Oak Tree Day Nursery is located in the Streatham Hill area of South West London. They offer care for children from three months old to five years. The children attending the nursery receive individual attention from the skilled and dedicated team which helps them to develop their learning skills at their own pace.

The nursery occupies a large detached house, which has been purposely renovated to provide an enabling and pleasant environment for children and families in the area. There is also a large outdoor area which features an impact-resistant play surface, adventure playground, mud kitchen and sensory garden which provides plenty of opportunity for exploration, play and learning.

The nursery follows the EYFS curriculum and offers extracurricular activities such as French, Music, Yoga and Sports. Music & Movement, Sports, Yoga and French are taught weekly by visiting teachers.

Children enjoy other learning programmes such as Living Eggs which allows the children to observe the hatching process and Zoolab visits with animals. There are also planned outings to museums, farms and theatres such as Polka theatre as well as other spontaneous local outings to the library, parks, shops etc.

In addition to the wide range of ICT and other equipment available to the children, pre-school children have access to touch screen interactive tables with several pre-installed programs to help with their learning and development.

The staff use iConnect for recording and assessing the children’s learning and development. iConnect uses an app called ParentZone to facilitate communication between the nursery staff and parents, keeping them informed throughout the day.

My son has been in this nursery for two years and five months. He has learnt a lot and gained so much confidence. He is happy with colleagues and nursery staff, enjoys the lovely garden, likes the food and always talks about what he learns there. The staff are excellent they care a lot about the children
and make them feel loved. I am so happy with the choice I have made and feel really sad that we will be moving areas so will have to change nurseries.

Overall, it's been excellent. My daughter, mum and daddy - we are very happy.


Everyone gave us a very warm welcome. The manager has been looking after us. We will recommend this nursery 100% to family members and friends. The little brother will join soon also who is also 1.

My son has settled in very quickly and very well at Oak Tree Nursery. On his first day, he had a friend that was 'assigned' to look out for him, this really, really helped my son as he soon felt part of the class.
The staff were very helpful, informative and supportive of me, a mum, who had had a
bad experience with a previous nursery.
My son is happy and confident, I know this because when I drop him off he runs in quickly to see his friends and when I pick him up he drags his feet because he wants to stay behind and play.
They have very healthy food choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. The amount of activities they have going on/upcoming is amazing.
My son really loves doing his French lessons and running around in the huge garden. Thank you all at Oak Tree Nursery.

I love the way the staff welcome the kids in the morning when the kids are being dropped off. My son enjoys the nursery and has really learnt a lot from them. He feels at home when he's at the nursery. From day one, he's never cried when I leave him at the nursery. The staff give the full detail of
what the kids did and ate the whole day which is amazing. My son never wants to leave the nursery when I come to pick him up in the evening. He runs about hiding behind his caretaker. I am really impressed by the service my son receives.

Both of my children are/have been very well looked after at Oak Tree Day Nursery. The staff are extremely polite, helpful and professional at all times.
They are like family to us and know my children inside out. My son is a very fussy eater and they've always catered alternatives for him.

Our daughter has been attending this nursery since she turned 1yr old. 3 months on, she is happy to go in the morning and appears happy when I pick her up in the evening. Pictures on the walls and seasonal cards made by the children show what they've been doing and the nursery assistants also give details
about their day. My only criticism (which I also shared with the nursery) is that some of the food is from the value range of a supermarket and I feel that we pay enough not to have the lowest quality food (e.g. value range yoghurt) served to the children. However, the nursery does provide a variety of foods and they don't serve cakes/muffins like some other nurseries. All members of the staff are very friendly, always smiling and the nursery does have a very good atmosphere, so I would definitely recommend them.

My children have been attending Oak Tree Day Nursery since 2013. They both started at around 9 months and really enjoy it. Older one is now over 4 and the facilities are great for babies and older children. The staff are very friendly and caring and the children get to participate in a wide range of
activities and outings.

My oldest child started attending this nursery in 2014, she settled in straight away due to the extreme, friendliness, helpfulness and attention provided by the staff. They were willing to go above and belong to get to know myself, my daughter and my youngest child. I've been so pleased with her progress
at this nursery and how they've supported us that I have subsequently sent my son here. He's needed more of a helping hand but this has been addressed and handled with no problems at all.

I recommend this nursery as my daughter has been coming here since she was 1 years old. She has been settled and happy by support from consistent staff members. I am so happy with the level of service and support I received from them. My daughter participated in fun activities every day which she enjoys.

The nurses are always very friendly, welcoming. They offer great activities and my son loves to go!
What I really like is the fact that there are pictures of the children and display them on the walls amongst their drawing/ paintings. You feel like you know what they've been doing.
The garden is amazing
and they go as soon as possible and as often as possible.
They also sometimes have someone presenting animals; they offer French lessons and music lessons. They organise parties for different celebrations such as Halloween or Christmas.

My son is clearly happy at the Nursery and is developing well. The nursery staff are attentive and diligent whilst always giving the parents comprehensive feedback at the end of each day.
