Little Garden The Hammersmith Day Nursery & Pre-School

My son has been attending Little Gardens for just over a year now. I was incredibly impressed by all the measures they have put in place during the COVID crisis. They have ensured that the children are happy and safe. I have always been very happy with the nursery, often I have been very reassured by their care, the management is incredible and I have often spoken to them about my son and they know everything about him even though there are so many children. There is a wonderfully kind and personal touch to the nursery which you often do not expect but very much want in London. Our second child is due in August and I wouldn't send them anywhere else!

We couldn’t be happier with Little Garden Hammersmith. The manager manages a wonderful team and we’re so grateful for how well they care for our 13-month-old daughter. Having been attending nursery for four months before having three months at home with us as a result of lockdown, we were a little apprehensive about how our daughter would settle back in. The nursery team have been thoughtful and careful with their return plans and our daughter seems to love nursery more than ever. She’s developing quickly, making friends and goes to nursery very happily every morning. We couldn’t ask for more. Thank you.

Most importantly though is the kindness of the nursery staff and the fun that they bring into her life, and that’s obvious every day with how much she clearly loves everyone there.

I can’t recommend this nursery enough! The staff are amazing and all clearly share a passion for children and their development. They are kind, caring, patient and loving towards the children and it is always a happy place for the children to be. The facilities are excellent as are the food options daily and extracurricular activities.

Having relocated from Amsterdam at the end of 2019, we were concerned about how our three-year-old daughter would adjust to life in London, especially with regard to a new nursery. The team at Little Garden have been nothing short of fantastic in helping her settle quickly and making her feel comfortable. It's clear that she has had a great time when we collect her and her development is noticeable. She came home counting to ten in Spanish recently. The team at Little Garden have also been excellent in their communication during the time of lockdown and Covid-19. They have kept us up to date with information on re-opening and have clearly explained the steps that they have taken to make sure the nursery is as safe as it can be for the children to attend. As parents, they have made us feel very comfortable during these uncertain times. They arranged Zoom calls to stay in touch with the children and sent through various activity ideas while the nursery was closed, which were helpful.

Our son has been going to this nursery for a year and a half so we have experience with both little buds and little climbers classes and we are very happy so far. His development from a little baby to an independent toddler has been amazing thanks to many things he learned here (e.g eating with cutlery). The staff is very friendly, approachable and yet very professional when it comes to educating kids and giving feedback on their development. The food is freshly prepared every day and our son loves it. It is a great advantage that they have an outdoor garden with a lot of activities where kids can spend time even in the bad weather. I also like that they take kids outside of the premises, e.g going to a library, park, Christmas grotto etc and let them learn by an experience.

Will definitely recommend this nursery as it is a very good value for the money!

My husband and I love this nursery, so much so that both our son and daughter attend it. Since moving our son here from another nursery, we have seen the significant difference in care and high quality of staff. The menu is very healthy and nutritious. We have been particularly impressed by the new manager and certain staff members in particular who have really nurtured our children. There are plenty of wonderful activities including sport and Spanish lessons and the garden area is lovingly maintained and very spacious for an inner city nursery. Thank you so much Little Garden Nursery.

I would like to give a special thanks to the nursery manager. She will really be missed. She is the reason why my son joined the nursery. She has been very welcoming, always smiling, always a kind word to say and always available to discuss my son’s development. I wish her a quick recovery and hope the new manager will meet her professionalism and continued commitment.

We are so, so pleased with this nursery and can't recommend it highly enough! Fantastic staff (all of them), excellent facilities (outdoor play area is perfect and the kids are there all the time), brilliant learning activities (changing regularly), great food (I'd 100% eat myself!) and our daughter doesn't want to leave when we come to pick her up! Very, very happy with everything. Thanks again to all the staff for making a big part of our lives so amazing!!

The experience my son and I have had with this nursery has been of a positive nature and I hope that it continues.

The staff and the manager always make time to chat to me when I pick up and drop off my son - updating me on anything that has happened, be it how much food my son has eaten to what new skill he has developed. In addition, it's great to see how hands on the manager is with all the kids during the day and during nap time!

My son has developed verbally in leaps and bounds and as I said above, I hope it continues!

This used to be a fantastic nursery, it really really did. Since April the staff turn around is almost monthly and it has had a considerable impact on the children’s stability. Children are resilient but nothing can prepare them for having a new key worker every 2/3 weeks. I’m really happy that my son has just completed his last day and we’re lucky enough to have found an alternative.

We have only been here a few months but are noticing some changes and improvements in this time. It is great to see the manager being active across all the roles and tasks. If I was to make a suggestion it would be that communication between morning and afternoon staff could be improved on hand over. I would like to see an investment on CCTV especially given the cost of the childcare here. In all, we are happy here.

The nursery has undergone significant changes. None of the staff including the manager have been there more than 6 months. It is not the same homely and nurturing environment it used to be. New staff, constant changes is unsettling for the kids. Changes started earlier on this year, so I thought I would give it time but it is still the same. Really sad to see how much the quality of care has deteriorated.

Since joining in October 2017, my son has grown to love spending time at nursery. The team are welcoming and easy to speak to - taking away much of the apprehension for both parent and child. He has developed a brilliant bond with his dedicated keyworker and is thriving in the nursery's warm and inclusive environment. Really happy with the whole experience so far and would recommend this nursery.

My daughter started going to this nursery at 7 months. At the beginning, I was very scared to send her to nursery at such a young age however the staff were so helpful and encouraging and the way they looked after my daughter so well and showed her love and attention made me very comfortable to leave her at the nursery whilst studying. The nursery has surpassed my expectations by far! My daughter is always so happy to go to nursery and play with the children and her amazing and caring key worker. I highly recommend this nursery 10/10 !

I have been thrilled with my experience here. They met and exceeded my expectations. Some of the things I am particularly happy with are the staff, curriculum, and nutrition. The staff are welcoming and loving. I feel like they truly care for my little one. Always excited to see her and report to me how she was throughout the day.

I appreciate that even though they are working with toddlers they have a curriculum work to teach not only ABC's but manners as well. My daughter pretty much only eats veggies when she is here--since she won't eat them for me. There is a good variety of food and presented family style. Most important my daughter has been very happy here.

The French class is a bonus too!

The staff and the manager are lovely and hyper friendly; so easy to talk to. I always appreciated the feedback about my daughter at the end of the day. They have been human and very flexible with us as parents, thank you so much!

My daughter enjoyed going to this nursery a lot. I loved her progress there.

I have been bringing my child to nursery for 2 weeks. He is settling so well with the team. I was anxious, most mothers are but my experience has been so reassuring. The key worker is so knowledgeable and caring. She works well with the rest of the nursery team to provide excellent structure, attention and care. I think the manager is very professional and perfect for this business. My child has had some issues with sleep and food but these ladies have got her through it with love, structure and support.
