Peckham Rye Day Nursery and Preschool's staff provides exceptional care and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

In the cosy baby room, staff closely follow your child's home routine for a smooth transition, with access to a shared garden throughout the day.

Conveniently located near Peckham Rye and Nunhead train stations, staff also have onsite parking and are within the catchment for top schools like Ivydale and Dulwich College.

In a bright toddler room, staff foster independence and communication while supporting toilet training. Children aged 2 to 3 years develop essential skills for preschool in a nurturing environment. Preschoolers enjoy access to the garden and participate in Boogie Mites music sessions to explore the world through song.

A spacious, newly-refurbished garden features age-specific areas with engaging resources, including a water feature, digging area, racing track, and sandpit. Children enjoy walks to Peckham Rye Park, where children can explore nature and play.

The care covers nutritious meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, formula, and sun cream. It is open from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Peckham Rye Day Nursery has been a wonderful nursery for me. The manager is good and helpful. The teachers are excellent. They communicate with you in regards to your child's progress. They take good care of the kids very well. The school environment is so clean.

My daughter started here at the beginning of the year and has settled very quickly due to the lovely staff in the baby and toddler room. She adores her key worker and is simulated by the environment/toys provided.

I am very happy with the nursery, and I like my child's development she has improved a lot since she has been to pre-school. I am really happy with the way she learns. My daughter is really happy at nursery she talks about how she loves coming to nursery.

This nursery provides a nice childcare service with a long day which is helping me with my job hours.
Very friendly and helpful staff is looking after my child very well while I am working. It is a bit expensive but as soon as my child is safe and happy there and can carry on with my job then it is
the most perfect nursery for us.

When visiting the nursery I immediately got a positive impression seeing the space and meeting staff. My son loves the staff and is really happy at Peckham Rye Day nursery. The staff are very friendly and I feel safe leaving him with people who genuinely seem to really enjoy the kids and job. Great

My daughter has just moved up to the nursery room at Asquith. We have been pleased with the transition and have been impressed with how smoothly it has gone. It is sometimes slightly chaotic at morning drop off, but I feel that is expected as this is the busiest time.

We were very impressed by the care and attention taken to settle our daughter into the nursery, before she joined and during the critical first weeks. The manager and staff were tremendously understanding and accommodating. They made every effort to welcome our daughter and make her feel at home. She
loves the outside space, which they spend a lot of time in and enjoys all the activities they do each day.

A homely but very structured feel which has helped my little one to be such a confident boy. He is happy coming to nursery and has loads to share about the staff, children and his day.the new learning room has been very popular with children enjoying a variety of experience helping with life skills
like cooking, making observations etc.
I cannot compliment the staff and the chef. Everyone works as a family.

The staff at Asquith are excellent. Our daughter is very happy and it is obvious that the staff really care for her and all the children. I love the Peckham Rye Nursery because the staff are very friendly and nice to my daughter. The like the way they're teaching. In a couple of weeks, my daughter is able to recognise her name, speaks clearer English than before and she is very happy and loves her teachers and classmates.

My daughter has really grown over her time at Asquiths. She eats and plays well and clearly enjoys her time. Since the change in feedback sheets, I do not have as much visibility as before on her day as at pick up time everyone is clearing up, and does not have time to feedback. I am not concerned at
all, it is just nice for me to hear about her activities.

My son comes here and has been happy. The staff are brilliant and the new manager has introduced some nice initiatives and the nursery seems to have moved forward.


The garden is now getting done too. My child loves coming here, everything is great. I am also going to bring my second child here.

The staff at Asquith have been exceptional in looking after both my children from 10 months up to reception.


They make everyday fun and engaging and I really feel my children had an advantage when they started school in both social and academic skills.


I also rate the meals supplied very highly

- the chef does a brilliant job - I wish we could get takeaways now.

I just went with my sister to drop my niece and I was amazed at the ambience of the nursery. It was clean, smelled fresh and the staff were so welcoming. They asked if I wanted to come and see my nieces room and then showed me her peg, and spoke about things she has been doing.
The manager also looked
friendly and took time to talk about new initiatives in the nursery.
I felt like I needed to be a child again as the rooms looked very inviting. I spoke to my sister and she too is extremely happy.

Jamie has worked in childcare for over 10 years, beginning as a student and progressing to Nursery Manager at Peckham Rye.


Throughout their career, Jamie has been passionate about supporting children’s growth and development, taking pride in seeing them flourish into confident, independent, and nurtured individuals who are ready for school. With a calm and supportive approach, Jamie focuses on creating a welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.


As Manager, Jamie is dedicated to leading the team with the same nurturing ethos, ensuring every child and family receives the highest level of care and support.

Bianca

Bianca

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Bianca’s journey in childcare began long before her first professional role at the age of 18. With a lifelong passion for supporting children and families, she gained valuable experience through volunteering at local study centres, primary schools, holiday clubs and with Action for Children.


Over the years, Bianca has held a wide range of roles, including children’s football and cheerleading coach, mentor, teaching assistant, speech and language practitioner, and inclusion team member. She has also supported children in foster care, led a school unit, and progressed through nursery leadership roles as Baby Room Leader, Third in Charge, and now Deputy Manager at Peckham Rye. Each step in her career has deepened her knowledge and strengthened her commitment to creating positive experiences for every child.
