The staff care for my son and nurture him on a daily basis.
He has progressed very well - he knows his letters and numbers and can write his own name.
I would highly recommend Salcombe to anyone.
My daughter has been attending Salcombe since she was 14 months old (she's now 3 and three quarters) and she loves it here. The staff and standard of care is exceptional, very warm with a good sense of each child and their individual needs. In preschool, she undertakes a wide variety of activities and always comes home stimulated and full of conversation about her day.
Very good. Staff great. Very caring.
I feel the pre-school activities are great but those in toddler room should be expanded.
Food, on the whole, is nice and nutritious - could be widened slightly to include more ingredients and varied tastes.
My daughter absolutely loves her time here and is always happy and talking about her friends here and key workers. Keep up the excellent work. I would definitely recommend.
I have sent both of my Daughters to this Nursery. The older one is no longer there as she is now in Yr2, however, the younger one is at Salcombe.
Asquith Salcombe Day Nursery is Extremely expensive. More than any other organisations providing similar service. Rates equate to more than £100 a day. However, with such high prices, the services are not of that high standard. The only positive asset that Salcombe has is their garden for Children's outdoor activities.
However, the rules/procedures/protocols and other childcare services are not of any special.
Very often there is a shortage of staff which does not meet the legal child per carer requirement. I have pointed this out to management on many occasions. There is no strict protocol to welcome/greet children in when they arrive, hence the child does not feel welcomed when they walk in leading to an unhappy child.
Food quality has deteriorated over the recent past.
Very high staff turnover.
I have fed this review back to the Regional Manager and the Nursery Manager who would like the opportunity to discuss this with you in...
Our son loves every moment of nursery. The activities for the children are great. All of the staff and the time and care they give to the kids are fantastic.
My daughter is attending Asquith Salcombe Day Nursery & Pre-School for the second time after a 7 month break and she loves it. She has great support from her key worker and other staff which I have greatly appreciated. I would love if they did more 'learning activities' or if these were reported back more frequently if they are taking place. Overall, we love the nursery, key worker and the garden.
My daughter loves attending nursery. All the staff are very friendly and she learns a lot which still having fun. I would recommend this nursery to anyone. Great people and great facilities.
All the staff have gone out of their way to make sure that my child has thoroughly enjoyed nursery.
My daughter started Salcombe as a shy, tentative little girl. However, with the settling in sessions, patience and warmth of the staff, she now loves her nursery. The staff really take their time to communicate with the parents so I know when I drop her off in the morning. I will hear great tales of her day and she enjoyed herself.
Very pleased with the wide range of activities including drama, Spanish and football. Love the high-quality food delivered to kids. Staff are fantastic and very attentive to my boy and his needs. They show care to the parents and each child as an individual. Overall very pleased! Have already recommended to parents - two of which have joined as a result.
When we first walked into this nursery, we were struck by how much of a family atmosphere there was and how friendly all the staff were. We have been very pleased and relieved at how quickly our daughter settled into each new room as she got older. Her key workers have been friendly, open and attentive - invariably happy to speak on any issues that may arise. We are very happy that it's worked out so well and have recommended the nursery to at least three families.
I've always been impressed with the level of care provided at the nursery. My children thoroughly enjoy themselves and can rest assured that they are well looked after. The school is kept clean and tidy.
Thank you for everything. I couldn't recommend them more
