought him out of his shell and prepared him for primary school. My son is very sad to leave and so
are we, as they have taught our son so much and become very close to him. He loved trips to the park, library, the woods to see the Gruffalo. Spanish lessons, ballet lessons etc.

The Croft is a wonderful place with the professional team, homely atmosphere. My son was attending preschool group from the beginning of April until mid-July and I was really anxious how he would get on. But with the help of the lovely team, he settled really well and was enjoying it so much. Unfortunately,
we moved to another area but I will highly recommend the place as very good and homely.

My daughter attends this nursery 4 days a week and always comes home with a smile. Staff are friendly and always ready to address any concern. This is a great nursery managed by good people. The nursery is always clean which must be very hard with so many children in the building yet they keep great
standards.

Firstly I have to start by saying that I found picking a nursery for my sons extremely hard. I have to put it down as one of the hardest Mum jobs I have done. I have 2 boys who attend The Croft Nursery. One is in the baby room (8 months) and the other in the toddler room (2 yrs). The staff at The Croft
Nursery are happy, friendly and truly care about the children they look after. Both of my sons are extremely happy at nursery and have built close relationships with the staff in their rooms and the wider nursery. Not forgetting the Managers who do a great job in running the nursery. As a working mum, one thing I absolutely love about The Croft nursery is my Friday emails. Once a week I receive my sons learning journeys for the week. This Pdf is summary of my boys week which includes pictures. It never fails to bring a smile to my face. One happy mummy

My granddaughter attends croft nursery and loves the activities and the staff. This is very reassuring. I drop my granddaughter off and pick her up some days as does her mother. I have always found every member of staff very professional, informative and having excellent people skills and, even more
important, extremely skilled in dealing with the children. When my granddaughter had to have medication during the day at nursery they were so caring and professional we were completely at ease with their caring for my granddaughter. I could not be happier with my granddaughter's progress in all aspects since attending Croft Nursery and I take this opportunity to thank the staff for all their hard work.

My 2 year old daughter has been attending the Croft Day Nursery for nearly a year now. I have been extremely impressed with the staff and management of the Nursery. From my initial contact of enquiry through to today, there has always been a professional and friendly attitude from all members of staff.
Daily activities are fun, varied and planned to encourage growth and development of various skill sets. The learning environments are clean, spacious and full of fun stuff. The class never feels overcrowded and staff members seem to know each child - regardless of whether they work with them during the day. My daughter has truly come out of her shell she since attending the Croft and loves her time there. There is always a welcoming atmosphere at the nursery and I have only ever encountered happy and content children (and parents). I have no hesitation in recommending the Croft Day Nursery to anybody searching for a professional, well organised and enjoyable child care provider.

The Croft is a fantastic nursery, my son has a health condition and they support him so well and are willing to be flexible and understanding to his needs. I attend regular Parents evenings and get weekly emails on his progress and what he's been up to that week with pictures. They are also supportive
with potty training of my son and he always comes home talking about what he's learnt that day, and singing new songs. They've recently started giving him homework to prepare him for school, it'll be a sad day when he has to leave, I can only hope the school he goes to is just as good as Croft. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough, if I could change one thing it would be that they stayed open half an hour later, to give me more time to pick him up. But I understand the staff work extremely hard and very long days, take your child to Croft, you won't be disappointed.

My Son started this nursery after I returned to work. I was nervous, anxious and extremely scared of how he would settle in. To my amazement he LOVED it!! The staff were amazing, helpful and always had a friendly face to welcome my son! I got weekly reports with pictures of what they did and regular
parent evening to discuss progress and targets. My son has now left the nursery and we now have our daughter attending and again she LOVES it! I can not commend on how friendly and supportive the staff are. The centre manager is lovely and all workers at the nursery clearly have a passion for early years education.

this nursery highly enough wish I was a kid again so I could go too.

My son has been here since April 2013. He enjoys himself so much there I come to pick him up and some times it takes a bit of time getting him out nursery because he wants to say bye to everyone. Since he has been there he has learnt so much. The staff are excellent and so hard work. When my son was
potty training he didn't really want to do it but instead of them turning round and saying no. They persevered with him and all together we got him through it. The facilities in garden are amazing they have recently done the whole nursery up and it looks amazing. In the summer they will get the paddling pool out if it is hot enough and they let the kids go in it. Also they take the children out for walks etc to the woods park to do certain tasks. My son loves this.

This nursery overall has everything you need. Excellent staff excellent management great facilities and great communication.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.976 for Croft Day Nursery - Belvedere is calculated as follows: ( (161 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 165 Ratings = 4.976
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.85 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Croft Day Nursery - Belvedere is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.85
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 58 number of registered child places is 11.6, which has been reached with 14 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
