LAS Nursery is an independent Ofsted graded GOOD nursery (May 2023), based in Hackney, for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery is open from 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday.

LAS nursery is set in an old schoolhouse building, with spacious rooms that have been beautifully decorated and are flooded with natural light.

Facilities include a private garden equipped with mud kitchens, a water play station, dedicated area for non walkers, planters, a bird feeding wall and picnic tables.

There is a sensory room with a range of sensory toys, mirrors, a ball pit, lights and a tee pee filled with cushions for some quiet time.

Meal times are spent together around the table in the canteen where meals are served from the onsite kitchen. All meals and snacks are nutritionist approved and prepared on site but the nursery chef.

The nursery team is qualified in early years education, experienced and dedicated to creating a welcoming, inclusive learning environment for all children.

The curriculum is planned around the EYFS and includes a wide variety of inspiring learning activities and daily extra curricular sessions including yoga, music and movement, Forest School, cooking club, French and Portuguese lessons - all included within the fees. There are regular excursions to the local park, nearby library and farm to name a few.

There is a strong emphasis on parent partnership to deliver the best learning experiences according to the individual needs of every child. The nursery runs monthly parent workshops covering topics from first aid to baby massage to fussy eating and speech development as well as family events with the children.

Our eighteen month old has been at Little Angels' Schoolhouse for just over six months now and we really feel we lucked out with this nursery and the amazing staff. They are so attentive to his development and we have really seen him grow and learn so much in the last few months. He loves going in every
day to play with his pals and we really enjoy the updates that we receive now through the app. The app tracks milestones, observations and where the staff share any pictures and videos of fun activities that they have been up to with the children. They have been truly supportive during these uncertain times and remained open throughout the lockdown, going above and beyond to put precautions in place and communicate everything with us. We really couldn't be happier, he is in a small class and gets lots of attention and I have already recommended this nursery to our friends.

My daughter has been at Little Angels Schoolhouse since August 2020, and is thriving in the care and support of the staff there. Everyone from the manager through to the individual caregivers in the classroom are attentive, loving, supportive, encouraging and all-round wonderful people! She loves going
to nursery, and as a parent, it's great to see her develop and grow.
The nursery follows the current COVID guidelines and despite the pandemic, have managed to stimulate the children with fun educational activities. Nutrition-wise, the chef is excellent and the children are also offered a wide variety of healthy food. The nursery also provides regular updates in the Famly app, including photos and videos, which is a lovely way be informed of how the day is going.
It's a difficult decision to send your child to nursery during a pandemic, but I have such peace of mind thanks to Little Angels Schoolhouse and I could not recommend the nursery more!

We have had two kids at Little Angel Schoolhouse for the last two years and we have been so grateful to this nursery. The staff are amazing and truly love and care about the children. Every day is a new day of fun and exploring and the kids are so happy to attend nursery every day. I really appreciate
the focus on learning and how creative the staff are to always come up with fun activities based on learning. The food is also amazing and I love that we can see the menu they’re having every day. My kids are not the best eaters at home, so it is so nice to know that they get really varied and healthy food in the nursery. We will soon move back to our home country and I am sure my kids will be way ahead of their peers when it comes to learning. Thank you Little Angels for giving the kids the very best start to life.

My son has only been at the nursery for three months, and in that short period of time, Little Angels Schoolhouse has made such an impression on our family. We have felt supported from the first settling in session and throughout. Nothing is too much for the team - they are on hand to answer questions,
put you at ease, and make you feel part of the family. Our son has developed so much since joining, and it's an absolute joy to see him on the cameras every day. Each member of staff makes sure they know your child, so no matter who you see at the gate in the morning or afternoon, you know that if you have a question or worry that it's listened to. We couldn't recommend it enough. It's a really lovely nursery, with an incredible staff.

Little Angels' Schoolhouse is a nursery with a nice community feel. Both my children have thrived, my younger one continues to thrive there. The staff are professional, age-appropriate in each of the different rooms. I'd definitely recommend this nursery.

Little Angels have provided a great first nursery experience for my daughter. They have a very flexible approach and try to do everything possible to accommodate different schedules and preferences, especially during the settling in period. Their communication around the children's day to day routines
while in the nursery and progression has been great, and all the staff are lovely. Would definitely recommend.

I like Little Angel's Schoolhouse for many reasons but above all, a very important one: my daughter is very happy with the nursery. I can see how well she is taken care of, from the food to the wide range of activities she is busy with the whole day.
I also value the fact that Little Angel's provide
a diverse environment, naturally shaping kids toward appreciation of other people's backgrounds.

Our son started at Little Angels when he was 9 months old, and he is now 18 months. When I began looking around nurseries whilst pregnant, Little Angels felt so much more like a family than any of the others that I viewed, and that combined with the fact you can see your child on webcam during the day
reassured me that this was the right choice. Our son has been so happy there from the moment he started - I have seen him develop so much in that time, and the staff always have lovely activities planned for them. The nursery is small enough that all staff (including the Chef) know him and he has developed attachments to many of them. The manager is brilliant and very happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have, which is always reassuring. I think the family feel is really important at Little Angels, as it really is what sets it aside from others.

Our daughter started at Little Angels Schoolhouse at 4 months old.
The team at the nursery were so supportive of settling our girl into the nursery, and we took every day as it came. Every decision was made with how our daughter was responding to the team and environment first.
As a new mum, any
change to routine was precious, but both my daughter and I have benefitted to having the support of the nursery to discuss nap times, feeding, stimulation etc.
Every day is a different day in the nursery, full of some new activity/theme and lots of happy children! When looking around nurseries before settling with Little Angels Schoolhouse, it wasn't the tidiest / newest / fanciest nursery, but it was the happiest and we felt at home instantly.
The manager and team are just excellent, passionate and responsive, and you can see how everyone is working together to ensure that the nursery is the best it can be for the children to have the best time away from home.

We're excited to be reunited in August and to see how big she is now and all the new things she has learnt. We've missed out on so much already. I'm so pleased to hear that you could see how happy we all are to be playing such an important role in your child's life. We're an old school building connected to the church so after 15-years of being open, we had started the renovations of the nursery with a new paint job in all the rooms and hallways, new children's bathroom, flooring in the hallway, new units and resources in most of the rooms. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish with the rest of our plan, which included a big garden renovation due to the lockdown. We're hoping once everything has returned to some form of normality, we can continue so the rest of the nursery can be looking fancy and new.

Our twin boys have been with Little Angel's School since they were 6 months old.
We initially chose the Nursery because of the hours and fees but we could not have been happier with our choice.
The twins love it there, they're smitten with the teachers and all the other staff, we know that they're
in good hands because they cannot wait to go to the nursery in the mornings and they hate being picked up.
The teachers have given us valuable tips and advice for taking care of them, which were valuable to first-time parents like ourselves.
We would highly recommend the Nursery for any other parents and children.

I couldn't ask for more. My Son has been attending for the past 15 months. I have complete assurance that he's being taken care of and that all his needs are met to a high standard. The staff make it so easy, they have a fantastic approach to both child and parent and are always supportive, caring and
understanding. I know they have his best interests at heart and a mother that's all you can ask for. Little Angels communicate clearly, following government guidelines on development, education and nutrition and provide a daily report. We also have parents evening and work together continuously on all aspects of his development. During his time we have progressed from the Baby room to Tweenies and now Red Acorns each room focusing on their key stages. At the end of each year, we are given a scrapbook which is a great memory keepsake. The nursery provides CCTV which is a comfort and is strict on security. The nursery has a great community, family, friendly feel and my son is happy.

Little Angels Schoolhouse is a really lovely little boutique nursery. My son who is 18 months started to attend this nursery when he just turned one year old and he absolutely loves it. The staff are warm and caring and I really trust and know that they take care of my baby as if he is their own. He
has developed attachments to his keyworker and he has really developed socially. They have a webcam, so you can see your little one at any time of the day when they are there; there are lots of activities to help their development and the food that they serve is nutritious. Also, during this time of lockdown we feel that they have kept us well I formed with developments. I really love this nursery and I really hope that they get more children and stay open.

Our daughter first attended the nursery when she was 14 months. She had a very hard time being away from us as nursery was her first substantial experience of separating from us. The staff were amazing in helping her (and us!) settle in. They were very loving and affectionate with her which reassured
us and alleviated our anxiety greatly. She settled after a 6 weeks period and since then, loves it. We are very grateful to staff and management who are always smiling and willing to help.
The facilities at the nursery are good and are being improved further.
Overall we have had a very positive experience at Little Angel’s Schoolhouse.

It's a lovely boutique nursery managed in a loving way along with the owners.
My kids have a lovely key worker and all the staff are always so caring towards the kids. I really like the warm family feel of the nursery and very happy with my twin boys being under their care.

My children started in this nursery when they were 8 months old and are still going today, on a full time basis (they are 2 years old). The nursery needs renovating as it is a little bit old fashioned but the current management team are aware of that and are renovating it bit by bit. The staff are lovely
and always try to accommodate parents' requests. The long hours the nursery covers (7.30am to 6.30pm) are very convenient for working parents and the prices are really competitive compared to other nurseries in the neighbourhood.

Our son loves going to Little Angels. He’s always happy when we get there and sometimes reluctant to come home. He really enjoys the food and activities and comes home singing songs he’s learnt. He has always slept well there, whether in a cot or in a bed. The staff are warm and caring and helped our
son with lots of milestones like moving off formula, giving up his dummy at nap time, talking and now potty training. The manager and deputy manager are great, really passionate and obviously care about the children in their care. They stay open until 6:30pm which really helps us as working parents and I think the fees represent good value for money. The only thing I’d like to see more of is getting the kids out of the nursery more often on trips to the park etc. I’ve been meaning to write a review for over a year and finally have the time. I would recommend the nursery to other parents and am now expecting a little girl who I hope to send there when I go back to work.

Our child enjoys going to Little Angels. The staff are all very committed and caring for the well being of the children and they have experience helping them to develop. Our baby has become a very social little parrot that enjoys playing with the other children.

My daughter started nursery at Little Angels Schoolhouse in January 2019. On her first week I attended the nursery with her for three days around 1-2 hours so that she could get settled. On the fourth and fifth day, my child was able to do three hours without me at the nursery and the week after she
started her two full days.
The staff are all very friendly and helped her settle in very quickly and I can see she absolutely loves going there. There are so many activities that keep her busy at all times. I cannot recommend the nursery enough. As a parent of my child attending nursery, I was also provided with log in details where I can see my child on webcam from time to time. I’m very pleased I choose Little Angels.

    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 number of registered child places is 13, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
