Little Garden The Hammersmith Day Nursery & Pre-School

We have had two daughters at The Hammersmith Nursery, both of whom have flourished within it. The activities are varied and stimulating, we get a lot of detail on their progress and daily activities and they have a wonderful bond with the nursery staff. Compared to other nurseries, staff turnover is noticeably lower and there is a very stable management. Furthermore, the management has gone to some lengths to provide male members of staff, which is very important. The team is dedicated and manage and respond to feedback well. The nursery's relatively long opening hours (0730 - 1830) are a real help for working parents. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Hammersmith Nursery.

My daughter started in September 2021, we hadn’t been into the nursery to visit because of COVID and had just signed her up on a recommendation. I am a nursery teacher myself (potentially a tough client!) and we couldn’t be happier with how she has settled in, the activities and opportunities she has, the friendly staff and the garden time. Since her first day (11 months old) she has always been happy going in and coming out of Nursery. She loves the food too!

My son has been attending this nursery since he was 10 months old and he is now 3 and a half years old. He is very happy there and so excited to go in every day. He is very fond of the staff who all come across very caring and lovely. Good activities every day which are shared with parents through an app with pictures, this has been a godsend during the pandemic where we are unable to enter due to health and safety. Keep up the good work Hammersmith Day Nursery.

The nursery does a great job updating us and we absolutely love the app which provides daily updates and photographs on our son's activities, eating, etc. We would highly recommend the nursery!

The team is great and loves the children. The outside area is a plus since I know they go out every day to enjoy the fresh air.

2020 has been manageable for us, as a family, thanks to the nursery team. They were great supporting us when our sons were and were not attending the nursery. Most importantly, they’ve never realised how bad the situation was. Thanks to everything the manager and the team have put in place to provide them a safe and "normal" nursery. We realise the sacrifices and risks they have taken to be able to look after our children and we are very grateful for this.

Our little girl started at the nursery nearly a year ago when she was 12 months old. Like most children, it took her a few days to adapt to the new surroundings and people, but thanks to her key care givers' attention and care, she's really fallen in love with Little Gardens. She's excited to go in every morning and comes home each afternoon eager to relate her day to us (never mind that the language she uses is her own!). As parents, we really appreciate the app that allows us to read about her daily activities, skills development, and even her daily eating/sleeping/nappy habits! The team is so caring and their creativity with the children has no boundaries; yoga, Spanish classes, sign language, etc. The team at LG has been wonderfully responsive and accommodating, which has certainly been welcome during this year of lockdowns. I'm happy to give a wonderfully positive review and have recommended this nursery to every parent in search of one.

Firstly, big thanks to all the teachers and staff at the nursery. We have had kids at the nursery since 2017 and we are very happy with the support provided. Our daughter is happy going in and loves her friends and teachers. It has been a stressful year for all but the nursery has done a great job managing that. Our daughter is learning so much, it is pretty remarkable. The play ball, the Spanish songs, the relaxing breathing, playing in the garden, pet snails and chicks are all great but the most important thing is the love and kindness of the staff.

We are so happy with this nursery, our son has been there for twelve months now after we switched him from another nursery where, among other things, we were frustrated with how little time he was spending outside. Our son loves both indoor and outdoor play, which he now gets a lot of and he gets to take part in many different stimulating and creative activities. The staff are clearly devoted and well-trained to provide our children with a well-balanced and happy early years development experience. We also really appreciate the daily pictures and updates we receive about how his day has gone. He seems to be developing such a wonderful bond with the carers and other children! Communication with and from the management team has been great, especially with regards to health and safety measures during the pandemic. They are a hard-working team, committed to keeping the children and the staff safe.

Always funny and top educational activities and the kindness of all the staff is very appreciated. I am deaf and the staff try to speak with my mother tongue language sometimes, it was very kind of them. We recommend the nursery very much, they are very professional and kind with our children. The staff are all very warm and friendly and we can see how happy our child is to be there. They pay attention to detail and really seem to care about your child's development and progress – as well as, of course, the importance of having fun! The nursery has a progressive approach to a healthy lifestyle for the children – from well-balanced meals and yoga to spending lots of time outside. We feel very confident our child is receiving a well-rounded early years experience.

The staff here have done a phenomenal job, especially with everything going on this year. You can tell that they really care about the kids. They have all worked so hard to create a safe, fun and happy space. There’s such a good variety of different activities to help them learn and practice different skills and the garden is a good size for them too. They have managed to coax my shy little girl out of her shell and help her to form friendships with both her carers and her peers. I hope they know just how appreciative I am for everything they’ve done.

After seeing Little Gardens Hammersmith nursery, I knew this was the nursery for us. I adored the setup and what the nursey has to offer. The staff seem friendly and very competent so I recently contacted the nursery to discuss options of my child attending. I am so impressed with the way my questions were answered and how reassured I felt during my conversation that I have registered my little one's spot for next year. I believe the person I spoke to was the manager of Hammersmith nursery and she really made me feel at ease, how professional and passionate! One thing I love is that the nursery is plastic-free and this is absolutely incredible.

Little Gardens is a fantastic nursery which we would highly recommend. Our daughter joined when she was a 5-months-old baby and is now a confident 20-month-old toddler. The Little Gardens staff have nurtured and guided her through every development stage. The staff are competent and loving and they are tuned in to the children’s individual needs. The communication and management is very good which has especially showed in the professional handling of the recent Coronavirus crisis. Every day the kids have different activities on the program, for example crafts, baking and playing in the outdoor area. Our daughter clearly loves being at Little Gardens as she runs towards the nursery door every morning!

I can't thank the staff enough at Little Garden, they are simply amazing. We were a little worried about our daughter returning to nursery after lockdown as she apparently is in a peak 'separation anxiety' phase. However, nothing had changed from when she was there before lockdown. As we ring the buzzer at the front door in the morning, each time she smiles and gets more excited when the carer comes to the door. It's such a great way to start the day and get to work knowing that she is well looked after with staff who make her feel so special, who really care about her development and how she's progressing. I can't tell you how lovely it is that she is somewhere where she can enjoy, learn and chat to her new friends (even though she can't even talk yet) - she pretty much doesn't want to leave at the end of the day either! Thanks again to all the staff there, you should be extremely proud of what you achieve there every day and the difference you make to our lives.

Our son absolutely loves Little Garden – and so do we! He's been going there for just over 18 months and we've seen nothing but positive changes from the nursery in that time. The fantastic manager looks after a dedicated and caring team, all providing a really welcoming environment. They've dealt with the uncertainty of the COVID lockdown brilliantly in recent weeks and have been very proactive about putting in place measures to reassure parents and protect the children on their return. Day-to-day, they have a brilliant range of activities in place for the children – from Spanish to yoga – and the food is phenomenal. Our son also loves playing in the garden and they're good about getting the children out there almost every day. We're super lucky to have ended up with Little Garden almost on our doorstep, and we love watching our son develop under the watchful eye of such a great team. Thank you!
