Chingford House Nursery is based in a beautiful terraced house in a popular residential area, close to schools in Chingford.

The owner and manager have over 50 years combined early years’ experience and they lead an extraordinary team of compassionate and dedicated early years practitioners.

The nursery strongly believes that children need warm and affectionate relationships to support their emotional well-being and the nursery's key person approach is key to achieving this.

CHN has discovered the ideal balance between children learning through play and providing a more structured learning environment as the nursery prepares children for school. The room leaders support children with their reading, writing and phonics.

CHN complements its educational programme with extra-curricular activities such as Forest school.

CHN takes children from 6 months to 5 years.

My daughter currently attends CHN, and I have an older child who transitioned to school last year. My experience of the nursery with both of my children has been excellent. All of the staff are kind, considerate, and passionate about childcare. They are led by very professional and experienced management.
My children have thrived in the caring, fun, and safe environment created by the team. Highly recommended!

Enrolling our son here was the right choice for his early education and care. Communication at the nursery is exceptional. Fantastic nursery. The staff were very supportive of my child's needs. The communications were excellent and they would accommodate any additional requests. Helped my daughter with her potty training and getting her ready to start primary school. Different activities every day to help her grow and develop.
She was so happy here, a home away from home.

Friendly staff, shown love and care to my child. My child is in Sunflowers and loved it every day when we send her to nursery. It's a pity we are leaving this nursery due to work reasons, we will miss all the wonderful staff here.

My son has attended Chingford House Nursery for over a year. The class sizes are small so he has a great connection with the staff and other kids and it feels like his learning is progressing really well. It means he has moved rooms a couple of times to keep in his age group, but each time there has
been a transition period, and when I asked if he could move early to stay with friends, they did as soon as they were able to. The staff in every room are wonderful and my son is always excited to see his key worker and to tell me what he's done at nursery that day which seems to be quite varied. They also seem to spend lots of time in their garden/outdoor play area. Chingford House Nursery staff feel so much warmer and more caring than other nurseries we went to see when deciding. My son is very happy here!

Couldn't be happier. Great, attentive staff that work with your needs for my daughter. She's been there since she was 9 months and is now 1 year. She actively smiles and points at the door when I drop her off. We, as a family, are really happy with her progress. She eats well and has now started walking.
The staff are really encouraging when she shows an interest in things like the walking. They were also really good in working with us when achieving her nap at a good time of day for her.

We are very happy with the care that our daughter receives, we think the staff do an amazing job and feel they genuinely care for our children. Our son started at Chingford House Nursery in March this year. We chose the nursery above others as on our first visit the duty of care and attention the nursery showed to our boy was far more attentive than the more clinical experience we had with others. We know that they had his best interest at

My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the staff at this nursery. It was really hard to choose the right place to send my then 9 month old, but everyone was really supportive and reassuring. Our daughter has settled in really well at Chingford house and we have seen her development excel since joining. The staff are completely on point and so lovely. Even if a staff member isn’t your child’s “key person” they are very much in the know and fill you in with your exactly how the day went from
what they ate to any other important info. The nursery management provides updates via email newsletters which feel like they’ve had time put into them rather than just fancy marketing emails. We love the events they put on such as sports days, Easter parades, etc. Looking forward to seeing how our daughter continues to develop during her time at the nursery.

My son really enjoys his time at nursery and is full of enthusiasm for all the activities the nursery offers. He has particularly enjoyed the forest school outings and other little trips his class have been able to take part in recently. He has a great relationship with his key person, who is wonderful,
but is also confident in his relationships with other staff members, all of whom are caring and considerate. I've been particularly impressed this year with the effort made to ensure our son is 'school ready.' The nursery has a very friendly and nurturing atmosphere, and I would highly recommend it.

When I went to see the nursery the staff were really helpful and friendly, I wanted my kids to attend there and didn't look at any other nursery.
We really appreciate the efforts they put in when teaching. My kids didn't know any English when they started, it's only been two months and now my son speaks
more English than we expected. He was a hard kid to settle but they have done a great job. Both my kids love going to school now thanks to the staff.

My son settled in very well here and has formed great relationships with peers and staff. From teary mornings to now happily walking into the nursery, he is enjoying himself. The staff are great and manage to put him to sleep so easily, something I still struggle with! Overall, very satisfied with his

I recently had the opportunity to visit Chingford House School to look at my son's artwork and catch up with his key person. It was wonderful to have him show me around his lovely learning environment so enthusiastically. We had the opportunity to talk about what the children have been doing recently

My daughter attended the nursery for more than four years. She made outstanding progress. The staff are very professional and caring. The level of care and communication was really good. My daughter loved going to the nursery every day and is now ready for school. She is able to read simple words and

All the staff are so caring and find so many creative ways to teach the children about the world.
The nursery is a lovely community, all the children know each other and love spending time together. Chingford House School has cared for our two kids from being babies to pre-school and we couldn't have
hoped for a better start for them. We will miss them all terribly!
