My son started going to nursery in February right after he turned 2 years old and went straight into the toddler room.
I am very happy so far with the care this nursery is providing. The teachers are all lovely and always give me a review of how his day was when I go in to pick him up.
He was able
to settle very quickly and I am sure the amazing staff had a big part in this.
The classrooms are spacious and nicely set up with different areas for different types of play and the garden is nicely done with loads of toys to play with.

My son started in the baby room Jan 2023 being thirteen months, nervous and sad to leave my baby which the staff knew, they have been and still are fantastic. We haven't had any issues at all with the nursery and can see the relationship already that my son has not only with his key person (who is amazing)
but also the rest of the staff including the chef and nursery manager. We get a thorough handover at each pick-up and great to hear about the activities of what the children get up to. You can really see the staff care about the children and the attention to detail is what we want as a parent. They have also provided me with tips and tricks, main one to help my son settle at night time! There is an extensive menu for lunch and snacks.
The outside space in the garden is massive and look forward to seeing more updates from them playing outside now the weather is better. In short, I would strongly recommend this nursery to anyone, especially, first timers or nervous parents.

I did not realise how bad this nursery was until we moved our child to another nursery. There is one staff member, the baby room manager, that I would like to call out for always being such a joy and who should not be associated with the negative review to follow.
From not being allowed in, to not
knowing the other children's names, to the sporadically changing hours - which you are not compensated for, it's hard to think of anything positive. However, what upsets me the most is that the staff was giving my 18-month-old child sweets, without my knowledge, in the early evening before pick up to "keep them happy." Additionally, you will often see the staff on smoke breaks outside 2 hours into their shift. And you will likely get calls to let you know that your child is the last child in the room. Sorry, it's 4 PM on a Friday and I'm in central London working. You will get norovirus every 6 weeks because things aren't cleaned properly. I could go on and on, but I'm out of characters.

After 11 months in the baby room, my son has just gone up to the toddler room and I wanted to say how fantastic the baby room has been. I was incredibly anxious, leaving my son, who was 11 months old when he started. As a lockdown baby, he had only ever been with us. The staff in the baby room were
fantastic. You could just see how much they cared about him right from the start and I knew he was in safe hands. I always felt I could call just to see how he was doing. The staff never made me feel like I was taking up their time, even though they are very busy. Finally, I want to say how hard the staff work. I particularly remember my son's key worker coming in on her day off to finish a wall display for the children. Busy Bees are very lucky to have her and the other staff.

I was a very nervous parent, leaving the most precious thing in my life with strangers and after COVID but I cannot express how grateful I am to all the staff, they made me feel at ease, allowed me to do as many settles as I needed and are very accommodating. The manager is very friendly and did her
best to make me feel secure in leaving my child. I would not send him anywhere else.

My daughter started in September 2020, she was very unsettled. The girls all made me feel so comfortable leaving my daughter. The girls reassured me that she would soon settle in, now I struggle getting her home. I was having trouble with toilet training at home, my daughter didn't want underwear on,
now she is making me for no nappy and to wear underwear to use the toilet/potty!

We are extremely happy with how our daughter is developing and how much she has learnt since starting in March 2020. She is currently in the baby room and loves going into the room to see her key worker, other teachers and friends. W love seeing her artwork and photos of what she has been doing through-out
the day. She's now 16 months and already counting to 4 and I know the girl's work has contributed to that.

I am a parent who was very anxious about returning after lockdown but I am very pleased to say the manager and staff team have done an amazing job of making me feel assured that my little girl is safe. The cleaning is brilliant, always seeing staff cleaning the doors and handles when we are dropping
off or picking up.
Well done Busy Bees at London Mottingham, I am a very happy mummy.

My son has been at the Mottingham nursery since he was 10 months old, the staff were really attentive to his needs as he was a little bit delayed. Unfortunately, we left during lockdown as he was starting school in September and I was planning on taking him out in June, if it was not for COVID then
he would have been there until that month. The staff were always around to give me feedback and always worked with me to help him develop, I would not put my child anywhere else if I was to have another.

My son has been in Tree Tops since September 2017 and we have both had a brilliant time.

He loves going to see all the girls and I always feel happy with his progress and happy he is safe.

He is now in preschool and I know he'll be sad to leave at the end of July as will I. We've had a great time.

Generally very pleased with the nursery. Our child has grown in confidence and we have complete trust in the staff (the low turnover of staff is very encouraging). Would like to see a bit more invention with the menu, however, I understand there are limits for children at such a young age. The hours
are very convenient for us and the staff always have a smile!

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.524)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.524) out of 10 for Busy Bees London Mottingham is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.757 for Busy Bees London Mottingham is calculated as follows: ( (118 Excellents x 5) + (31 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 152 Ratings = 4.757
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.767 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees London Mottingham is based on 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.825
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 69 number of registered child places is 13.8. 13 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.8 = 0.942
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
