Chestnut Tree Day Nursery

My daughter started nursery in May 2022 and she absolutely loves it! We get so many updates throughout the day so I always know what she’s been doing. When we mention “nursery” at home my daughter insists on looking through the photos of herself on the app and laughs away to herself so I know she is very happy. The staff are lovely and very approachable, always doing different activities with the children. Very glad we went with chestnut tree!

Our daughter started with Chestnut Tree Day Nursery three months ago and she loves it! As our first child, we didn't know what to expect from a nursery but the staff have been nothing but welcoming to us and to our baby especially. The amount of activities they do with her is brilliant - she is always bringing home pictures and paintings and knows all of the actions to the nursery rhymes. Would definitely recommend them.

My little one actually squeals when she sees where we are going in the morning, and you can't ask for more reassurance than that!

I’m so glad I chose Chestnut Tree Day Nursery for my daughter, she’s been here now for nearly three months and she has settled down so well, I’m really pleased with her progress, the staff are brilliant with her.

Overall, I love leaving my daughter in the fabulous care of the nursery for the day and she always comes home smiling and happy and well-fed.

If you are nervous to get your little one started at a nursery, do yourself and themselves a favour and sign them up in the Chestnut Tree nursery, because the staff are absolutely amazing. I can see teachers holding and soothing kids on a daily basis so you can be sure that if your little one is upset, they will be physically held by a teacher and soothed.

My son has been attending this nursery for over two years now and he loves it, he is always happy to go in and very happy when I pick him up too! Very supportive and understanding staff members and great management now too

We absolutely love this nursery! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they're always smiling! Both my sons are attending here and are so happy from the minute they get in. They enjoy the activities and food. My 2 year old loves the snacks and lunches they provide. Thank you so so much for the kindness and for always going the extra mile. The manager has always been so understanding when I've had personal issues and supported us in any way possible. I would highly recommend this nursery after trying many others. My daughter has been attending this nursery since August 2022 and is in the baby room. From the moment I came to view it, I felt the warmth that radiates from this nursery. One member of staff is great, and you can see how much she cares for the children; she is always there if you have any queries or concerns and will always act on anything you ask for care-wise. My daughter's key person is lovely and caring, and I can see my daughter has a good relationship with her. There are also other staff members I see that are always friendly and helpful. The staff are a good reflection of the management and the company itself. I love the app, as I can see what she's up to all day, which is lovely. So happy my daughter is happy, and I would highly recommend this nursery.

Since December the nursery has been without a manager. This high staff turnover, likely due to the stressful staff-to-children ratio, is a major concern which is not mainly due to the current staffing issues with early years. The council is aware of issues but nothing has changed. I hope this will prompt Ofsted to take action to safeguard the children.

Dad and I have absolute faith and confidence that our daughter is safe and very happy at Chestnut Tree Day Nursery and are so grateful to all of the staff there for all their ongoing love and care.

Our son has been going to this nursery for just under a year, he is in Tinies and attends 3 days a week and loves it. All the staff at the nursery are great, they make an effort to know all the children's names and parents even those that are not in their classes. Our son's development has come on so much in such a short amount of time, thanks to his room leader and all the wonderful staff he interacts with on a daily basis. We get daily updates and photos which really does give you peace of mind.

Such a lovely nursery, that has lovely, friendly staff. My daughter loves going, has made lots of friends and has learnt so much in a small amount of time. Always coming home covered in paint and glue! Would highly recommend.

My daughter has been attending full time since January when she was 14 months. She had difficulty previously settling with a childminder and I was very worried about how she would cope. The staff at Chestnut Tree Day Nursery were amazing, especially the manager, deputy and baby room staff. They were so nurturing with her that after a week she was leaning out for them to take her and waving me off. I receive pictures throughout the day showing what she’s doing, and daily knowledgeable updates from the staff. She loves being at nursery and is so excited when she knows that’s where she’s going. The staff are what makes this nursery a truly fun and happy place, the care that is shown is above and beyond what I could have hoped for.

My daughter has settled in very well and loves all the staff. She has come a long way already. She is 2 and a bit delayed and possibly autistic and the nursery has been nothing but accommodating for her. They work closely with her and I have noticed she is picking a few things up. She doesn’t usually play with other children but she has just started to join in with the other children in her room. She is also a fussy eater but has started to try all different types of food when at nursery which is great! We are definitely going to apply for her to go up to the preschool room when she turns 3 as we all love it there! She has grown very close to one of the staff members in particular and I love seeing their bond when I pick her up!

I was very nervous at first while settling down my 15-months-old child after the second lockdown because she hasn't seen anyone other than dad and granny. The staff took really good care of her, and she settled quite well. Even though she attends only twice a day, she has learnt so many things, and more importantly, she doesn't cry when she sees strangers anymore. I can see she is more interactive and improved on her gesture. The nursery also provides emergency childcare session, which is very handy for me as I don't need to worry about finding another place or friends or family to look after my child in case I need to leave her on a day other than her usual days.

My daughter has been very happy at The Chestnut. The staff are kind and caring. She is doing well in the preschool room, learning her numbers and letters so quickly, getting her prepared for primary school.

My daughter joined the nursery in April 2019 and started in the baby room; she was just over 12-months.

Since joining the nursery, her development has been so impressive, from learning to use cutlery to eat independently to the development of her speech. The Chestnut Tree Day Nursery has helped her to reach and exceed her developmental milestones.

Staff are friendly and approachable, and any concerns are dealt with promptly. I would definitely and I have recommended this nursery to numerous friends with young children.

Both my children have attended Chestnut Tree from 9-months and 10-months. One has since left to go to primary school, and my youngest is currently there. As a family, we have been using this nursery for 5-years and have always been very happy with the standard of care and learning our children have received. My youngest is thriving, and feel he has become well prepared for primary school admission in September 2021 thanks to the nursery and its staff. My sons first words to me on collecting him at the end of the day are always ‘I had fun!’. We’re so pleased to have sent our children here and can highly recommend it to anyone considering it for their children.

My son joined the nursery in April 2021. I was extremely nervous as he is my first child, and we haven’t been separated since he was born. I needn't have worried because the team are amazing, caring and considerate; they are fantastic with my boy and put me at ease. The manager has always been organised and helpful with any queries that we have, responding in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend them.
