My daughter attended the nursery from being 14 months old to 2 years and 10 months old. Once she started there, her development accelerated and she has surprised us many times with how much she had learned and continued to thrive throughout her time there. She always enjoyed attending the nursery, she
would happily go in each morning and come out with a smile at the end of the day. This was very reassuring for us as parents, especially as she started there in the early days of covid and we couldn't go inside with her. The activities they do are well thought out and ensure the children are exposed to a variety of learning, including about different cultures. The toys are clean and well kept and there is a sweet garden that they play in. The staff were always friendly and built genuine relationships with the children. I would recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a safe and happy environment for their child.

Our child started at Bright Horizons Spitalfields when he was 6 months old and we cannot recommend the nursery enough. The manager and her team have done a wonderful job settling our child in and helping him with his development through the various stages. The communication is excellent and we have
always been able to speak to the team when needed. He is now 2 years old and sadly will be leaving the nursery, but we will always be grateful to Bright Horizons for keeping our child happy, healthy and supported.

From the first visit, we were extremely impressed by the peaceful atmosphere and the lack of shouting compared to other nurseries we had seen.
Our son had an amazing time there, and despite spending only around a year up till school age made tremendous progress on all fronts. While he barely spoke
and only in our native language prior to joining, one year later he makes full complex sentences in English. Once there he made a lot of progress on all areas of his development, but also had a very good time and was eager to go there in the morning.
The staff has been nothing short of great with him and we’re very involved with him, but also provided us very regular feedback and advice to address areas of development.
Overall we were very happy with this nursery and are recommending it to every one of our friends.

I have two kids attending Bright Horizons Spitalfields. I have been amazed by the care provided. Both of my kids are extremely happy to go to nursery, they have bonded extremely well with their carers. I have seen great behaviour and intellectual developments. In Covid times, the communication remained
opened and frequent which made us feel still very connected to our kids and the nursery.

The staff at this nursery are fantastic. I feel very safe leaving my daughter there. She gets excellent care and clear tracking of goals around her interaction with others, communication, motor skills. She genuinely seems to have fun and comes back at the end of the day surprising us with something
she has learned even if she is only 18 months.
Staff are polite, enthusiastic, and have made a lot of efforts to fill the gap in our nursery experience which has been left by not being allowed physically into the nursery as a parent. Whilst this is normal for me (my child started post-pandemic) I still appreciate the effort very much. We get reports on her learning and pictures which are either scanned or emailed on a regular basis so we feel like we are missing out a little less.
Garden is not the biggest compared to other nurseries in the area, but from what I can tell this does not stop the kids from having fun.
Very happy. Would highly recommend.

My son started full time at the nursery at 8.5 months old and left last week as we moved out of the area. I was extremely impressed by the nursery, from my initial correspondence with the manager to the settling in period to the end of his time there. I really felt the staff genuinely cared about my
son, and he flourished in the time he was there in terms of his development. I found the communication from the team excellent, and would highly recommend the nursery to other parents. Unfortunately, because he joined in September when covid restrictions were in place, I was never able to physically enter the nursery, so I can't comment on the facilities.

I have found Bright Horizons at Spitalfields a good place for my daughter to spend good quality time, learn and play with very nice and qualified members of staff. She has been in the baby room for 3 months before she moved into the toddler room.
The staff worked hard and patiently to help my daughter
settle and start to enjoy her time at nursery.
I have also noticed that my daughter learns new things which she brings back home and this reassured me that she is in the right place.
All staff are lovely and professional and the manager is a diligent and professional individual.

Our son has attended Bright Horizons Spitalfields for nearly three years. We selected the nursery because of the happy atmosphere amongst both staff and children. Our son has been cared for, encouraged to be himself and listened to throughout his time there (as have we!). The staff do all they can to
engage the children, develop their curiosity and help them develop into kind, thoughtful little people. We have been extremely impressed with the way the team has managed coronavirus and we trust that our son is safe in their care.

Our daughter has been full time at Bright Horizons Spitalfields since she was nine months old. She has recently moved to the toddler room after spending over a year in the baby room. The staff are very competent and ably led the location manager. They have always been open to discourse and try to work
with the parents when asked eg Potty training. The nursery is small enough that she knows all the staff. She always comes home happy and tired from a full day of diverse activities and we are very happy with her development there. Feedback can sometimes be erratic but never over important things and never due to a lack of carrying out enthusiasm. They have been professional during lockdown and have never cut corners of put our daughter at risk.

Our daughter has attended Bright Horizons for 3 years and we only have good memories from her time there. The quality of care is exceptional and the facilities are great. Our daughter has learnt so much throughout her time there, she still talks fondly about nursery and everybody that works there. My
daughter has also built friendships which I hope will last despite her moving to big school! I highly recommend Bright Horizons!!

My son is temporarily at Bright Horizons Spitalfields whilst we wait for his normal nursery to reopen after lockdown.
The staff at Spitalfields are great. I had concerns as we hadn’t seen the nursery or met the staff but they went out of their way to reassure us as parents and to make our son feel
welcome. Within a few days he was happily talking about “new nursery” and “new friends”. He is really benefiting from interaction with other adults and children after being in lockdown.
I fully understand why it is Ofsted Outstanding, they have handled all of the new guidelines very well and with minimal disruption to the children or parents.
We have moved a few times so our son has tried a couple of different nurseries and this one is very well managed. If the location of the other nursery wasn’t so good for us we would have stayed at Spitalfields.
Thanks to the Spitalfields team for all your help during this difficult period!

This is a nursery with very happy children which is all down to the staff and management. My child absolutely adored the staff. Generally a very positive atmosphere for learning and most importantly safe. A great mix of nationalities as well. I would highly recommend the nursery for anyone considering
a place for a baby, toddler or pre-schooler.

Our 2.5-year-old son loves nursery - from putting in the door code to saying hello to all of the teachers to hanging his coat on his peg. He has learned polite manners and independence and great verbal communication from interacting with the children and staff at Bright Horizons. He truly loves going
to see all of the staff and team!

We were absolutely gutted to have to leave Bright Horizons Spitalfields (we've moved house). Our son had the best experience there. The staff were so kind and caring. It felt like every day he came home he had learned something new, they were so committed to his development. He was there from 10 months
old and I would absolutely recommend them as a place to send your child.

My son was in this Nursery for only a few months, before we had to move.
From Day 1, they cared, loved and taught him so much.
He thrived there.
We always felt welcome and I always knew he was in the best of hands. The safest of hands.
And while the fees are very expensive, you are paying for excellence.

Thank

I cannot recommend the Spitalfields nursery highly enough. My child has grown from a little baby into a confident toddler over the years, so has met with most of the competent, caring and friendly staff.
They know each child's strengths and weaknesses, provide solid advice or make recommendations,
they pick up on small things (that may turn into bigger issues), always have an open ear (even during stressful times) and they are personable and sincere.
Food and beverage is excellent, with a dedicated chef on site who knows the children and their requirements.
Management is well organised, supporting parents and children alike, communicating efficiently and keeps every tiny detail on the radar.

I rate the facilities slightly lower as I have seen bigger, refurbished nurseries, with more high-end equipment and new furniture.
However, the space is charming overall and has what is needed for the kids; as long as my child feels safe and happy there, I am too.

Spitalfields is a great nursery with strong management despite recent change. My 4-year-old has attended since the age of 10 months and my second child has also just started in baby room.
The level of care is great, especially settling my younger child, together with excellent development opportunities
for my 4-year-old to stand her in good stead for school in September.
Thank you to all at Spitalfields Day Nursery.

My son (21 months) attends the nursery and completely feels at home there. The staff really do look after the children as if they were their own. They do truly work on the basis of ‘in loco parentis’ – with the absolute best interests of each and every child at the heart of everything they do, just
as a parent would do for his or her own child. That is why the children are so happy and secure; so too the parents. It is such a happy, stimulating and caring place and I know we will always look back on this time with lovely memories.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.816)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.816) out of 10 for Bright Horizons Spitalfields Day Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 17 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.891 for Bright Horizons Spitalfields Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (181 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 202 Ratings = 4.891
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.925 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Spitalfields Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.925
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 number of registered child places is 10, which has been reached with 17 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
