Peckham Rye Day Nursery and Preschool's staff provides exceptional care and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

In the cosy baby room, staff closely follow your child's home routine for a smooth transition, with access to a shared garden throughout the day.

Conveniently located near Peckham Rye and Nunhead train stations, staff also have onsite parking and are within the catchment for top schools like Ivydale and Dulwich College.

In a bright toddler room, staff foster independence and communication while supporting toilet training. Children aged 2 to 3 years develop essential skills for preschool in a nurturing environment. Preschoolers enjoy access to the garden and participate in Boogie Mites music sessions to explore the world through song.

A spacious, newly-refurbished garden features age-specific areas with engaging resources, including a water feature, digging area, racing track, and sandpit. Children enjoy walks to Peckham Rye Park, where children can explore nature and play.

The care covers nutritious meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, formula, and sun cream. It is open from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.

My daughter has been in the nursery’s baby room since August 2020 - she quickly settled and has really thrived. The staff there are very caring and nurturing, not only in her room, but across the nursery, taking time to talk to and play with her and ensuring that she feels safe and secure. She runs
into nursery each morning giving big hugs to the room staff and I never feel guilty about leaving her there, she absolutely loves it. They fit things to her schedule and are flexible with home routines, to try and maintain consistency, which I think really helped our little girl settle in. The team have met the challenges of Covid-19 well and have recognised the impacts on parents, taking steps to address these where possible and putting on evening visits so that we could ask questions and picture when our children were spending so much time. I really can’t recommend the nursery highly enough.

We transferred from another nursery and the transfer went very smoothly from day one. The staff were very welcoming and my daughter quickly felt at home. The staff kept us updated through daily feedback forms and informed us of the highlights and lowlights of her progress. We even had a PTA session.
Most importantly, as it is a very difficult period since Covid-19 started, the staff remained positive and my daughter loves going to daycare. Despite us not being able to tour the setting before we enrolled, hence a satisfactory rating on facilities, we are very happy.

Since day one my child loves to go to Bright Horizons Peckham Rye Day Nursery and Preschool. No matter how tired she is, if we say "wake up, you are going to nursery", she immediately jumps off the bed. She goes in with a big smile and comes out with an even bigger smile. What else does a parent want
but to see their children happy! Thank you very much for all the nurturing staff.

My daughter started here in December 2020, in Preschool Room. After 3 years at home, with me, I thought it would be difficult for her to get used to a new reality. After a few days I can already see the differences. She no longer cries when I take her and loves to play with her friends. The staff in
that room is phenomenal, her Room Leader is always so helpful with her feedback, and the manager and deputy manager have a very effective and positive management, always friendly and very helpful. I wouldn't put my daughter in any other nursery (and I have one nursery just under my apartment!).

Given the extreme circumstances of 2020 as well as being our son's first year at Bright Horizons, I cannot recommend or begin to say how impressed and happy I am that we picked this nursery. The activities, garden and space are fantastic and the staff are the best. So attentive and make it a really
special place which is why our son loves running through the front doors in the morning! Would recommend to friends, family and anyone else who asks.

Our daughter started at Bright Horizons Peckham Rye when she was 10.5-months-old, and over the past year, she's really become part of the family there. Her key worker is amazing, and our daughter runs in the door, all smiles, on nursery days. One thing that was mentioned on our tour when first visiting
the nursery was how the follow the lead of each child, so although there is a routine to the day, they don't insist on set nap times etc. In general, I feel this extends to all aspects of care which feels individualised and led by the children. For these reasons, I'd definitely recommend this branch of Bright Horizons.

We have had a long association with Peckham Rye Day Nursery. Our son graduated in 2017 and we will be very sad to take the girls out next month. The team are fabulous, it is a lovely site, particularly after the refurbishment and our girls have been very happy here.

Both of our children have attended this nursery over the last five years and we have had an excellent experience. Very good continuity of staff who are friendly and welcoming. They really care about the children and look after them well. There is always a wide range of activities and creative things
to do, plus plenty of good quality toys. The nursery has a great outdoor space and equipment for lots of outdoor play. I have always felt my children are being well looked after, with a good routine and lovely food, giving me full peace of mind each day they have been there.

The nursery has amazing facilities, lovely toys and a beautiful garden. It is all very clean.
The staff are very friendly, welcoming and supportive.
The children are very well looked after and they have a day filled with fun and educational activities.
The food is cooked on the spot and is nutritional
and delicious. I am overall very pleased we chose this nursery for our baby daughter.

Peckham Rye Day Nursery is a warm, welcoming home away from home for my daughter.
Staff are caring and considerate, they pay attention to each child's individual needs and interact meaningfully with parents. Activities, good quality food and lots of outdoor time are all a plus.

I had an amazing experience with this nursery all along. All the staff are incredibly kind and caring and welcoming. The refurbished place looks really good. The management is also very helpful and responsive to every comment we make. I am truly happy with the decision I made with the nursery considering
it was not easy to select the right one both for us and for our little one. This nursery feels like a family to me and my child now. My son started in the nursery room.

Since our daughter started in September, she has come in leaps and bounds. The staff are WONDERFUL and we couldn’t be happier with the care provided. We hear about everything she gets up to on a daily basis and she seems to really have taken to the key workers and other children. Highly recommend!

Our son had a fantastic time whilst at Asquith Peckham Rye Day Nursery and we are sad that due to a house move he has to leave. The standard of care is outstanding, his key person and room leader genuinely cared for our son and he flourished with their support, learning to share and make friends, helped
him settle into a nursery environment. Fantastic outdoor area and facilities with a loving creative team. Can't recommend enough!

Throughout their career, Jamie has been passionate about supporting children’s growth and development, taking pride in seeing them flourish into confident, independent, and nurtured individuals who are ready for school. With a calm and supportive approach, Jamie focuses on creating a welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.


As Manager, Jamie is dedicated to leading the team with the same nurturing ethos, ensuring every child and family receives the highest level of care and support.

Bianca

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Bianca’s journey in childcare began long before her first professional role at the age of 18. With a lifelong passion for supporting children and families, she gained valuable experience through volunteering at local study centres, primary schools, holiday clubs and with Action for Children.


Over the years, Bianca has held a wide range of roles, including children’s football and cheerleading coach, mentor, teaching assistant, speech and language practitioner, and inclusion team member. She has also supported children in foster care, led a school unit, and progressed through nursery leadership roles as Baby Room Leader, Third in Charge, and now Deputy Manager at Peckham Rye. Each step in her career has deepened her knowledge and strengthened her commitment to creating positive experiences for every child.
