Chestnut Nursery School @ Chestnut Avenue

My son started at Chestnut nursery when he was 11 months old and we left when he was 15 months in March 2025 as we moved out of the area. He started doing 3 days a week and gradually built up to 5 days a week. He had an absolutely amazing experience at Chestnut and we were so sad to leave!

The settling in process was excellent, he immediately connected to the staff and was confident and happy when he arrived at nursery every morning, jumping into his key worker's arms! The staff are so friendly and attentive and they genuinely care and connect with each and every child in their care. It really feels like a family.

I felt very comfortable and confident leaving my son there every day and would definitely recommend Chestnut Avenue nursery to parents in the area.

Fantastic nursery, the staff are always happy and warm and very experienced too. They do so many activities with the children and always have a story to tell about the day at pick up about what my girl has been up to, or how she’s interacting with the other children. My little girl is really happy there!

This is my second time settling a child at Chestnut Nursery and I can’t fault them. It’s been a lovely experience watching my son happily exploring the rooms and seeing how friendly and attentive the staff are. They remember my older children and talk fondly of other kids they see in the area that they used to look after. It makes me feel like they enjoy their jobs and genuinely care for the children.

I have both my children attend Chestnut Nursery School @ Chestnut Avenue, my eldest attended from baby room throughout all the way to preschool. The staff looked after my daughter amazingly and she achieved alot from the environment and staff. I can't thank them enough. She currently is in yr 1 in school and she wouldn't be the confident young girl she is if it weren't for the fantastic learning and support given to her. Currently, my youngest is in the toddler room, she feels so loved by all the staff around her. They give her all the support and learning. The free flow in the toddler room gives her the independence of choice, she definitely has grown immensely in confidence as she was born in the pandemic she was lacking social skills. The whole Nursery has had a revamp and looks fab, especially the garden. The resources are great alot of different choices to build their development and challenge the children. This is my second child, who is currently at Chestnut Nursery Avenue. If I had a third, they also would go to Chestnut Nursery on Chestnut Avenue. My daughter, who is currently at Chestnut, absolutely loves it. Her day-to-day learning has improved so much from the day she joined. She goes in as a happy child and comes out as a happy child. Everything at the nursery is well organised. I get briefed at the end of every day when I pick up my child, and the pickup system and dropoff systems are so easy. Both my children have absolutely loved it, and as parents, my wife and I could not have had an easier experience and the daily notice of our children's improvement in communication and skills.

My daughter has been at Chestnut Nursery School since June 2022 and she absolutely loves it! We had some challenges initially with settling in and the staff and, in particular, her key worker went above and beyond to help ease the transition and since then she's just loved it there. We always get thorough in-person debriefs at the end of each day as well as real-time updates on meals and naps via the app. I've noticed major developments since she's joined, particularly in speech which is a testament to the effort they put into stimulating daily activities. It's so reassuring to know she's happy and getting all the support she needs and I'd recommend Chestnut to anyone.

Both of my children have attended Chestnut Nursery School @ Chestnut Avenue, my youngest is there currently. We have been really happy with the experience. All the staff are very kind and sensible. Our kids really enjoy their time there.

My child's first nursery, been in attendance since October. They have settled her in very well, staff are always friendly and my daughter seems very fond of her key person there. Good communication from nursery about my child's day, sleep, eating, play and development. I enjoy the updates and photos on the app for parents. My daughter always looks happy. I have noticed my child's development since starting nursery.

My son started at Chestnut Nursery School @ Chestnut Avenue in October 2022. Right from the very first day, the staff have been so lovely. Even though it was hard to return to work after maternity leave, I always felt happy that my son was getting all the love and attention he needed from the staff at Chestnut Avenue. If he was ever upset at drop off, someone would always be at the door offering him all the comfort and cuddles he needed. He also gets lots of stimulation with messy play and games, I know that he has a ball and he's made loads of friends. I've honestly never had any concerns and I'm 100% confident that I'm giving my son a fantastic start in life by sending him to Chestnut Avenue.

My daughter has been at Chestnut Nursery School for over a year now. She loves it there and the staff from both the baby and toddler rooms are always attentive, professional, loving and considerate. I haven't spent much time inside the building but when I looked around it was very well organised, clean and a stimulating environment for the children.

Very happy with Chestnut Nursery School @ Chestnut Avenue. My eldest attended here and now my second child. With the second child, things feel really good - the space was given a makeover, the toys improved and felt cleaner. The baby room particularly became such a lovely space. The staff really seem to care for my child and pay attention to who she is and how she is developing. My mark down on the outside space is simply because it is small but the garden itself has still been nicely done. Overall, this has been a really happy experience having both children at Chestnut.

Our daughter started in the baby room at Chestnut when she was one and has now been there for 1,5 years.

The staff have always been extremely loving and caring. They are attentive to the parents' wishes, e.g. not using the dummy other than for naps (and eventually not at all), potty training etc. A great deal of effort goes into various activities for the kids, there is messy play, outdoor play and day trips.

It's a great nursery for little ones. The manager is responsive, committed and an inspiration to her staff.

Both my daughters have been to Chestnut Nursery School @ Chestnut Avenue so we have lots of experience with them as a provider. They are incredibly kind and the nursery environment is always full of laughter and play. My little girl is 2 and currently there 4 days and she loves attending. The staff go out of their way to engage the family as well as the child and they are always available if you need to discuss anything with them. I tell all my friends about Chestnut! Thank you for the care you have given to us.

Our daughter has been going to Chestnut for four months or so now. She's settled in really well, she loves going and the staff seem to genuinely care for her, they're so loving towards her and look after her brilliantly. I think the activities the staff have done with her have really accelerated her development and her self-confidence. It's great that the kids get to go and play outside and that there's also loads to do inside if the weather isn't great.

I could not be happier with Chestnut. The staff are incredible and the level of care is exceptional. It feels like a family and my Son loves it.

My daughter has been at Chestnut for a year now. From my initial like of the ‘feel’ of the nursery, now I know it better, I really appreciate the genuine care and kindness the team there have for my daughter and the time they take to develop her skills and embrace her individuality. I have nothing but praise for the staff there. My daughter has benefitted hugely from the nursery routines and I have enjoyed attending the extra-curricular Xmas, Halloween and Easter parties and receiving the constructive feedback following her assessment at our first parents morning.

My daughter had been in Chestnut Nursery School since she was 10 months old. I was worried at first as she was so young but the care she was given and still receiving is excellent. The workers are all brilliant I have no worries with my child when she is there as I know she is in safe hands.

My daughter started Chestnut Avenue in September 2019, and I am so very pleased with the care that she receives. When I collect her from nursery she is always happy and engaged in an activity. The team are really friendly and welcoming and she has great bonds with all of the staff, they pay attention to detail and make my daughter feel very special.

My toddler has been attending the nursery for about 2 months and he absolutely loves it. His key workers are so warm and lovely and I’ve felt confident leaving him there knowing that he’s going to have a fun day and be happy and stimulated by the end of it.

Amazing nursery, our son absolutely loves it. All of the staff are really friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more.
