Bright Horizons West Hampstead Day Nursery and Preschool

As a family who has been part of this nursery community for over a year, starting when our child was just 10 months old, the experience has been truly special. The team consistently makes our child feel safe, happy, and excited for each day, nurturing their development with genuine care and attention. We've witnessed thoughtful communication, a warm learning environment, and a staff that goes above and beyond in supporting both children and parents-giving us the confidence and comfort that our child is thriving in the very best environment.

There is a lot of choice for activities, they respect the routine of the child and they publish pictures every day about meals, activities!

The staff at the nursery is amazing. Our little one has learnt so much since she has joined. Her smile when being dropped in the morning says it all! This is a great and safe environment for babies to develop.

Our son has been at the nursery for three months now. After a bad experience at a previous nursery, the team at Bright Horizons West Hampstead Day Nursery and Preschool has done everything possible to help him settle. He is very happy at the nursery and the staff make a real effort to adapt to his needs and support his development. There is a positive atmosphere and all the staff and managers are good at communicating; we receive feedback every day.

Our son has been going to this nursery now for three months and we are very happy. They take really good care of each child and especially of our son. He settled in very well and we can see that he is happier and happier there with every week and also likes the food there by eating everything he gets. All staff are very friendly and professional and enjoy their work. The nursery itself is bright and clean and well-equipped with everything children need. And their garden at the back with four playgrounds is a dream! Updates come via the app every day, including a lot of photographs. Thank you for looking after our son so well!

The team create such a lovely, warm, caring, encouraging and enriching environment for the children. The facilities are a little bit tired but that makes no difference to the kids. My child is 18 months, he has developed a very sweet bond with several of the toddler staff and everyone seems to know him including the staff who work in other rooms. We get lots of updates and are notified very quickly whenever there is a little accident/incident (so far nothing close to major).

My 2 children go to West Hampstead Day Nursery and Preschool and they are always welcomed with kindness, I know that they are doing a difficult job but sometimes they overcome the difficulties by making patience sometimes fun. On this occasion, I would like to express my deepest thanks to all the staff who help us in this regard.

My baby (8 months old) is currently in the baby room. I can't recommend this nursery enough. The whole staff is extremely professional, very dedicated and always keen to work with us parents to achieve the best outcome for the baby. The facilities are great, lovely, bright and have a big space indoors and an amazing outdoor area where babies go regularly. Thanks to daily themed activities, the babies are encouraged to learn new skills and feelings, and thanks to the regular updates on the app, I feel like I can still see how my baby is doing even if I am at work.

The preschool gardens are large, allowing much-needed outdoor activities for the children. The staff is committed to their overall development. Lots of playful learning and life lessons. My daughter being an only child has developed strong people skills and independence. I am a fan of this set-up!

After having experienced a multitude of different nurseries I must say that this is the best one. The management and staff are well engaged and genuinely care about the children, they openly listen to feedback from parents and help to work through any concerns or challenges that inevitably arise. There is a strong family feel and sense of community which I love. There are lots of different activities which also thoughtfully reflect the diversity of the children which is very important to core values of tolerance and awareness of other cultures. My one suggestion would be to improve the breakfast offerings to offer fruit rather than just cereal and toast. My child is very happy to be there which is reassuring.

Since my son has been at the nursery it's been nothing but smiles and positive feedback. The milestones he reaches is incredible and his vocabulary has gone from strength to strength. There is much to thank but overall we're delighted with his progress and cannot wait to see his development in the coming months. Huge thank you to everyone for their great management of the nursery and always giving my son along with the other children the warmest welcome in the mornings.

Can’t be happier with my daughter at this nursery. Daughter comes back home so happy with lots of new learnings. I choose this nursery on top of many others because of the family feeling I had when I visited and we’re happy to say after nearly a year at the nursery we weren’t wrong: the staff is warm, goes above and beyond to help with any challenges the child is facing and put lots of efforts in creative activities every day, communication is great, hygiene is great too. Would highly recommend this nursery.

My two children joined this nursery not long after the pandemic had started, and during a very hectic and unsettling time for our family. The staff were simply wonderful in helping the boys to settle in and they have come home beaming every single day since. The communication from the nursery is excellent and all staff are extremely friendly and helpful and all dedicated to the development and happiness of the children. I really couldn’t have asked for a better nursery for my boys and we will all be very sad when the time comes to leave to start school. It’s a big happy family there.

This is an amazing nursery. Caring, loving and nurturing environment. Lovely staff, some of whom have been there for many years offering stability and continuity. I have sent two kids to it - my older one is still fond of his time there although he's already at school. My younger one loves it and skips and runs to his carers, asking if she can go on weekends.

I could not be happier sending my 15-month-old to this nursery. She comes back clean and happy with a folder full of art activities. The carers leave me detailed feedback about her day, and my daughter runs to her key worker. In the mornings, (even weekends), my little girl drags her nursery bag to the door.

The team is high energy always smiling. I'm sure that translates into a warm and friendly experience for the children.

Our son is learning a lot thanks to the diverse and engaging activities at the nursery. I could not recommend it more highly.

We are so pleased with the nursery. We have two children attending (Baby Room/Preschool). The management of the nursery is excellent, something we really value, especially in the last 9 months with the pandemic. Communication with parents is very good. We have felt really safe. Management works hard to know the families and kids, and they really care about their development. The level of care in the Baby Room is exceptional. Our daughter is so happy there. There is more one-on-one time with her key worker than I originally had expected, and her development is progressing so quickly with all the activities, songs and crafts they do. My son loves preschool. He is always exhausted at the end of the day from all of the activities, including a lot of time outside in the large garden. The kids are sufficiently pushed academically as well, with regular writing and maths lessons. Would highly recommend!

Cannot say enough positive things!

I couldn't ask for any more from a nursery. The manager, along with all of the staff, have created a warm and loving environment that the children feel safe in. Both my children joined when they were around a year old and have thrived in an environment that is filled with fun and giggles, where each child is an individual and where they are surrounded by people who love and care about them. The nursery has become part of our extended family.
