The Nursery is in the heart of East Dulwich, not far from the station. It's a spacious nursery with separate rooms and gardens for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. The caring, dedicated staff have worked together for many years.

The children enjoy a varied and stimulating timetable - cooking with the chef, Zumba classes, gardening – every day is different! They also love getting involved in the wider community, taking trips to the local shops or visiting the elderly. They run regular quiz nights too, so parents and grandparents can join in the fun.

Teaching the children about healthy eating is important too. The on-site chef prepares nutritious and balanced meals from LEYF’s menu.

Gumboots provides a safe and caring environment for our daughter to have fun and learn with her friends. She has blossomed since going to Gumboots. The team are fantastic and always great at updating us with her progress. I would highly recommend this nursery.

This nursery is exceptional. Wholly focused on the holistic needs of each child, children thrive in this wonderfully caring, play based learning environment. Its quality sings to you everyday. As a parent, you couldn’t wish for better.

We feel extremely lucky to be able to send both of our daughters to Gumboots Community Nursery. Our eldest has now been attending for three years and we have been consistently amazed by the quality of both the nursery itself and more importantly, the wonderful staff who work there. Choosing a nursery
was a big decision and sending our children to any nursery would have been a major transition for them - fortunately, the team at Gumboots are incredibly adept at assisting children during these moments of change, and our eldest in particular now adores meeting her friends at nursery. We could not recommend Gumboots more highly.

Gumboots provides a relaxed, warm, caring and stimulating environment for the children it cares for. My son loves his days there. Another huge plus for me (as a professional nutrtitionist) is that the food is all prepared on site and is diverse and nutritious. I'd highly recommend this nursery to any
parent or carer.

Fantastic all round quality of childcare. Children are well looked after with a diverse and ever-changing list of activities and outings for them to partake in. Parents are well informed of the child's well-being and progress with any behavioural or developmental concerns brought to their attention.

Excellent care of children. Staff show a real interest in the development of all children and build bespoke plans for each child around what their key interests are. We have always been very happy with the way our son has progressed at the nursery and how content he seems to be there

My daughter loves going to nursery. She always gets a warm welcome in the morning and she genuinely loves the nursery staff. They provide a fun, caring and secure environment where the children are encouraged to learn about the world through play and creativity. They have a great garden where the children
can play and discover more about nature.

My youngest child currently attends Gumboots and loves it. The staff are attentive and the children love them.
The outside space is fabulous and I would happily recommend it to other parents.

My little boy has settled in brilliantly and is very happy at Gumboots.
The team is kind and caring and the atmosphere is full of fun and joy.
They have amazing outside space, with slides and playhouses and enjoy diverse activities including yoga and gardening as well as particularly good roleplay
facilities with the cars outside and play kitchens inside.
They read and sing and encourage painting, drawing and messy play with water, sand etc daily.
The food is healthy and I can’t fault the staff - who are also fantastically supportive and flexible.

Hello, my name is Carol and I have been the nursery manager at Gumboots Nursery & Pre-School since 2014. I am also a senior nursery manager.
