Gumboots Nursery & Pre-School

Gumboots is a friendly nursery and a home away from home for our son. He’s learnt so much and made many friends.

Our children have always been happy to go to Gumboots, frequently reluctant to leave at the end of the day. The staff are kind and considerate and communication to parents is regular.

We feel that they are safe and secure there, and developing important relationships which will serve them well in their lives.

I just wanted to say how brilliant I have found this nursery. I have two children at Gumboots and have been thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the staff, the fantastic range of activities and celebrations they undertake and the deep care the staff have for the children there. It is obvious the children have fun there and I know what great hands my kids are in when I drop them off before work. They take a genuine interest in the kids home life and do a great job at relaying what the kids get up to when you pick them up. I cannot rate this place highly enough!

Great open plan space indoors for the children to explore and even more wonderful outdoor space. Gumboots has been a great environment for my daughter to develop confidence and social interaction skills with friends, preparing her for school in the coming months. The staff are fantastic at developing relationships with the children.

This is a fantastic nursery. The children are very happy there. The care is excellent. Outdoor facilities and opportunities for outdoor activities better than in other nurseries in the area.

This nursery is fantastic. My son has been there since he was 12 months and the staff have really nurtured him. They all know him really well and make him and me feel special-it is like a family. He has fun and has learnt lots of new things independently from me. He is very happy there and I am happy leaving him. Knowing that the staff are looking after him really well. The layout and garden space are excellent.

Our children are really happy at Gumboots. The staff are supportive, attentive and highly professional. They take a keen interest in the development of children and their wellbeing. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. You really get a sense that they care about the children. It feels as though the staff often go above and beyond what is required of them. The team apply themselves very imaginatively to developing interesting and creative experiences for the children. The management team must be incredibly busy too, but still take the time to know the children individually. The staff at Gumboots are very approachable. As parents, we feel we can talk to them easily about how our kids are doing there.

The best thing about Gumboots is the staff. The carers really care about the children and show them love and fondness as well as being fun and encouraging which for me is the most important thing. There is a family feeling to the nursery and many staff have worked there for many years which is a credit to the wonderful management.

The gardens, for a city location, are huge and green and the children are able to get lots of fresh air. The large shaded area allows shelter from the sun and rain so fun can be had all year around.

Feedback at the end of the day is very informative allowing any issues to be discussed and resolved.

The home cooked food is amazing. Such a varied and healthy menu.

Since my first son stated at Gumboots in September 2015, and my second son starting in March 2017, I have been amazed and humbled at the care and attention we have received as a family. The staff are attentive, caring and passionate about the children's welfare and development. All of the children at Gumboots are clearly happy with the positive and nurturing environment. Gumboots has an excellent local reputation, which I often hear as my business is based locally.

Really happy with the staff and facilities, my daughter really enjoys the range of activities and loves going.

My twins started at Gumboots in April (aged 1) and I couldn't be happier. They have settled well and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were all ok. They have a wonderful time and I know they are being well looked after.

My daughter has attended Gumboots nursery since she was one year old and she is now a confident and happy four-year-old soon to be starting school. Gumboots has provided outstanding care since the outset and I trust the staff implicitly to look after her and support her in every way she needs. I also feel supported as a parent and the staff always have time to chat to you about your children's progress. It is a very special place with dedicated, caring staff and a bright and cheerful environment. My youngest daughter has just started and I am sure she is going to love it as much as her sister has.

This is a great nursery with amazing staff who really love and support the children's growth. We feel confident that our children are in good hands. My kids love going to nursery are happy and always learning new things. We are kept up to date on their progress and feel fully supported by the staff.

A wonderful nursery run by lovely and caring people. The garden area is particularly fantastic and lots of fun, messy and creative activities are planned. I know my little boy is very well looked after.
