Chestnut Avenue (Rated "Good" by OFSTED October 2022) is where the very first Chestnut Nursery School began in 2002, setting the foundation for the group’s long-standing commitment to excellence in early years education. Located in a friendly residential area, Chestnut Avenue offers a warm, welcoming environment that feels like a home away from home. The nursery provides a safe, secure space where children aged 0 to 3 years can explore, learn, and grow through play and discovery.

The setting includes well-resourced indoor rooms and a secure outdoor area, supporting both structured and free-flow learning. Children are encouraged to develop independence, confidence, and curiosity through a balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities.
Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Chestnut’s own core curriculum, the nursery supports children’s development across all key learning areas—nurturing each child’s unique interests, strengths, and needs.

When settling my daughter into the nursery I was slightly anxious as she's my little girl and thought I'd find it hard to let someone take care of my daughter while I was at work. I have never felt so happy and at ease to leave her at nursery knowing she is going to be well looked after the girls are
very friendly in the baby room and all management. I would highly recommend this nursery and wouldn't dream of taking her else where.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2017

I have completed a CACHE Level 5 diploma in Early Years senior practitioner. I have been working within childcare settings for over 8 years and have been with Chestnut Nursery Schools for over 5 years. Within this time with Chestnuts, I have been able to thrive within my career and achieve different roles, starting from nursery practitioner, room leader/third in charge, Deputy Manager and now Manager. I am passionate about working with children as I enjoy supporting children’s learning and development. I also help provide a safe and stimulating environment in which children can gain new, fun experiences and a variety of different learning opportunities.
