The Nursery is in the heart of East Dulwich, not far from the station. It's a spacious nursery with separate rooms and gardens for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. The caring, dedicated staff have worked together for many years.

The children enjoy a varied and stimulating timetable - cooking with the chef, Zumba classes, gardening – every day is different! They also love getting involved in the wider community, taking trips to the local shops or visiting the elderly. They run regular quiz nights too, so parents and grandparents can join in the fun.

Teaching the children about healthy eating is important too. The on-site chef prepares nutritious and balanced meals from LEYF’s menu.

The nursery has a warmth and energy to it which I didn't find elsewhere when looking for my daughter. The garden is very big for this area of London and I really like knowing that the children are outside regularly. The food that is prepared daily is wide-ranging and doesn't shy away from dishes that
introduce new tastes.

We feel so very lucky that our little girl is at Gumboots - she’s absolutely thrived there and is a confident, kind and happy child which is no doubt in part because of the care and development she receives at nursery. The staff are second to none and form close bonds with the children based on an ethos
of kindness and respect. We would highly recommend Gumboots.

The staff make a huge effort to organise social gatherings for the children and parents to enjoy. The recent Valentine’s Day breakfast was a wonderful way for the children across the nursery to interact - fabulous.

Gumboots is a real joy to be part of - the manager and staff are all so lovely, welcoming and caring! My son practically runs in in the morning and gives everyone a big cuddle when he leaves. I leave happy in the knowledge that not only is he well looked after and cared for but loved also. The staff
in his room give off such a part of the family vibe.

When you tell your daughter she’s going to nursery and she does a little dance to celebrate - you know that they are doing something right!

Our daughters have all attended Gumboots over the years. Our youngest daughter who still attends Gumboots has developed in so many ways and is a more confident child and looks forward to going into nursery every day. The nursery itself is a fun and lively environment and I think it provides the backdrop
for more effective learning.

Wonderful/safe/loving/learning environment for my 3 year old and I could not ask for more.


Most of all- Management are the best I've ever encountered and are beyond helpful and accommodating.

I was so worried about my daughter starting nursery as she didn’t like being with anyone other than my husband and me but I absolutely needn’t have worried. The staff at Gumboots are amazing - caring, friendly, creative and inclusive, and have helped my daughter to be a confident and outgoing toddler.
She started in the baby room and has progressed through the rising 2s to the 2-3 year room where she is now. The staff and facilities in all rooms have been brilliant and I would not want my daughter to attend anywhere else. She really loves it there and adores all the staff members. And as a fussy eater at home, I’m hugely grateful for the varied and delicious looking food that is provided which she gobbles up no problem! Thank you Gumboots - we love you!

A really well-run nursery with amazing staff who really care about the kids. The facilities are amazing and the food is of a high quality.

Our children have always been happy to go to Gumboots, frequently reluctant to leave at the end of the day. The staff are kind and considerate and communication to parents is regular.

I just wanted to say how brilliant I have found this nursery. I have two children at Gumboots and have been thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the staff, the fantastic range of activities and celebrations they undertake and the deep care the staff have for the children there. It is obvious
the children have fun there and I know what great hands my kids are in when I drop them off before work. They take a genuine interest in the kids home life and do a great job at relaying what the kids get up to when you pick them up. I cannot rate this place highly enough!

Great open plan space indoors for the children to explore and even more wonderful outdoor space. This nursery is fantastic. My son has been there since he was 12 months and the staff have really nurtured him. They all know him really well and make him and me feel special-it is like a family. He has fun and has learnt lots of new things independently from me. He is very happy there and I am happy
leaving him. Knowing that the staff are looking after him really well. The layout and garden space are excellent.

Hello, my name is Carol and I have been the nursery manager at Gumboots Nursery & Pre-School since 2014. I am also a senior nursery manager. People would describe me as fun, passionate and dedicated to the nursery and to the children in our care. Our nursery is family friendly and welcoming, with a fantastic staff team.
