The Early Years Practitioners at Coombe Day Nursery believe in offering the children the best educational, fun and caring start during their early years. The nursery provides educational equipment and activities to help further the children's learning and development (in accordance with the statutory framework, the Early Years Foundation Stage).

Coombe Day Nursery offers full day care with all-inclusive fees. These include well-balanced meals and snacks, which follow the healthy food and drink guidelines, additional classes, nappies, wipes, milks and more! Coombe Day Nursery offers a stimulating environment and supports the children in learning through their play.

These training skills are especially needed for the lovely outings the children go on! The children also enjoy a variety of small world play, natural material play, sensory play and focus activities (following all the EYFS areas of learning). Children also participate in external classes; music and drama, tennis, French class, yoga and other activities. These all contribute towards their fun learning environment. Richmond Park is also near the nursery, meaning regular woodland trips.

Practitioners understand that health and safety and safeguarding is paramount when caring for the children. All practitioners are first aid trained, safeguarding trained and food and hygiene trained.

We are delighted with the care provided for our daughter. All staff are so kind and warm and go the extra mile to ensure the best possible experience for our daughter and for us as parents. Communication at the end of each day is good. My daughter really enjoys all the activities that are put on and
the ideas for activities seem engaging and creative.
I do think the food could be improved given how much we pay. I’m not sure jam sandwiches should constitute a lunch or dinner.

Really happy with Coombe Day Nursery. My kids are well cared for and happy every day. Any concerns I’ve raised have been dealt with professionally and with understanding - I always feel listened to as a parent. The staff are excellent and genuinely interested in the kids’ development and wellbeing.

The staff at the nursery are amazing and are like a second family. All the staff know all the children by name and you can tell that they really care about them. They go above and beyond to keep them entertained and learning through play.

My youngest is now in preschool and it will be a sad day for our family when he leaves for school and we have to say goodbye to Coombe Day Nursery after seven years! From the leadership team who manage to be professional, approachable and personable at the same time, to every single member of staff
who visibly care for the children I can think of no better team to entrust my child to. He comes out beaming and happy and just the right amount of mucky! He recounts stories, songs and facts learnt that day with so much joy and enthusiasm and tells us of play, laughter and special classes after what always feels like a balanced, well rounded day.
The team go out of their way to support each child’s individual needs way beyond what is expected on paper. My son’s only complaint is that he can’t bring his friend and teachers home with us every night!

The staff at Coombe Day Nursery really care about what they do and it shows in how happy the children are going in every morning. I couldn’t trust a childcare setting more - my daughter falls into the warm, welcoming arms of the practitioner and on pick up I get an insightful handover about her day
from a practical standpoint. Developmentally they are very thorough, I see this in her learning and through the app and should any area need extra care I know Coombe make the extra effort to support, keeping me updated every step of the way.

We have had a wonderful experience with Coombe Day Nursery. Our child loves going to nursery to see all the staff and her friends. The nursery provides a very nurturing environment that really focuses on helping children to develop good social skills. Our little girl has told us about how they discuss
friendships. The activities are also very stimulating. Our daughter comes home excited to tell us about what she's been doing and eager to go each morning.
I've also been very impressed at how the nursery has handled the Covid pandemic, still remaining vigilant with great hygiene measures etc. even when restrictions have relaxed but keeping the nursery going so we can still send our children in.
They're also really attuned to the likes and needs of each child. We've been able to work with the nursery as we've dropped naps, started walking, potty training etc. and have always been very impressed at the collaborative approach the nursery adopts.

Quite simply we are very happy with Coombe Day Nursery. Our children love it, the teachers, room leader and manager are all amazing at their jobs and you can tell they love the children. It's great to see such engaged staff across the board, and the children are so excited to talk about all the wonderful
things they do at nursery, alongside their little friends.
I admire the way the nursery manager has handled situations arising from day to day running of the nursery during various lockdowns and now during the ongoing pandemic.

The activities and play are always well thought out, and at the end of the day and the photos we see you can tell he has had a wonderful day. The team are very caring and hard workers and this is

What can I say, a wonderful nursery! All the staff are well trained in the field of childcare. They have individual action plans for each child and will keep you informed of how well your child is doing. The manager of the nursery runs a tight ship. And it's so clear that they really love the children
and that their safety is the most important thing to them. We were just so super lucky that our son went to this nursery and could not be happier. Now that he's moved on to school, we will miss this place so much.

Coombe Day Nursery has given both my children an excellent start in life. All staff are very friendly and focused on the child’s development as well as embracing a child’s personality.


The layout of the nursery gives a very small community feel.

We have 2 children at the nursery and they have been taught so much in terms of social and academic skills. We are very happy with them attending the nursery and so are the children. The staff have been understanding, enthusiastic and caring. Fresh meals prepared at the site and the kids get to try
a variety of different foods which I would never thought of and weekly activities which the kids look forward to.
I would recommend the nursery as they care about the kids and the staff seems happy and want to be there.

I highly recommend Coombe Day Nursery to any parent. It provides a safe and fun learning environment for all young children. The staff are all extremely friendly and caring and the range of activities provided is excellent, including a variety of outside classes such as music and movement, tennis etc,
as well as occasional outings to the park, library, shops etc. There is also outdoor play each day in the small but safe and enclosed garden, which always has lots of activities going on.


Communications with the management are easy and friendly and parents are kept well informed about the nursery as a whole by regular email, as well as their own child by the online Tapestry system. The on-site chef provides a range of meals and snacks for the children which both of mine seem to enjoy! The location is also ideal for commuters.

Our twins have attended this nursery since 2013, they were 11months old and it was scary to leave them with someone else.
Coombe Day Nursery staff made them very welcome and assured me, by their actions that it was OK to go back to work and that our twins were safe, clean, fed, entertained and cuddled
a lot.
They have progressed tremendously and are ready for school, thank you to all teachers and staff for the fantastic care and education.
Our twins are always happy to go to nursery and love it!

All 3 of our children are in/been through Coombe and it is a great nursery. One of my children has additional needs and they are open to external specialists coming in to support. The staff have been wonderful and supportive from everyday personnel and deputy - overall management can be slightly removed,
but fine. I would highly recommend.

Coombe is such a lovely place, being a first-time mum leaving her little one in the nursery, the team at Coombe made me feel very comfortable. The little one loves attending, the days are varied and they keep you up to date with activities via an online app - great for mums on the go! Would highly recommend,

I have had children at CDN (Coombe Day Nursery) for the last 6 years. I have to admit the convenience of Norbiton Station was my main draw. Both my boys have felt happy and loved at the nursery and my 6-year-old talks about the staff with great affection (he's obviously moved on now). My 3-year-old
is always happy playing when I collect him and frequently chats on the way home about something fun he did that day. I'm always delighted when I realise by his chat and actions what he's been learning.

A friendly, well run nursery with professional and happy staff.
The proximity to the train station makes it a very popular choice with working families, demand is very high.
Due to its urban location outside space is limited but the children regularly take trips to Richmond Park and town centre
etc...
All round a positive experience.
